'Williams' daughter still missing'
Or, so they think.
Seven years ago, there was a war between two gangs. One gang was trying to help the city, the other was trying to rule the city, and the people in the city.
My father, unfortunately, died during the fight, while my mother and my older brother were on vacation on the opposite side of the country, unaware of what was happening.
My Uncle took care of me for the seven years I was away from my home in California.
*Flashback*
"Daddy, no!" I said, rushing over to where my dad was against a wall, slowly sliding down to the ground.
"Annika, you need to run! Run and keep running, don't look back!" My father said, struggling to breathe.
"I won't leave you, Dad!"
He looked at me with pleading eyes and back at the Spanish man who shot him.
Tears spilled from my eyes and rolled down my cheeks.
"No..."
I sniffed.
I looked back at the man who had his gun pointed at my father.
He slowly dropped it to his side, made a swift move of his hand, and all of his men lowered their weapons.
"Annika!"
My father screamed as he used the rest of his strength to push me to the side as the Spanish man fired his gun at me.
I looked at the man who fired yet again at me and missed.
A warning shot.
I got up and ran out of the warehouse door.
"Get the girl!"
I heard.
I didn't dare look back.
----
It was fifteen minutes before I stopped running at the train crossing.
'Train!'
My brain said - though it sounded more like my father - as I ran towards the carts. I quickly jumped into one of them and hid behind a crate.
Footsteps kicked the rocks around the tracks and I heard people shouting.
"Check the carts!"
A chill went down my spine thinking about what would happen if they would find me.
Out of instinct, I started to walk backward, further into the cart.
I was sure that they could hear my heart pounding.
The door opened in the cart that I was hiding in.
"No one's here! Keep moving!"
I heard footsteps that faded into the night, and I walked over to the edge of the train cart and pulled the door open a bit further.
No one was there.
I jumped out, took one look in the opposite direction and started running when I ran into a solid figure.
"No!" I screamed.
The last thing I remember was Chance - The man that shot my Father - standing there with his gun in his right hand, staring at me as I passed out and fell to the ground.
