"So we gotta assume they're coming back right?" Rhodey asked as they all stood, gathered around one of the high teck conference rooms discussing the recent alien threats.
"And they can clearly find us." Wanda pointed out from where she stood beside Pietro.
"We need all hands on deck, where's Clint?" Bruce wondered as he turned to Nat.
"After the whole accords situation he and Scott took a... deal, was too tough on their families, they're on house arrest." Nat informed.
"Yeah, last time we saw him was a stop-by visit, same with Scott." Carter added in her two sense from where she sat cross legged on the table.
"That must have been a year ago." Pietro nodded.
"Who's Scott?" Bruce wondered as he looked around in utter confusion.
"Ant-man." Steve told him.
"There's an Ant-man and a Spider-man?" Bruce furrowed his brows in question as Rhodey nodded "Alright look, Thanos has the biggest army in the universe." He stressed "And he is not gonna stop until he," He paused "he gets Vision's stone."
"Then we have to protect it." Nat interjected instantly.
"Of course." Carter nodded.
"No," Vision finally spoke from where he was leant against one of the glass windows "We have to destroy it." He said causing everyone to stop and look at him "I've been giving a good deal of thought to this entity in my head about its... nature, but also its composition." He looked towards Wanda sorrowfully as Carter watched on, having a feeling she knew what came next "If it were exposed to a sufficiently powerful energy source, something very similar to it's own signature perhaps." Vision stated as he stood before Wanda "Its molecular integrity could fail."
"And you with it." Wanda breathed as she stared into Visions eyes "We'fe not having this conversation." She objected.
"You must know this is the only way to be certain Thanos cannot get it." Vision whispered, though the silence in the room meant everyone heard.
"That's too high a price." Wanda pointed out as Carter met Pietro's eyes, knowing if this was them she would say the exact same thing.
"Only you have the power to pay it." Vision told her as he cupped his hands around her face slowly, only for Wanda to walk away and turn her back "Thanos threatens half the universe, one life cannot stand in the way of defeating him."
"But it should." Steve sighed "We don't trade lives Vision." He told him directly as the others nodded along.
"Captain Seventy years ago you laid your life to save how many millions of people, tell me, why is this any different." Vision began as they stood face to face with one another.
"Because, you might have a choice. Your mind is made off of a complex collective overlay of charges, Ultron, Tony, Me, the stone." Carter winced at the sound of her father's name "All of them mixed together, all of them learning from one another." Bruce pointed out.
"Your saying Vision isn't just the stone?" Wanda hoped as Carter stood with the others and layed her head on Rhodes's shoulder.
"I'm saying that, if we take out the stone, there's still a whole lotta Vision left, per-perhaps the best parts." Bruce pointed out.
"The human parts." Carter put in as she realised what Bruce was saying.
"Can we do that?" Pietro asked worriedly.
"Not me, to here." Bruce shook his head sadly.
"Well you better find someone and somewhere fast, Ross isn't just gonna let you guys have your old rules back." Rhodes pointed out glumly.
"To hell with him." Carter scoffed causing the older man to reprimand her quietly.
"I know somewhere." Steve pipped up causing them all to turn to him.
"Ah, no man." Sam huffed as he rested his head in his hands.
"Where?" Bruce asked.
"Wakanda." Steve stated simply.

Not long after that the team of heroes clambered aboard one of the jets and began their journey to the hidden African country.
It took, understandably, hours to get there, but much less than it would have taken on an average plane.
As they flew over Wakanda, Carter stood beside one of the windows, resting her head beside the open glass as she admired the beautiful scenery.
"Maybe we should have come here." A voice whispered smoothly as a pair of arms wrapped around Carter's waist and pulled her against a solid chest.
"Hm, I'm sure T'challa would've appreciated that after the last time we saw him." Carter huffed out in amusement causing Pietro to chuckle.
"C'mon, we're landing." Pietro whispered as the two walked towards the jets entrance alongside the others, keeping ahold of each others hand as they went.
"Should we bow?" Carter heard Bruce ask causing her to snort.
"Yeah, he's the king." Rhodey joked causing Carter to purse her lips and stifle her laughter alongside Pietro.
"It seems like I'm always thanking you for something." Steve greeted with a hand shake as he and Nat stood in front of T'challa and his guard of women.
"I like this place already." Carter smirked before giving a small wave to the guard, a couple nodding in acknowledgement.
Bruce, being as oblivious as always, cleared his throat and bowed down causing Carter to burst out laughing.
"What are you doing." Rhodey hissed as he slapped Bruce in the arm.
"We don't do that here." T'challa offered kindly as he nodded fo Bruce causing the older scientist to glare at a grinning Rhodey.
"T'chay." Carter mockingly saluted the prince causing him to purse his lips.
"So how big of an assault should we be expect?" T'challa questioned as the group began moving towards the grand castle, as Carter was calling it in her head.
"Uh, uh Sir, I think you should expect quite a big assault." Bruce awkwardly spoke causing Carter to grin.
"How we looking?" Nat asked T'challa.
"Well I'm looking hot, I don't know about you guys but..." Carter trailed off as the others turned to look at her and she gave an inoccent grin.
"You will have my Kings guard, the borda tribe, amaroge and - " T'challa stopped as he motioned to the man turning the corner causing Carter to squeal.
"A somewhat stable hundred year old man." Bucky grinned as Carter all but threw herself into his arms "Hey." Bucky chuckled as he kissed the crown of her head before embracing Steve.
"How you been Buck?" Steve asked with a wide smile.
"Ah not bad, for the end of the world." He joked causing them all to chuckle.
"Well then, shall we." T'challa motioned with his hand towards the castle before they all followed his lead and made their way inside calmly.
"So how was Cryo?" Carter asked Bucky causing him to laugh.
"Great, a little chilly." He shook his head in amusement.
"Ah well, we all expected that huh?" She joked before skipping off ahead of everyone.
"Please do not break anything!" T'challa called after her.
"No promises!" Carter called back followed by a smash as she popped her head around the corner "I swear that was an accident." She awkwardly smiled as T'challa groaned in annoyance.
