Placing a hand on Stampy's shoulder, Ballistic didn't even know where to start. They had returned back to his base hours ago, the anesthetics given to him were finally kicking him and making him sleep. Ballistic sucked in a breath when he noticed yet another bruise, feeling anger and guilt build in his chest. He shouldn't have let Stampy out of his sights when they visited the city, he knew there were too many Sky soldiers around to not worry as he should have.
Rolling up his sleeves, he pulled the medical kit closer, opening it with a soft pop. Ballistic saw Stampy's ear twitch, flinching when noticing half of the ear was missing. He couldn't imagine what the soldiers did, and worse yet Sky didn't even know.
"I got you," Ballistic whispered, threading a needle and looking over a gash on Stampy's arm, "You're safe now."
Stitching up the gashes were easier than expected, besides the once in a while twitch or whine from Stampy. Ballistic moved onto checking his ear, seeing that it was healed over with a scab. He nodded and moved to Stampy's tail, earlier seeing that it was shorter than he remembered. The tail was not about half it's original length, it was jagged at the end but already had fur growing to hide it. Seeing no more damage that needed help, Ballistic packed up the case and moved it aside, choosing to lay down next to Stampy.
