Far-off treetops cloaked in a silver haze

The pale light of the dawn shining down a forest-like maze

My eyes catch the tell-tale shine of the lingering moon

I smile blissfully, for I know that I shall see you soon

I hear the whispered singing of a nearby stream

The sun rose up and filled everything with its bright beam

Everything changed in hue as if stepping in a dream

I surveyed all round me and drank in their gleam

Then, my eyes caught yours and drowned in the delight they always bring

You held my hand as gently as a brush from an angel's wing

Each sorrow I had vanished as soon as I looked upon your face

My heart sang as you surround me with your sweet embrace

Our eyes as clear as the sparkling waters of the river gushing by

Brimming with happiness, each breath mingling with each sigh

We may have all of time, but I know I'll always want more

Because you touched my heart the way the sea caresses the shore

We'll always remember, those treasured times when we're together

And the fact that from you, I never want to be sober

Forever together, I may be saying in such advance

You and I my love, drunk in a warm rush of romance
