Nahi ho pa raha, Khushi. He cried like a baby, making Khushi close her eyes in pain. (I am unable to do it, Khushi)

She brought her hands forwards and gently placed one on his head and other on his shoulder, bringing him close.

Tu kyn ja rahen hai ap dor?? She asked as she caressed his head. (Then why are you going far?)

He pulled back from the hug and looked at her. She gazed in his red eyes, due to all crying.

Mjhe tumhe kuch btana hai, he sniffed. (I want to tell you something)

Bolen. She ushered him. (say)

But he shook his head, yahan nahi. Mere sath ao gi? (not here. Will you come with me?)

When she didn't replied, he softly said, Bharosa hai mjh pe??, afraid that maybe now she won't trust him. (do you trust me?)

Hamesha. She smiled. (Forever)

She went to Ayan and told him about Arnav. Ayan already wanted her to know his side of story so he nodded his head.

Go and talk to him, guriya. He isn't coping well with his decision of staying away from you. He placed his hand on her head. Leaning towards her, he kissed her forehead.

Just listen to your heart, beta. He said with closed eyes. Khushi nodded her head. I will, dad.

With that, she came back to where Arnav was standing and to his shock, took his hand in hers and dragged him towards the parking.

Where you want to go?? She asked once she was outside. Arnav came back from his thoughts and shook his head.

I will drive. He brought out keys and led her to his car. After some time, they were on their way to his apartment.

Aman came close to NK and Ayan. Good evening, sir. He greeted with smile.

They greeted him back.

Aman, where Arnav took Khushi? He asked.

To his apartment. He replied in a blink.

How are you so sure?? NK asked curiously.

I think that it's time he will reveal what he has been hiding in that envelope all these days. He said with a glint in his eyes.

Envelope?? NK's curiosity was at peak now.

Just wait and watch. I think that they will be reunited by nightfall. He smiled, making NK and Ayan sigh at his confidence. For now, they could only pray.

Naina grabbed NK's hand, scared of what would happen.

Everything will be okay. NK assured her, side hugging her. She nodded her head nervously.

Arnav opened the door and held it for Khushi as she entered the apartment. It was evening now so the whole apartment was darkened.

Arnav switched on the light making the room illuminate. Come, he gestured towards the couch.

Khushi sat on the couch and Arnav settled beside her, leaving gap between them. Khushi looked at him and then at the place between them.

Itni dori kyn hai hamare darmiyaan? She couldn't help but think sadly. (why there is so much distance between us?)

Arnavji, she called when Arnav still didn't say anything.

Khushi meine tmhe nahi chora tha. He said in a low voice. His head bowed with eyes fixed on the floor. (Khushi, I didn't left you)

Bachpan mein, Ma kay jaane k baad, Anjali Di ne hi mjhe sambhala tha. He was lost in those days while Khushi sat there listening to him silently. (In childhood, Di took care of me after Ma died)

Mein tab jo kuch bhi tha, sirf un ki wajah se tha. Un ko apne hath pe churi rkhte dekh kr mein dar gaya tha. He fisted his palm which didn't get unnoticed by Khushi. (whatever I was then, it was because of her. When I saw her placing knife on her wrist, I was scared)

Mjhe laga k main Ma k sath apni Ma jesi Di ko bhi kho don ga. His voice quivered. (I thought that I after losing my Mama, I will lose my mother like sister too)

I promise Khushi, meine wo sub sirf Di k hath se Churi lene k liye kaha tha. He turned towards her. His eyes filled with tears. (I promise Khushi, I said all that just to take knife from her hand)

Mein tmhe kabhi na chorta, Khushi. Mein tumhe kabhi chor hi nahi skta. He held her hands as tears fell upon his cheeks. (I wouldn't have left you ever, Khushi. I can't left you ever, Khushi)

Her eyes were silently shedding tears too. Tum tu meri dhadkan ho Khushi, tmhe kese chor skta tha mein? He questioned her. (You are my heartbeat, Khushi, how could I left you?)

Kitni baar kaha tmhe k aik baar meri baat sunn lo, sirf aik baar. Lekin tm nahi ruki Khushi. Tm chali gaye, apne Arnavji ko chor kar chali gai tum. He left her hands and stood up from the couch. (I asked so many times to just listen me once. Only once. But you didn't stop. You left. You went leaving your Arnavji)

Khushi pressed her lips suppressing a sob from escaping.

