Annabeth left us alone. I couldn't help but feel comfortable around Leo. His bad attempts at jokes reminded me of my mother. She always tried to brighten up even the dullest of moods. I stayed in the workshop even after everyone had left. I watched Leo as he worked. He was like a machine himself. I already assumed that he was a son of Hephaestus. I could tell by the way he worked. I heard him chuckle, breaking my trance like state.
"What?" I asked.
"Like what you see?" He grinned. I noticed that I was staring at him and blushed.
"You're worse than Nico" I told him.
"Nico talks to you?!" he asked me.
"Yeah" I answered.
"Wow, its hard enough to get him to say hello let alone having a conversation with him" he told me. I laughed.
"I wish he would stay silent"
"No, usually he has some good stuff to say"
I coughed. "Not for me"
"Uh, okay. Well I guess we better head down to the bonfire" he said.
"Bonfire?" I asked him.
Leo looked at me puzzled. "No one told you?"
"No"
"Oh, well come with me. I'll show you"
I shook my head. "No thanks, I'm really tired. I might go to bed" I said.
"Here let me show you your cabin" he said. I agreed and followed him out of the workshop. We walked and talked until Leo abruptly stopped.
"Nico, you’ve been around me too long. I know when you're following me" he said. I turned around but no one was there.
"Who are you talking to?" I asked him. I watched him shudder.
"Never mind". That ended that conversation. We walked up to a really big cabin. "This is yours" he said. I just stood there, admiring the structure of this fine cabin.
"Why don't the other cabins have this?" I asked him. He shrugged.
"Beats me"
I walked in and heard Leo call out.
"What?"
"If you do want to come down just look for the fire" he said. I laughed and nodded my head. It's too bad I'm leaving, I thought. I walked into the 'cabin' and eventually found a bed. I flopped down and eventually fell asleep. Thinking about my escape plan.
💕💕
I woke up the next morning to someone shaking me awake. I jumped up and screamed. My wonderful escape plan turned into a horrid nightmare I'd rather not talk about. I looked at my surroundings as any criminal would. I was still here. Damn. I looked at the person whom had shaken me awake. It was Leo. I groaned and fell back into bed.
"Afternoon" he said. I got up to fast and hit my head on the top bunk. I groaned again and heard Leo chuckle. "Jokes" I turned to face him and I hoped my death stare was evil.
"Not very intimidating at the moment Alyssa" he snorted. I moved my hand up to my hair and laughed. It felt like a bird's nest. Another con to having long hair. Horrible bed hair.
"Nico went looking for you but couldn't find you so he went looking, I found him, he told me he couldn't find you and I found you" he said.
"Great life story" I mumbled.
"Oh, you don't know half of it"
"Ok" I muttered, falling back to sleep.
"No, no, no. You have training"
"Training? Argh" I got out of bed and I heard Leo stutter.
"I-I uh, you're not exactly in jeans and a shirt Alyssa" he said. I ran to the mirror and gasped. Then I laughed.
"God Leo, you scared me" I told him.
"Can you please get dressed" he asked.
"I am"
"Not"
"Am". I was wearing a black crop top and my bummers which were the same size as shorts.
"Just do it" he said, covering his eyes.
"Such as boy"
"You wouldn't have it any other way" he called out.
"Looking good" I heard a voice from behind me. I screamed. I heard Leo run towards the door.
"You ok?" he asked.
"She's fine Leo, head back" Nico told him. I am so infuriated by this guy.
"Who are you?" he asked.
"A friend Leo don't worry" I told him. I waited until his footstep disappeared and pushed Nico into the wall.
"What-the-hell" I told him. He looked surprised that I got him that fast. I smiled.
"Well, nice to see you too" he said. I shrugged.
"Get out"
"No"
"I'll scream"
"OK, leaving" he said. "And by the way-" he paused "- you look hot"
"Argh" I yelled before shutting the door and getting ready for this so called training.
