You awoke to the soft tapping of the rain hitting your window. You smiled softly. You loved everything about the rain. The scent was one of your favorite things and you personally loved the color of the sky when it rained.
Thunderstorms and summer showers were your favorites. Not only did they mean you could stay inside and relax all day, but it also meant you could stay inside and relax all day with Heather. You smiled at the thought.
That reminded you, there was a suspicious absence of the familiar warmth at your side. You furrowed your eyebrows and turned to see her spot empty.
When you felt the sheet where she was supposed to be it was ice cold. She had been gone for a while. You got up and stretched.
You two had only moved in together a few months ago and you hated when she got up before you. You trudged to the living room where you were almost certain she was.
As you approached you could hear the sound of the TV playing. Your sleep filled eyes could only just make out the top of Heather's head as you got closer.
You walked behind her, silent as a phantom. You leaned down and planted a kiss on her neck.
"HOLY FUCK!" Heather screamed as she jumped about 10 feet in the air. You couldn't stop the laugh that bubbled up inside you.
"WHAT THE FUCK Y/N." She said as she glared daggers at you. "Oh, I'm sorry darlin'. I couldn't help myself." You manage to say through your laughter. She shook her head and turned away from you with a huff.
A smirk spread across your lips. "That's what you get for leaving me all alone, " you plant a kiss right where her neck and shoulder meet, "in that big ol' bed." You felt her relax under you making your smirk widen.
"Come back to bed." You said trailing kisses along her neck. You were met with silence. "please?" You say sickeningly sweetly.
After a moment she gave in and stood up. "Fine." She said with reluctance in her voice. You could tell it was fake. You took her hand and lead her to the bedroom after turning off the TV.
Once into the room, you let yourself fall back onto the bed pulling her with you. She curled up in your side and you placed your arm around her waist.
Your eyes slid shut and you let out a contented sigh. "Much better." You mumbled as you let the soft pitter patter of the rain lull you back to sleep.
A/N: Dang this one is short.
