Froshies week! I am walking along campus and looking at the old infastructre of the university when I bumped into you. You are wearing a varsity jacket and has two minions who wears the same. My insulated food bag that my mom insist for me to bring along unfortunately was half open and its content scattered all over hello Chuckie! 🤦♀️. Your minions laugh but not you. Instead you help me pick up all the scattered stuff and hand it over and never say a thing. I was flustered as I idiotly gaping my mouth but no word came out, I remain in that position until the school bell rang as a sign that classes are about to begin. In that I ran as fast as I could towards Room 207, my very first subject in college, Humanities.

Have you heard the saying living life in a cut out cardboard? Or you have a cookie cutter life well I always felt that my life is exactly like that but before you got confuse I would like to introduce my self on my own perspective.
My name is Kirsten Alessandra Ocampo Soriano. Alessandra Soriano to everyone but Alex to family and friends. Don't tell my parents but I find the name Alessandra too flashy and I am the type that wanted to hide just in the shadow eternally! After effect of someone who literally grew up under the limelight, perks of having a famous parents. Yep, I am a good definition of Showbiz Royalty my Dad is The Tyler Soriano, the iconic superstar slash CEO slash Motivational Speaker slash Iron Man Champion and my Mom is Cassidy Soriano nee Ocampo, reality sweetheart and restaurateur slash restaurant tycoon. I was barely one year old when I got my first ever commercial among the countless that I have until I was ten, my face was in the boxes of milk, diaper brand, juices, snack, hotdog and the likes thank God it was replace by Blake when she was born.
People often say that I look exactly like my Mom when she was on my age, and I agree I saw her pictures all over our family home, my father is head over heel mula noon and hanggang ngayon at ang masasabi ko lang eh hashtag GOALS. I have four other siblings Austin the second child is a year younger than me, seconded by Caleb, Cameron and our bunso and my one and only sister Blake basically the five of us grew up under the limelight camera use to follow us whenever we go and I felt like living in an aquarium. When our parents realize that we hate it they decided to built a home in suburb. Hence when I was 7, mom and dad decided to move and packed up our life in the suburb away from the noise thank God for small victories so together with my other four siblings we grew up in private, homeschooled and happy exclusive village.
Due to exclusivity the resident of MountainView is just a handful the real estate here are staggering in price once I have heard that what you really pay in our village is not the palacial houses but the price tag bears the word privacy along with it. Anyway two years after my Mama Gabbi, my Mom's bestfriend and her husband Tito Ryan move here as well bringing their two children in the homeschool club. But during highschool Quin who is Primo to most their eldest and the love of my life slash my boyfriend since I was sixteen through strict supervision of my Dad of course decided to attend regular school in the Metro and became a Varsity basketball player, he is that good. Because of the hours kung mag uuwian siya, his family decided to make him stayed on their hotel suite during weekdays and just came home every weekend. I was left finishing highschool through online lessons and homeschool. In this little haven I met my best friend in the whole wide world Anna Miranda Lagdameo, Mimi for short. my Mom says that she is my Tita Gabbi, my ride and die and I cannot agree more so even Quin was gone to regular school MountainView is never been boring with Mimi around.
For a brief background Mimi is the daughter of a sugarcane magnate to a renowned 'sexy star'. She is the unknown daughter because apparently her Dad do have another family. I know even if she keep on saying na ok lang at masaya siya she is longing for acknowledgement from her family on his Dad side.
Enough of my family life for now, today is a very important day of my life a commemoration of freedom ay wuw actually first day ko sa college hehe and I am super duper excited.
First agenda I drop using my name Alessandra, that most people known me for instead I got to introduce me as simple Alex, a daughter, an Ate and now a college student yipeeee!
Back to present time, currently I am catching my breath as I take two stairs at a time, beating time. Hindi naman porke't after kong makabangga ng guwapo eh malalate na ko. I am so excited to take up Management in St. John University while Quin is already sophomore in Xavierville taking up HRM and a varsity player. Yep di kami schoolmate but the silver lining is pareho nakaming nasa Manila and we can see each other anytime we want every vacant time.
I reach room 207 in a disheveled state, I open the old door na umingit which cause everybody's attention.
