"This is just great" I mumble sarcastically to Jonty who is stuffing his face with food. My stomach rumbles at the sight of his chicken wrap. Stupid diet.
A cheeky grin appears on his face.
" This is freakin California Ellie, you need to chill out".
He's right, if we are going to be living here for the next few years I am going to have to get used to this new crappy life.
Dads so called 'great opportunity' means me and my brother Jonty had to move to California. When I found out I got so upset and went to a hotel for the weekend to chill off. I am still angry at my parents. I mean, I am in grade 11? They could of let me stay until the end of grade 12?!
They also made me leave my best friend Meg and my boyfriend Calum. Calum and I weren't gonna work out anyway. He was too interested in cars and his popularity status to think about me. He used to have a sweet side but that disappeared a while ago. But Meg. I already miss her. We have been Best Friends since middle school and we have be stuck together ever since.
Life sucks sometimes.......
"Ellie.... Ellie!"

"Oh sorry" I murmur in realisation that I zoned out.
In habit I start twirling my messy blonde hair. We have been driving all day, so I have an excuse for my messed up hair.
" We have to go, dad and mum are in the car waiting" Jonty replies.
He stands up pushing his chocolate brown hair to one side and fixing up his plane white top. Yer I know, we look nothing alike. I take after Dad and he takes after Mum.
"Coming" I reply tiredly. I just want to get to this new house and sleep. This is such a typical thing to think but I could seriously just collapse on the floor right this second if it weren't for my frustrating parents. I stand up, fixing up my play suit from Topshop. I adore it more than anything and look after it like it's gold.
I start walking across the food court trying to find Jonty. Where the hell is he?
Wait I think I saw him...
but being the clumsy me I swing my head around too quick and butt heads with something hard.
Crap..
There's definitely gonna be a bruise of some sort.
"Ouch" I shout with apology and anger in my voice.
"Oh god, I am sorry" says a deep voice.
I open my eyes and look up. OMFG! I think heaven has come to visit earth.
In front of me stands a tall muscly boy with light brown hair and dark green eyes. They bore into mine with a mix of apology and amusement. His grin widens when he notices me pretty much starring and drooling over him.
Snap out of it El! You barely know the guy. Don't just stand there.
"Um.. I..I umm..." But Heaven interrupts me. See what I did there??
"I know I've got a great body and all but you are kind of creeping me out" smirks Heaven.
Nice one Ell. Wait what?! Guys who are self centred always turn me off. Why the hot ones??????!!!!!

His eyes scroll slowly from the bottom to the top of my body and finally meet my eyes. He has a smirk on his face. That annoying, but cute face of his....

"I didn't know you had a brother at my school?!" He says as if butter wouldn't melt in him mouth. I quickly evert my eyes from his plump, red lips to look at his top.

He is wearing a tight fitting sports school top with a green logo on it. Cally High... I recognise that name! Oh I know! That's the school Jonty and I are starting at.
With no reply he asks "what's your name?"
I think about not replying but since he is starting so intensely at me I feel the need too.
"Ellie" I say confidently.
"Chace, nice to meet you Ellie and since your brother goes to Cally High I guess I will be seeing on Monday too?" He asks with a look of question in his eyes.
I roll my eyes... What have I got myself into?!
"Yer I guess so.." I reply glancing at him with a smirk on my face.
I am not gonna let this... whatever he is, get me all stressed out and talk like I am quiet and have no confidence. That word just doesn't suit me.
"Ellie" someone shouts from across the food court.
I turn around and find Jonty waving at me to hurry up. He glances at Chace with a disapproving look. He is too jealous for his own good.
" You are one little cutie, wanna give me your number and we can hang out some time?" He asks with a charming smile plastered on his face.
I know these type of guys.
He's HOT but that's all, and I am not letting him know that whatsoever, so I say
" I have to go, it was nice meeting you but I have to go find my brother, you aren't really my type, sorry".
A look of shock crosses his face. I guess he has never really been turned down before. I smirk. Just because your hot doesn't mean you get every girl.
I turn around with a grin stuck on my face and start walking over to Jace. Just before I reach him I turn around and look Chace straight in the eye, and wink. This makes his eyes go even darker but before he does anything I turn back around.
This is gonna be one hell of a year.
