[After the formal engagement, US]
"What did you say? You lost the engagement ring?" Namjoon questioned Rosette again and again upon hearing the unbelievable words she said
"Namjoon,I swear I placed it on the bedside table before going to the washroom" Rosette desperately tried to explain the situation
"Its just been half an hour since you wore the engagement ring,and its already lost?" Namjoon couldn't believe it
"Hey,calm down. Lets search for it together, alright?"
"Yeah,alright" calming himself down,Namjoon joined Rosette on searching for her ring
They searched every corner of their bedroom where they've been living since Namjoon's official proposal. Namjoon was now frustrated and ran his hands through his hair. They searched for a while,but the ring was nowhere to be seen.
"Rosette,you know what,I'll just buy you the same ring" Namjoon said
"wasn't that custom made?" she asked
"right,but I can stillㅡ"
"And you know the significance of the engagement ring my mom told us about..."
"you said theres nothing like that when she was saying so" Namjoon recalled
"I don't know,I just want to find it,but...I'm so sorry Namjoon...it hasn't even been a day"
"its alright,I make a lot more mistakes than you do, and you know already" He tried to reassure her
"but its a big mistake,how can I be so irresponsible?"
"hey..I said its alright. Forget that,lemme ask the maid if the dinner's ready" Namjoon went downstairs
Rosette giggled ear to ear and found his reaction to be really funny,yet he was so understanding.She was glad that he wasn't angry at her and instead tried to comfort her.
He came back, "its ready,lets go"
"hey,wait" she made him stop on his tracks
"yes?" He questioned
She went to the washroom and came back quickly with the ring in her hands
"you found it? but didn't you say you placed it on the bedside table? it should've been in the room" Namjoon's expression changed into a puzzled one
"what do you think,Mr. IQ 148?" She teasingly asked
"it was a prank? who does such pranks?" Namjoon soon realised
"you got it! I do and will keep doing in the future" She laughed saying the last line
"you!" Namjoon went up to her and while grabbing her on her arms,threw her on the bed. She was taken aback by his actions,but then it was his turn to start laughing, "what did you think of just now?"
"what do you mean?"
"you're blusing" He laughed,standing up
"what? stop teasing me" She pouted and sat up on the bed
"lets go,dinner's probably cooled down a little bit more than required right now"
She stood up and started walking up to the door where Namjoon was standing,"okay" she said
They got out of their room and she suddenly said, "omo,whats on your face?" looking at Namjoon
"what is it?" he asked touching his face,feeling notihing
"here" she moved closer to him, he's still unbothered and then she quickly pecked on his lips leaving Namjoon surprised
"the last move should be mine" saying that,she ran down the stairs in a hurry while Namjoon was still there smiling like a fool as he rubbed the nape of his neck

[Next morning]
Rosette slowly opened her eyes as she woke up only to find Namjoon laying right next to her,looking at her sleeping. He smiled, "you woke up too early,you know that?"
She rubbed her eyes, "what time is it now?"
"1 pm,isn't that early?"
"what?" she widened her eyes, "thats nowhere close to early! I slept a lot more than I expected"
Namjoon chuckled,"you can sleep more if you want,you said no to breakfast anyways"
"you should've woke me up instead of just looking at me" She slowly got up
"you were sleeping so soundly that I couldn't wake you up, and whats wrong with looking at my fiancée sleeping,huh?"
She got out of her bed and was about to walk away when Namjoon grabbed her wrist, "what is it again?" she asked
"you need to be punished for last night's prank" Namjoon smirked
"You wish!" She removed his hand from her wrist forcefully and ran downstairs
"you're gonna regret it once I get to you" Namjoon shouted from the bedroom and started running after her
"for that you've to catch me first" She ran around the living room
Namjoon kept running after her and then she said, " I'm going to call the maids"
"no,you're not" Namjoon chased her faster and finally caught her, "you shouldn't have tried at the first place"
"theres no fun if I didn't"
"is that so?" Namjoon held her waist with his hands and their eyes met, their bodies apart with just an inch
"it is,I'm going to shower first,you've to let me go" She said
"sure" Namjoon let her go unexpectedly and disappointment was written all over her face. "why? didn't you want me to let you go?" he smirked
"yeah,so?" she started walking upstairs avoiding his gaze
"your face says otherwise" he laughed
"oh it doesn't!" she said getting a bit mad and stormed off to their room
Namjoon quickly followed her to their room, she heard his footsteps and knew that he entered the room following her,but she was unbothered. Namjoon turned her around grabbing her wrist again to make her face him,she was surprised at the sudden turn and couldn't make herself say anything. He instantly placed his lips on hers catching her off guard,his right hand skowly trailed off to her head and caressed her hair,left hand on her waist. She was still trying to process what was happenning while he kissed her softly,taking it slow,but she didn't kiss him back,yet smiled at his actions. This didn't havevto be to way too forceful to be addressed as passionate, it was just how it is. He let go of her slowly and smiled, to which she replied with an awkward smile.
He brought his hand to her forehead,which left her wondering what will be his move now,but he suddenly flicked her forehead with his fingers when she was expecting something else, "ouch" she placed her hands on her forehead, "yah!what was that for?"
"for not kissing me back" He said
"I literally wasn't expecting that" She said
He chuckled,"alright,be prepared next time"
"next time? when? today?" She questioned
"Aigoo,don't be too excited"
"I'm definitely not!" She puffed her cheeks unknowingly while he laughed at the girl he was ridiculously fond of.
