Rebecca/Belle POV
William has been busy for the past few days finding out who was the rat in the pack. There were times when I wanted to help him, but he says that he wants me out of this so that I won't stress myself out.
However, the more free time I have, the more anxious I get. So, I spent my time catching up with my family and honestly speaking, I really miss them a lot even though they did some unforgivable things in the past.
Jake and Michael shared with me that after I left the pack, mom would often isolate herself in her room refusing to go out because she was worried about me. She blamed herself for not taking care of me and it became worse when she saw Diane being killed by the rogues.
I was so engrossed in my own thoughts that I did not notice Rose was standing at the door. She was holding onto my favourite cup that she had bought me during Christmas.
She smiled and handed over the drink to me. "Drink this up, it helps to brighten your day."
I took the cup in her hand and sipped it. "Thank you. So, what brings you here? Aren't you supposed to help your brother to find out who the rat is?"
"He wanted me to check up on you and spend some time with you since you have been begging for someone to accompany you since William has ordered you to stay at home all day."
I laughed and said, "Thanks! It's been a long time since we spent our own time together. Things have been crazy around, right?"
She frowned and commented. "Yah, but don't dwell on it. You have to take good care of your health first then worry about these things later, okay?"
I nod my head in response. "Wanna go to the movie room to watch a movie and get some popcorn?"
She squeaks excitedly. "Yes! Let's go, sis! What show do you wanna watch?"
"Let's watch Avengers: the endgame! I can't wait to see what happened. My brothers have been spoiling the movie to me and it is so fucking annoying."
Rose laughed. "Seems like you are close to your family now."
I smiled. "Yeah. Let's not talk about this now, we are supposed to head down to the movie theatre to watch a movie."
Rose linked her hands around my arm as we walked down to the movie room. Before we enter the room, we heard someone inside the movie theatre mumbling something. However, we could not see who that person was as the person was facing his back.
His voice was so familiar to me, but I could not remember who the voice belonged to since he was whispering softly. Rose and I decided to listen to his conversation with the person on the phone.
The person said, "Sir, she hasn't been going to work. How am I going to get her out of here secretly? The security in the pack house has heightened ever since we have been receiving threatening message from you."
Ahhh so he was the rat after all. But who is he?
"Okay. Just please don't hurt my sister. Once I get her tomorrow, I want my sister back safely and I want 2 million dollar too so that I can escape with my sister. Is that a deal?"
"Good. I will distract them and once your wolves are here. I am going to sneak them in and you can kill the pack while I bring Rebecca to you."
When I heard that, I was shocked and so was Rose. I mind link William, telling him that we found the rat and we are in the movie theatre. I mind link Rose telling her when once the rat hangs up the phone, we will attack him.
Rose nodded her head in response.
Once we heard him saying goodbye and putting his phone back into his pocket, we attacked him using our wolf speed. I use my strength and punch on his chest while Rose punched his face. When we looked at who this person was, we were shocked. The person was actually who we did not expect to be.
It was actually my driver, Romeo.
I grabbed his shirt collar and shouted at him. "Are you the rat? ANSWER ME!"
His face went pale as he never sees me getting so angry before. He put up his hand in defense. "I can explain. Please listen to me. I did not meant to hurt you, Rebecca."
Just in time, William, Ryan and some guards came storming into the room. He was also shocked as Romeo has been serving in his pack for ten years.
Anger boiled in me and I put my hand around his neck, "Who is the mastermind behind all these threats? And what do you do tomorrow on the phone just now?"
He stuttered in fear. "It.....it....is Matt, the twin brother of the one who used to kidnap you and the one that Alpha William killed."
When I heard that, I released the grip on his neck and I stumbled backwards. Rose held me in her arms and patted my back, comforting me.
William was breathing hard as he gasped for air.
"How could you betray your pack? We trusted you all these years!" Rose asked
He kneels in front of William and says, "I have no choice. They have my sister captured in their territory and they threaten my sister's life if I do not give him information on Rebecca."
"How did they get your sister?" William said.
There were tears rolling down from his cheeks. "Her mate happens to be the beta of Matt and they found her while she was hanging out in the mall."
I stepped in front of him. "Then, why does he want me?"
He looked at me. "He wanted you because he wanted to get back at you and William for killing his brother. You were William's weakness. So, if he caught you, William would grow weak and he will be able to destroy the pack. At first, he planned to use your sister, Diane, as a bait to get to you by inviting you to visit his pack and then keep you. After doing so, he will kill your sister and mark you instead. But because your sister was already with Alpha Blake and refused to go to his pack. So, he has no choice but to plan to fake her death in making Alpha Blake believed that she is dead."
There was so much information that I needed to process. Even though my sister did hurt me, she was still my sister who I had grown up with.
"So where is she now?" Blake asked as he walks inside the room.
"I swear I am not sure where she is. I think she is with him now."
William launched himself at Romeo and punched him on his face. There was blood all around his face. Rose walks to him to grab his hair. "You haven't answered Rebecca's question. What do you mean by tomorrow on the phone with him?"
The next thing that he says, caught us off guard. Because we are not sure whether we have enough time to fight back.
Matt POV
I look outside of my window, looking at my ex-mate who was drunk. I could not fucking believe that she was mate because she was so damn useless and ugly.
I mind link my beta. "Kill that fucking ex-mate of mine when no one is around her. She is no use to me anymore, she has done her part for me."
His mind links me. "Yes, Alpha."
I'm so fucking glad that I reject that bitch because she is such a whore. I wonder how Alpha Blake even liked her in the first place. Anyway, I'm coming straight for Rebecca after I kill that boyfriend of hers and his pack.