Kehna chahta tha k jo kuch meine us raat kaha wo sirf ghusse mein kaha tha. He continued going towards the French Window. Us ka aik lafz bhi mere dil se nahi nikla tha, I promise Khushi. (I wanted to tell you that whatever I said that night was out of anger) (Not a word if it was directed by my heart, I promise Khushi)

He recalled that night when he called her the biggest mistake of his life.

Batana chahta tha tmhe k aur koi maini nahi rkhta mere liye. Sirf tmhari parwaa hai mjhe. He leaned on the window, keeping his hand on it. (I wanted to tell you that nobody mattered to me. I only cared for you)

Khushi stood up from the couch. Gulping her tears she took a step near him.

Dikhana chata tha k mein tum se kitna pyaar krta hun. He sniffed and turned towards her. (I wanted to show you how much I loved you)

Tmhe kya lagta hai, koi bhi aye ga aur kahe ga k mein tmhe chor don, tu mein tmhe waqi mein chor don ga?? He chuckled. (what do you think, that anyone would come and ask me to leave you, I would leave you just like that?)

Koi kisi ko kahe k tum mar jao tu agla banda apna gala thori na dabata hai. He reasoned, making Khushi too chuckle. (if someone say other person to die, that person doesn't strangle his own neck)

Tu ab bolen na Arnavji. She came near him and placed hand on his upper arm. (then say now, na Arnavji)

Ab btayen na k ap mjhse kitna pyaar krte hain. Arnav looked in her eyes, which was asking silently for assurance. (Now tell me how much you love me)

Ab btayen k kitni parwa karte hain ap meri. She took a step more close to him. (Now tell me how much you care for me)

Her voice was not more than a whisper now. The air stilled and so the breathing of Arnav. Everything was just listening her.

Kya kehna chahte the ap us din?? Aj wo sub keh den Arnavji. Hamein apne pyaar ka ehsaas dila den. Khushi leaned and kept her forehead on his. Their breath mingled and both closed their eyes, overwhelmed with their proximity. (what you wanted to say that day?? Say it all today Arnavji. Make me feel your love, Arnavji)

Arnav stretched his hand and picked an envelope from the table beside him.

Open this. He whispered getting away from Khushi.

Confused, Khushi held the envelope. Before she could ask anything, Arnav turned and entered the terrace, sliding the French Window.

Frowning, Khushi untapped the envelope and brought out the paper. It was looking like legal papers.

As she read the content, her eyes widened. Her mouth agape. Her lower lip quivered as she was unable to form any word.

To confirm the papers, she looked at the date on the side corner of the paper.

"The same date she left Shantivan"

Papers slipped from her hand. The envelope too fell from her hands and she heard a clung as it stuck the floor.

Kneeling, she turned out the envelope and out came a set of keys and a ring. Tears were cascading down her cheeks at the faster pace now. She picked up the ring in her hand.

It was a beautiful solitaire ring. The diamond sparkled in the light. Getting up, Khushi looked at the distant figure of Arnav standing at the end of terrace.

His back was facing her. Khushi wiped the tears off her face and crying, ran towards Arnav.

Hearing footsteps behind, Arnav turned. Before he could understand, Khushi ran in his arms.

Her head placed on his broad chest, while her hands grasped his shirt at the back. Arnav was startled for a second.

Khushi tightened her hold on his back, pushing herself more close to him.

Why didn't you tell me before?? She complained still holding him close. As for Arnav, he was lost in her touch. She was hugging him after so long.

Last time it was the night he returned Shantivan after escaping the goons. After that, it was today when Khushi was voluntarily hugging him.

He brought his hand behind her and hugged her back. Khushi sighed and cried with relief and his touch. She missed this.

She missed his hold.

She missed his touch.

She missed his fragrance.

She missed her Arnavji.

And finally she found him.

She was with him.

Arnav nuzzled his head in the crook of her neck. He took a deep breath inhaling her jasmine scent. He missed this.

He missed her hold.

He missed her touch.

He missed her fragrance.

He missed his Khushi.

And finally he found her.

He was with her.

After some time of standing there in the hug, Khushi soflty pulled back and looked at him, still holding him close. Not wanting to leave him.

When you did that? She asked.

Arnav smiled. When we returned after escaping from the goons. He said softly looking in her eyes.

