/ Diana's pov /
I was extremely confused when Kaiden said I was in heat. Sure I had heard of it but do I know what it was. Nope.
A strange feeling spread trough me which made me want to touch Kaiden so badly. I looked at Kaiden and a shiver ran down my spine. I wanted to jump him so badly.
Diana what the hell are you thinking?!
I felt like I was myself but also didn't. It was all so confusing.
"Kaiden I want to touch you so badly" I said and let out a moan. Kaiden choked on air as I said it. My hand went on his thigh and moved up and down.
"You don't wanna touch me?" I asked innocently. What is going on with me?
I was snapped back to reality and pulled my hand back.
"Kaiden I don't understand what is going on? Why do I feel like this?" I asked confused and frustrated. Kaiden sighed.
"werewolves have cycles of heat, in which they have a strong desire to mate. Female werewolves get this a month after they have been marked by their Mate but haven't mated yet. The desire they feel is only towards their mate, but unmated male wolfs are also affected by it. That's why we couldn't stay at the beach. All the wolfs in my pack will be swooning all over you" he explained.
"So I'm basically being sexually influenced so I will mate with you" I said and Kaiden chuckled.
"Yes you are , but that doesn't mean we HAVE to. I will wait until you are ready and honestly I'm just as nervous about it because it will be my first time too" Kaiden explained causing me to blush a little.
"You waited for me?" I asked with rose tinted cheeks. Kaiden smiled at me and nodded. He grabbed my hand and planted a kiss on the top of it. a hot sensation flowed trough me again and I moaned. I felt Kaiden tense and he let go of my hand quickly. Causing me to let out a whine.
"I'm sorry sweetheart. It's not that I don't wanna touch you, because believe me I do, but I don't know if I would be able to control myself. I'm even more affected by your heat then unmated wolfs because I'm your mate" he explained and I nodded. I let out a sigh.
"How long does this take?" I asked.
"Depends, for some only 2-3 days and for some a whole week. We'll find out soon enough I guess" he explained again and I groaned.
"I don't wanna feel like this all week!" I said and huffed in annoyance. Kaiden chuckled a bit
"I'll try to help you as much as I can, but I can't do a lot because I will get out of control like I said earlier. The touch of a mate can sooth the pain a little but it won't leave completely because the moon goddess is still trying to get you to mate" he said and I nodded. My hand immediately went to his and it indeed soothed the pain a little but it also gave me a weird sensation trough my body.
"Are you okay with holding hands?" I asked and he nodded with a smile.
"I am, we just can't kiss because I'm very sure that will not end well" he said and I smiled.
Awhile later we were back home and we quickly went inside. I went upstairs to our bedroom and sat on the bed.
"Is it okay if I take a shower?" I asked Kaiden who just entered the room.
"Yeah of course, just make sure to lock the door" he said and I nodded as I understood immediately.
I went inside the bathroom and locked the door. I removed my clothes and took a quick shower. I still can not believe how luxurious this bathroom is. Like the shower is already so amazing. It has so many different options for kind of water and smells and I still have a lot left to discover. This is so much better then my old shower.
I got out of the shower after about 10 minutes and dried my body. I pulled on the cotton sleep shorts and a shirt of Kaiden that I grabbed before entering the bathroom. I brushed my hair until all the knots were removed and walked out of the bathroom. Kaiden was sat on the bed with his hands in his hair , looking frustrated. He looked up when he heard me enter the bedroom. He quickly stood up.
"I'm going to take a cold shower" he said and planted a kiss on my forehead before entering the bathroom and locking it. I smiled and got in bed and under the duvet. I felt a bit better but still not good.
After five minutes in bed Kaiden's phone started ringing. I picked it up from the bedside table and looked at the caller id. It said phoebe so I smiled and picked it up.
"Hey phoebe" I said with a smile.
"Hey girl! How are you?" She asked excitedly.
