I woke up on my queen sized bed and moved my black curles out of my face. I rubbed my eyes and streched. I moved my duvae off my lap and shuved my coled feet in my pink slippers. As i walked infront of my mirror and noticed my bun untied in my sleep. I stared at my refelection for about 30 secounds and walked out the door. My feet made creaking sounds as I walked down the hardwood hallway.
I noticed my dad eating his cheerios. He looked at me and gave me his familiar crooked smile. "Have a pleasnt beauty sleep princess?" I laughed i sercretly liked when he called me princess. "Yeah..whats happining?" whenever i asked whats happining he knew i was talking about the latest headlines on the paper he read every morning. He said something about children in africa, but I just listend to the sound of his tired voice. "What time you wake up this morning?" I said as I poured a glass of orange juice into my mug. "8,..6:30?" "Dad! What do you do that early in the morning?" "Haa," he said trying to avoid the question. I walked upstairs and down the hall into my fairly large bedroom. I sat on my bed and grabbed my cell phone off my side table. I called my best friend shauna. Her real name was Rayshana but no one called her that. It was a emediant answer. "what are you wereing to school today?" "its a long weekend retard.." i say jokeingly. "Oh shutup".
We talked for about half an hour and she had to go. I hung up my phone and lied on my bed peacefully. "Dami..Damion stop please. Ahh.." it was quite I jumped off my bed and grabbed a pair of sicssors of my dresser. I ran down stairs quickly and saw my mother on the ground with a black eye. Was she alive? I saw saw my dad standing motionless watching her. He didint notice me. "WHAT DID YOU DO?" I cried. "Shae.." I slapped his hand before it could touch my shoulder. "Dont touch me" I say harshley. He is taken back by my tone. "You dont fucking talk to me that way you little bitch". I was scared. He grabbed my sicissors from my hand. I tried to pull them back but he sliced my hand. " "Go to hell" "Shae!" he screams. He grabs my chin and pulls up my head. He takes the scissors and sliced my face. Pain shoots all over, and I'm in deep shock. I zoned back into reality when i saw my mother talking to the police. I was outside sitting in the back of a ambulance, with a man who was cheacking my face. I pulled away and ran to my mother. "Mom!" i say. "Everythings going to be okay baby, shh, shh." i look around and gasp when I see my father trying to beat down the police car door with is shoulder. "Shae,..Shae. I love you princess" That was the last time I saw my father.
