Sam POV:
Just trying to look good is hard enough. Thinking about what to say to Penny is impossible. Ok I'm heading off to the station. That's where the dance will be held. It's an annual party where the whole Pontypandy is invited. It's 6:30pm. The party starts at 7 but I want to be there a little early to help prepare everything.
No ones POV:
Sam is helping Station Officer Steele with the music. Since he's not the technical type.
"Here you go Sir, all ready for later."
"Thank you so much Sam. Technology these days just give me a headache. Oh I remember the old days. Everything was live and easy....." Steele continued on with his rant. Sam patiently listen to all the nonsense Station Officer Steele had to say. Boy does that man talk.
The dance has just started. It was time for Sam to ask Penny for a dance.
"Hey Penny.......umm my I ask you for this dance?" Sam asked hesitantly.
"Well sure why not?" Penny said. They dance for a few minutes until Sam started.
"Penny there's something I need to tell you." Sam said.
"Go head I'm listening."
"Well I just wanted to tell you that I really like you as a friend. And I wanted to be more then friends, cuz I love you." Sam started to get close to Penny....... embracing her in his arms.
"Oh um I'm just not sur...." That's when Sam gave her a kiss. Penny pushed away. The whole Pontypandy was watching the whole scene unfold.
"Sam!" Penny said. Starting to cry. She ran away from the main room where the party was held. She went to the storage room where they kept all the fire equipment.
Everyone was surprised with Sam's action. They couldn't believe their eyes.
"Sam?" Elvis said, not believing what just happened. Sam's face was red like a tomato.
"I....I'm sorry..." Sam said. He left and went to the lounge. Pontypandy didn't know what to do, but they continued the party. Letting the crew settle the situation.
Sam POV:
The dance just started. Nows my time.
"Hey Penny.......umm my I ask you for this dance." I asked. I'm so worried. What if she says no.
"Well sure why not?" Penny said happily. Good so far. How should I start it?!
"Penny there's something I need to tell you." I said nervously.
"Go head I'm listening." Ok here goes nothing.
"Well I just wanted to tell you that I really like you as a friend. And I wanted to be more then friends, cuz I love you." I leaned into her. Omg what am I doing?!
"Oh um I'm just not sur...."Then it just happened. I kissed her. I don't know what's going through my mind. She looked so uncomfortable. She yelled my name while tears falling down her face. She ran off to who knows where. I never wanted to intentionally hurt her. She was my best friend.
"Sam?" Elvis said quietly but confused on what just happened. I couldn't even believe it myself.
"I....I'm sorry...." I said full of guilt. I left the party. I just wanted to be alone to sort out my thoughts.
"Why would you do that Sam?" Elvis said as he came into the lounge.
"It just happened Elvis. I didn't know what I was doing. I guess I love her more then I thought." Elvis sighed.
"Sam your gonna have to fine a way to sort this mess." A tear fell down my cheek. I'm trying to hold it in.....since I'm the hero next door. Well right now, I'm sure no hero. Hurting my Co-worker emotionally.
"Sam don't worry. Everything will be fine."
Elvis reassured me.
"Yeah I guess."
Penny POV:
I was just getting something to drink when Sam came up to me.
"Hey Penny.......umm my I ask you for this dance." He asked. He looked very shy. I felt bad so I decided to go for it.
"Well sure why not?" I didn't think much of it. We danced to some of my favorite songs. Sam really knows how to dance.
After a while of dancing,
"Penny there's something I need to tell you." He said. I didn't think much of. He probably wanted to tell me something about work.
"Well I just wanted to tell you that I really like you as a friend. And I wanted to be more then friends, cuz I love you." Did he just say that he loves me. What am I supposed to say? No I just want to be friends? That's when he started to get close to me. I felt so uncomfortable. I never had anyone that close to me before. Not even my family because I never had one.
"Oh um I'm just not sur...." OMG did he just?! That's when I felt his lips with mine. I couldn't even finish my sentence.
I yelled his name. Probably the first time I actually yelled at Sam. I felt like an object. He just did what he wanted without my consent. That's when my memories came flashing by. When I was abused when I was younger. I started to cry. I ran away from the scene. I went to my hideout where I stayed to let out my feelings and realize what had just happened.
"Why would Sam do that to me?" I said to myself.
"It wasn't like him to just do something that made someone else uncomfortable. The whole Pontypandy saw and I still have to continue to be a firefighter with him. Just try ignore him that's all" I told myself.
I decided to just go home and start fresh next week. Maybe by that time everyone will forget.
