Hailey's POV:
It's been a week since I broke up with Hayes. I moved back in with my parents and Hayes stayed at the apartment. Thank god.
It's been weird without Hayes always by my side, but I guess we weren't meant to be.
I woke up to the sound of my phone going off. It was a text from Daniel.
Daniel: u coming to practice? your late if you are :p
I looked at the time.
"SHIT." I said. Why am I always late?
I quickly got dressed, grabbed my gear and ran down the stairs only to find my mom making breakfast.
"Hi honey would you like-" I ran out of house just before I could hear the rest.
I jumped into my car and drove off.
When I arrived the coach made me do 50 push-ups for being late. Yay me. But the rest of practice was a blur.
Afterwards I walked to my car but I was stopped by Daniel.
" Hey. Would you maybe want to come with me to the boardwalk later?" He said.
I felt my face turn red. Was he asking me out?
He must of realized what I was thinking.
"No! No! Not like that, just as friends. So?" He said also turning red.
"Yes. I would love too." I said.

I heard the doorbell ring. I looked at my outfit one more time before going to get it.
I opened the door. It was Daniel. I have to admit he looked hot.
"Ready?" He said snapping me out of my thoughts.
"Yeah." I said.
On the way to the boardwalk Daniel put on the radio in the car. She looks so perfect by 5 seconds of summer came on. I just had too sing.
" SHE LOOKS SO PERFECT STANDING THERE IN MY AMERICAN APPAREL UNDERWEAR." I sang loud.
"AND I KNOW NOW THAT IM SO DOWN" Daniel sang.
We laughed and before you know it we were there.
When we got there we went to the water shooter game.
Me against him.
He won by a little and gave me the pink bear.
"Daniel you don't have to give it to me." I said.
"I want you to keep it." He said.
"Okay." I said
We played a few other games and got snow cones. When we ate the snow cones, some random guy came up behind Daniel and smashed it in His face. I laughed so hard that I almost peed my pants. So we had to go home because he needed to change.
He got to my house and walked me up to my door.
" I had fun today. But don't forget your bear." He said.
"Me too and yeah I won't." I said smiling.
He brought me into a hug. He smelled nice. Am I developing feelings for him?
We said goodbye and I went into my house and took a warm shower. And let me tell you it felt really good after a long day.
After my shower I got my pjs on and watched Mean Girls on Netflix until I fell asleep.
