WANDA MAXIMOFF X READER
» in which your 4 year relationship with the scarlet witch comes to a speeding halt as she caught you in a one-night-stand with another woman.
» in the morning you insisted that it meant nothing, you hardly even remembered what the other woman looked like, let alone her name. Wanda was still the only woman for you.
______________
Wanda was devoid of all emotion, yet she was teeming with it at the same time. She was tired, her eyes were dark, and her body was achy but she couldn't sleep.
She was slumped on the couch on her floor of the tower, she was wearing a tight and short black dress. Wanda had been clubbing in hopes to find someone new, even though she knew she wouldn't.
It's been months since she's lost you and its been a living hell for her.
She swished the brandy in her cup around and the only sound in the room was the pattering of the rain outside and the ice cubes as they clinked against the glass. She brought the glass to her lips and swallowed the remainder of the alcohol, embracing the short buzz that then worked to depress her systems.
She wanted to move on, so badly. She wanted to hate you, to despise you for what you did to her, but she knew that she never could. Hell, right after the event she went searching through your mind to find any possible explanation to why you would cheat on her, but all of your words checked out. You didn't even know the other woman's name and all she sensed was overwhelming guilt and love from you.
crawlin' back to you
ever thought of calling when you've had a few?
cause i always do
You had her wrapped around your finger and you didn't even know it. Wanda knew that she was the only woman that you loved but she couldn't look at you without seeing that other woman's hands all over you, and you allowing it.
She held the empty glass by the rims with the tips of her fingers, her hand stretched over the armrest of the couch.
Wanda looked to her phone that was sitting on the clear coffee table in front of her, along with trash, random clutter, and an bottle of red wine ready to be opened whenever she needed it next.
She craved your voice, your touch, your love. She wanted to call you so badly, cry to you that she's sorry and she should have believed you. As she stared at the phone she ever wondered if you do the same, if you ever think about calling her and apologizing.
She gets like this every time she goes out and gets wasted, which has been happening more and more lately, in attempt to drown her feelings.
maybe im too
busy being yours to fall for somebody new
Wanda found someone tonight, she was gorgeous and she had gorgeous hair that reminded her of yours. She danced with her, and drank with her, but at the end of the night she had to break it off. Every quality that she loved about her, was one that she loved about you.
By now she's thought it through, she'll always be crawling back to you.
Often times when Wanda sits alone with a drink in her hand, nights like these. She wonders if this feeling flows both ways. Is she the only one dying over the love that's lost between the two of you? Is the love even lost at all?
Wanda's hair swept to the side as Pietro sped into the room. He stayed quiet as he absorbed the sight in front of him, that had been nearly the same for the past months.
"Sister," he mumbled quietly, unsure of what else to say that he hasn't already.
Wanda kept her gaze on the rain pattering against the windows outside.
Pietro's resolve melted away as he saw silent tears welling up in Wanda's eyes, he had comforted her through pain so many times, but never like this. His heart was breaking for his already broken sister, but he didn't know what to say. Deciding she would be better left alone, he pressed a kiss to the temple of her forehead before speeding off to his floor of the tower, causing another gust of wind.
Wanda didn't notice she was crying again, until the blast of wind from Pietro dried a streak from her face.
She felt too broken to move, although the pain was on the inside. She let the tears flow freely down her face and her head spun as she lost any track of time.
She hated how you could do this to her. She hated how you were the only thing on her mind and she didn't even know if she had crossed your mind at all today.
Her rebounding thoughts were interrupted by a ring from the door that connected to the elevator.
Although the noise has broken her from her trance she didn't move, figuring if they didn't hear anything they would leave, but she heard a knock after a minute or so.
Wanda felt like she was using all of her energy to get up off of the couch as she placed her glass down on the coffee table and stumbled over to the door.
Wanda yanked it open, ready to slam it back shut after telling whoever was behind it to leave.
Her breath caught in her throat and she suddenly felt more awake than she has in months as her eyes met yours.
The two of you said nothing as you took in the sight of each other's broken being.
You were paler than normal, you looked like you had lost a few pounds and mascara was smeared on your face. Your eyes were red and puffy and your cheeks were stained with tears.
You were wearing jeans and a sweatshirt that you hadn't noticed was inside-out. You smelled like cigarette smoke, a nasty habit that you had picked back up after losing Wanda.
After a moment, you opened your mouth to softly speak. Your eyes spilling over with tears again, as emotions resurfaced seeing the love of your life in front of you once more.
"I couldn't live without you anymore." You quietly mumbled to yourself, looking down at your shoes. Guilt flooded over you as you relived the day Wanda caught you with another woman, your tears dripped onto the floor.
You looked up to Wanda, and you couldn't read her face.
'this was a mistake' you thought, as you tried to think up another excuse to leave, wondering why you would bring yourself to the tower again in the first place.
"I.."
You didn't get to finish, as you felt Wanda's lips crashing into yours. Her hands cupped your neck, and you didn't hesitate to kiss back. She pulled you in through the door, and as she closed it, she had your back pressed against it. Your hands were on her hips, and roaming about her body, absorbing all the perfection that you had been deprived of since the two of your broke up.
The love you two shared was something special, something that you felt like no one in the world has ever had before. You kissed her like she was air, like you would die without her, and she kissed you with all the emotion that she had bottled up, and she sure as hell knew she was never letting you go again. Wanda knew that you missed her just as much as she missed you when she opened up that front door, yet still, she couldn't help but to wonder,
Do you want me crawling back to you?
