"Who's Shawn?"
I heard the honking outside my bedroom window, meaning Harry and Lisa had arrived. I hopped off my unmade bed and ran outside, almost tripping on the stairs.
"Bye Elle" I heard my sister yell from her room. I waved her goodbye and hopped in the back seat of Harry's car.
"Good morning Elle" Harry chirped. "Good morning jackass" I replied winking at him. "Hi to you too" he retorted. Lisa gave us a confused look but soon shrugged and resumed texting on her phone.
"Daniel is hosting a party tonight. We should all go" Lisa said turning around to face me.
I agreed as I didn't have anything else better to do.
"You should ask Shawn to come. The game is still on" Lisa said getting all excited.
"Who's Shawn?" Harry asked confused.
"Some guy Lisa chose for me" I replied rolling my eyes.
"Wait, are you doing the same thing that you did to me?" He asked shocked. We both nodded.
He stopped the car immediately. "That game is mean. You should drop it" Harry said.
"Chill Har. I'm just trying to help Elle to get a boy" Lisa said as Harry continued to drive again.
"Harry is right Lisa. It's pointless. The dude would probably reject me anyways. He seems like a loner to be honest" I said.
"Please, do it for me" Lisa whined. I huffed. "Fine" I said.
This isn't going to end well.....

The second bell rang and it was time for Spanish class. Spanish was one of the few subjects I was quite good at. My mother was Spanish so she used to teach me some words before she passed away...
I stepped into the classroom and sat at my seat. Soon the guy Shawn walked into the class and sat in front of me. The poor guy was shaking.
Was it that cold outside?
I tore a piece of paper from my notebook and scribbled down on it.
There's a party tonight at Dan's. Want to accompany me sênor?

I folded the paper and tapped Shawn's shoulder. As soon as he turned around, I handed him the paper. I noticed him reading but he never replied to me. Guess I was right. The boy wouldn't accept...

Spanish class ended. I grabbed my stuff and walked out of class, until I heard someone call out for me. I turned around and was faced against Shawn.
"Hi?" I said confused. He handed me the paper I gave him during the lesson.
"I think you gave it to the wrong person." He said while scratching his neck. I cuckled softly.
"No it was meant for you" I said smiling.
Smiling? What?
"Oh" he replied blushing.
"I'm Elle" I said. "Shawn" he replied.
"So Shawn, will you come with me to the party?" I asked. This time. I wasn't going to take no for an answer.
"I'm not really the party type of guy" he replied.
"There's always a time for change right? Pick me up tonight at 8 sharp. On the back of the paper there's my phone number. Text me yours so I can send you my address" I said as I walked away.