"Yes?" Tanong ng Professor sa harapan
"Sorry Sir I am late, I am actually in this class Humanities right?" Tanong ko
"You are in the correct room Miss?.." the professor trail
"Soriano Sir, Alessandra Soriano, but you can call me Alex po" Pakilala ko
"Ah yes I know you Alessandra, Tyler's eldest. I attended you father's symposium in Marco Polo" masayang saad niya at gusto ko na mag face palm "find a seat Hija" utos niya.
I look around and saw him, the boy in a varsity jacket na tumulong magpulot ng gamit he is staring at me and I got concious kaya pinili kong yumuko. Sa kamalas malasan tanging vacant seat na natira eh yung sa harapan ng grupo nila, I sigh kaya mo to Alex you are one brave girl kaya taas noo akong nag tungo sa upuan at tahimik na umupo.
Class started and I felt uneasy, yung feeling na may naka tingin sayo. And when I look around I saw him, totoo nga nakatingin pa rin siya sa akin, problema nito.
"Okay, before anything else I am requesting everyone to introduce your self. Tell us three things that makes you unique. Let us start here" turo niya sa upuan sa harapan people starting to introduce themselves hanggang nakarating na sa side namin.
"Hi I am Raphael Aldeguer my friends call me Rafa, I am in third year already with irregular status" nagtawanan ang mga friends niya na ikinatawa niya rin "Anyway I'm from Cebu, and my family is heavily involve in pawnshop business".
The class clap like whattdaa wala naman akong narinig na impressive doon. The next is his other friend "Hi I am Miggy Ledesma, you can call me Juan Miguel if you are my mother if not it is just Miggy" he smirk "Well I am a varsity basketball player and my family originally from Negros, and this year we are planning to have a three peat for men's basketball" he scream na sinagot ng mga classmate namin ng "Hell Yeah!"
Ako na ang next medyo kinabahan ako "Hi my name is Alex Soriano" somebody whistle but I ignore it "I am an eldest daughter and I have four other siblings, I love biking"
No one clap or reacted, and I exhale "boriiing" narinig ko sabi ni Miggy I look at him at nag kibit balikat lang siya jerk. Nagawi ang tingin ko sa susunod na magsasalita.
"Basti Lacsamana" simpleng saad niya habang patuloy akong tinititigan. What the eff is his problem.
"Basti may gusto kang ishare?" Tanong ng prof at tanging iling lang ang kanyang naging tugon. "Well as you all know Men's Basketball's newest team Captain is Sebastian Arambulo Lacsamana right?" Dagdag ng prof namin. As he was answer with different reaction the girls and the gays swoon the boys shouted "Yeah Basti!!!"
"Buildings of this school are often donated by the Arambulos and the Lacsamanas and the school are so happy that you came here to continue the legacy Basti. Now the SJU Hawks is going to lead us for our third championship that is because sa tatlong taong dedication ni Basti and his team" madramang saad ng professor namin and Basti just shake his head.
Sinamantala ko ang pagkakataon para siya ay mapag masdan, he is quite tall, moreno and ehem gwapo. Not as pretty boy as Quin kasi my boyfriend is meztizo but malakas ang dating niya. He caught me looking and he gave me a smirk shiiit yumuko nalang ako ng tuluyan and busied my self writing at gather all my might na wag tingnan si Basti.
When the bell rang, I immediately gather my stuff para mag lakad towards my next subject.
"Alessandra.." parang may tumatawag sa akin and I stop at lumingon nakasunod si Basti as he call me again "Alessandra"
"It's Alex" pag co-correct ko bakit ang sexy pag siya yung nag sasabi ng Alessandra
"Well it's Alessandra for me" he smile, pucha naman ang unfair Lord, may boyfriend ako may boyfriend ako may boyfriend ako paulit ulit kong chinant sa utak ko.
"Hey" ulit niya
"May boyfriend ako" bulalas ko shiiit san ba fissure dito pakilamon naman naman ako
He is slightly taken aback pero mabilis niyang tinago "why do you think I care?" He chuckled "after all you are not my type"
I felt redness creep on my face as Rafa caught up with us he whistle "perfect ten" he announce
"Nevermind Rafa this one is taken" saad ni Basti.

"Thanks" maikli kong sagot sabay hablot ng papel, I created quite a distance then nilingon ko sila the two of them was joined by friends and Basti has a girl na nakaakbay sa kanya, maputi, matangkad at chinita tsss not my type my ass.