Then why didn't you tell me?? She slide her hands and brought them on his chest. Right on his heart.

I wanted to surprise you after the paper work finishes. He bit his tongue.

But why you did that? She still asked although she knew the answer.

He led her inside, and made her sit on couch. Sitting beside her, he wiped her tears, gently cupping her cheeks. He gulped his own tears as he saw Khushi lean on his touch.

When Di didn't believe us the first day, I knew that she will be hard to handle later too. He spoke after some time.

Nani and Mami loved me too, but when it comes to Anjali, their love was more for her, everytime. He lowered his eyes.

I knew that eventually they will blame you for destroying Anjali's life. They will curse you for the failure of her marriage. His vein throbbed as he again lived through those moments.

That was when I realized that I needed to protect you. He looked at her. I had almost lost you once, I couldn't risk your health again. He caressed his thumb on her cheek.

So I bought this house. It was small, not as big as Shantivan. But it was perfect for both of us. He pulled back his hand.

I named it as "Khushi Villa" hoping that it would be filled with our happiness. With my happiness. My Khushi. He smiled making Khushi smile too. But it never happened.

The papers reached the same day you left me. I was trying to tell you about this on that unfortunate day. But everything crumbled before my eyes and I was unable to do anything regarding it. He tore away his eyes.

I felt so helpless Khushi. Tmhe jata dekh raha tha, lekin tmhe rokne k liye kuch bhi na kr saka mein. (I was watching you leave, but I couldn't do anything to stop you)

Mein haar gaya, Khushi. Arnav Singh Raizada haar gaya. Arnav cried, his eyes were now stinging with all the crying. (I failed Khushi. Arnav Singh Raizada failed)

Mjhe ab chor kr mat jana, Khushi. Jee nahi paon ga tumhare bina. He hugged her, hiding himself in her. (Don't leave me now, Khushi. I won't be able to live without you)

Mein mar jaon ga, Khushi. He whispered broken. (I will die Khushi)

Sssshhhh. She brought him close, her heart clenched hearing his words.

Kabhi nahi. She assured him. (Never ever)

Pulling back, she wiped his tears. Bss Arnavji. Buhat seh liya hum dono ne. Buhat ro liya hun dono ne. She kissed him just below his eyes, sucking away the tears. (Enough Arnavji. We both bore a lot. We both cried a lot)

Buhat bardasht kr li humne doriyan, ab aur nahi. She leaned and kissed his other eye, while Arnav just sat there, mesmerized by her actions. (we both tolerated this distance enough. Now no more)

Ab hamein koi juda nahi kar skta, Arnavji. She promised him. (Now, no one will be able to separate us, Arnavji.)

Arnav aur Khushi hamesha sath rahenge. She cupped his face and looked deep in his eyes. (Arnav and Khushi will be together forever)

Hamesha? He asked still in doubt that Khushi finally forgave him. (forever?)

Instead of answering, Khushi held his hand and placed the ring on it.

Apni Khushi ko phir se apna bana len, Arnavji. She whispered, her heart racing. (Make your Khushi yours again, Arnavji)

Arnav nodded his head, and taking the ring, slid it in her ring finger. Khushi smiled as it was the perfect fit.

Arnav brought her hand to his lips and kissed her knuckles.

I love you Khushi. He said, making Khushi still.

Last time she heard these words over the phone, which made her realize that he was in danger. But now, when he finally said these words, she felt like she won the whole world.

Which was true too in a sense that Arnav was her world and she has won him now.

Forever.

Overwhelmed, she crashed his chest making him lay back on his back. Still in the hug, she whispered,

I love you too, Arnavji. I love you soo much. Her happiness knew no bounds.

Arnav brought her close to himself, as she layed comfortably on his chest, clutching him.

Khuda ne sirf mjhe tumhare liye likha hai, Arnav. Khushi whispered on his chest. Arnav smiled, burying his head in her hairs. (God has written only me for you, Arnav)

Kyunke meri har dua mein yehi tha Khushi. Tu Likh De Mera Usse, Aye Khuda. He whispered back, tightening his hold on her as she nuzzled his neck with happiness. (Because it was there in all my prayers. Write her as mine, O God)

He placed his lips on her forehead, kissing her there.

That moment, Arnav and Khushi felt completed.

Their world became one.

Their souls became one.

They became one.