"Could've been better, I'm in heat" I said and she let out a groan of annoyance.
"I hated being in heat! It was so frustrating and I'm not an easy person at all and I really wanted to wait longer till Morgan and I went for it but I just couldn't. Don't regret it though, Morgan is amazing" She rambled and I giggled.
"It has only just started and I'm already super frustrated! I've never felt like this before. Like I feel so .. so-" me not being able to find the right word phoebe finished my sentence for me.
"Aroused?" She said and I blushed.
"I-I guess... it's weird and it makes me feel uncomfortable" I said and phoebe laughed.
"It's fine honey! I'm sure Kaiden is having a very hard time too" she said with a chuckle.
"He is currently taking a cold shower" i said.
"That says enough" she said and we laughed together.
We talked for awhile until Kaiden came out of the bathroom, dressed in a tight sweatpants and a t-shirt which defined his heavenly muscles. Seeing him gave a weird feeling and a blush crept on my face as I thought back to what phoebe had said.
I handed the phone to Kaiden and he talked with his sister for some time before saying goodnight and ending the phone call.
"I'm hungry" i said as I laid sprawled out over the bed. Kaiden sat besides me and chuckled.
"We literally ate about 2 hours ago" he said.
"I know but this whole heat thing makes me hungry" I said and Kaiden smiled.
"Well I can order some food if you want" he said and I nodded energetically. He ordered Chinese food and we went down to sit in the living room while we waited for the food.
Thankfully, soon they delivered the food and I immediately started eating my orange chicken with noodles that tasted delicious. We sat and watched some tv while eating the food.
When we were finished we went back to our bedroom and laid down in bed. We laid as far away from each other as we possibly could, both not wanting something to happen.
It was hard to fall asleep without Kaiden's comforting arms around me, but I did manage to eventually.
/ few hours later /
I jolted awake with a layer of sweat covering my body. I felt bad, no terrible. I had an immense pain going trough my body and I couldn't help but scream out in pain. Yes I was used to pain from my old pack, but this, this was a whole different type of pain.
Kaiden shot up from his sleeping form on the bed and rushed over to my side. As soon as he smelled my scent he knew this wasn't right.
"Shit shit shit, sweetheart we need to get you to the pack doctor" he said and lifted me up. It eased my pain a bit and I moaned in delight. I pressed my body more against him and again let out a moan. Kaiden let out a groan and set me down in the backseat of the car. He rushed over to the drivers seat and sped off to god knows where.
After a few minutes of fast driving we arrived at a huge mansion. A confused look spread on my face.
"We're at the pack house, I mind liked the doctor to wake him up and he's expecting us in my room in the house" he said and carried me inside as fast as he could. Along with being in immense pain, I started feeling nervous too. I hadn't met the pack yet and I was supposed to be their Luna! I definitely didn't want to meet them under these circumstances.
We arrived at a big room and Kaiden laid me down on the bed. The pack doctor was also here. The room wasn't as big as our room at home but it was still huge.
"Shit, the heat is really getting to her" the doctor said to Kaiden after he did some tests. Thank goddess the doctor wasn't affected by my heat because he was already mated and married to his mate for 18 years.
He took a cold, damp washcloth and placed it on my forehead.
"The best is if you stay away from her for awhile. Have someone, preferably your sister because she is a female and knows her well, stay with her and take care for her till the heat has passed. I'd be better if she will stay here too, we can put some mated guards at the end of the hallway since this one is already closed off for you and your family" the doctor said and Kaiden nodded.
"I'm going to mind link phoebe" he said and stepped out of the room.
"When is this going to be over" I asked the doctor and whines in pain.
"I think this will take some time honey , I'm sorry but I'm trying the best I can. Here are some special painkillers that should help you get some sleep and relieve some pain" he said and handed them to me along with a glass of water. I downed the pill and the glass of water and let myself fall back down on the bed. I let out a sigh of frustration, this is gonna be a long week..
