Isabella's POV
When I heard his dare I thought he was going to pick Olivia but instead of leaning to his left he leaned into me putting his lips so close to my ears I could feel the warmth of his breath.
"What if..." he whispered into my ear. "What if after this game I take you to my apartment and take you to my bed... Image all the things I could do to you. Imagine my hands all over your body, my lips kissing yours... But that's not going to happen, because what can I do with a virgin Mary like you. I prefer my girls a bit more experienced. You're pathetic to think anyone would want you." He whispered and without thinking I raised my hand and slapped it across his cheek. He leaned back and looked completely surprised by my reaction. What did you expect?
"You disgust me... You're nothing but an arrogant ass." I yelled and when I looked around I saw everybody, including Drew, looking at us with chocked faces. I sighed and stood up before running out of the room, down the stairs and outside the house as fast as I could and I could only hope nobody followed me because I just wanted to be alone. I walked into the garden and was completely alone. Good for me. I sat down on one of the garden chairs and pulled my knees up to my body and that's when I burst out in tears. Why does he hate me so much, I didn't do anything to deserve those hurtful comments. Why? I thought I left high school behind but the childlike behavior just follows me around. It was always like that... Look at her clothes, look at her haircut, look at her... All our money went to alcohol, so no new clothes for me. I worked every weekend at a restaurant waiting tables to pay for my clothing, my own food and school. Yes, I do own a lot of clothing that covers almost every inch of my body. Long jeans, long sleeves, turtlenecks and a fair amount of hoodies, but that's what you do when you need to cover up bruises most of the week. With mom it was just neglect but when dad started drinking he became aggressive. Everything I did was wrong according to him, so I would receive a beating for brushing my teeth or cooking his dinner wrong. When I moved to college I was finally free. My parents have no clue where I am and I would like to keep it that way. But Lukas was right, nobody wants me, not even my parents.
I was startled when someone placed a hand on my shoulder. I turned around and saw it was Drew. He sits down in front of me and places his hands on my knees. "I don't know what he said to you, but don't let him ruin your night out. Remember what you told me? He's not worth it." He whispered while rubbing his fingers over my knee.
"I know, he just said some pretty mean stuff." I sobbed while trying to wipe away my tears.
"How about I make you forget him? Isabella will you dance with me?" He put out his hand and I grabbed it and before I knew it we were back inside the house. When we got to the dancefloor I was grabbed by someone. Mia held my wrist and pulled me to other side of the room forcing me to leave Drew behind.
"I'm so sorry for whatever my dick brother said to you." She pouted and hugged me tightly.
"I'm fine, really." I spoke over the music.
"He's just Luke, he's moody, angry and an idiot. Wherever he goes trouble follows him and often I'm left to pick up the pieces. I'm sorry Bella." She slurred her words but I knew she meant it. She hugged me again and caressed my hair. "Your hairrrr is so soft." She slurred again.
"Exactly how drunk are you?" I giggled.
"Drunk enough to dance like there is no tomorrow." She chuckled and I joined her. "Wanna dance?"
"I promised Drew I would dance with him. So, I'm going to go find him."
"What's up with you and Drew? You guys are cute togetherrrr!" She said while pinching one of my cheeks.
"Nothing, we're just friends." I chuckled.
"Yeah, yeah and I'm Jeniferrrr Lopezzzz. Go get your man." She pushed me in Drew's direction and before I knew it I bumped into his chest and he put his hands on my shoulders to steady me.
"This is the second time today you save me from falling." I giggled.
"And I would do it all over again." He took my hand and pulled me to the middle of the dancefloor before putting his hands on my waist. His touch was gentle and his hands were warm. I put my hands around his neck and he took that as a sign to pull me closer. We danced for a couple of songs and Drew didn't let go of my body. He slightly rubbed against me, even though it gave me a strange feeling at the beginning, I didn't mind as he continued. Drew is good guy and a handsome one too. Lukas on the other hand, god I hate him. The entire time Drew and I were dancing Lukas was watching us from the other side of the room. I couldn't stand the way he was looking at me, like he was disappointed. He doesn't even know me!
While the music was blasting through the room Drew leaned in to whisper something in my ear. "So about that kiss..."
"What about it?" I said looking at his perfect face and his brown eyes. They were full of want and I knew he wanted to kiss me again but was I ready for that?
"I uuhm..." Without finishing his sentence he grabbed my face and placed his lips on mine. The soft kiss made me smile against his lips. As my lips parted he took that as an invitation to explore my mouth with his tongue while his hands slipped further around my waist leaving no space between our bodies. He deepened the kiss and pulled me off the floor the align our faces while my fingers were running through his hair. I pulled back to look at his eyes and they were glistening in the dark. I think I might be falling for him, maybe a bit too fast. Oh hell with it, just keep kissing his beautiful lips. When I wanted to lean in to kiss drew again I felt something cold and wet being spilled over me. Drew set me down quickly while I was still trying to comprehend what had happened. All I knew was that my white T-shirt was drenched with a sticky and cold liquid. Of course I had to wear a white one. Everyone take notes I'm wearing a lilac bra that's now completely exposed by the fact my white T-shirt is completely wet.
"What the hell man!" Drew pushed Lukas, who was holding an empty cup. Oh hell no, he did this?!
"Did you just do that on purpose?" I asked him frowning my brows. Before answering I caught him staring at my exposed bra and I quickly used my arms to cover myself. Pervert.
"The way you two were kissing, I figured you needed something to cool you down."
"So you pour a drink on her?" Drew grabbed Lukas by his shirt but Lukas pushed Drew back.
"I spilled my drink on her." Lukas laughed. 'That's not the same."
"What have I done to you to deserve this?" I yelled swinging my hands through the air but as soon I remembered my exposed bra, I put them back in front of my chest. When he didn't answer fast enough to my liking I turned around and walked away from both Lukas and Drew as quickly as I could. I have to find Mia, I want to go home.
After a couple of minutes I found Mia who was sitting in a couch on Jason's lap.
"What the hell happened to you?" Mia asked surprised when she saw me and my drenched clothes.
"Your asshole brother is what happened." I snapped.
"Whaaaatt?" She slurred her words even more than the last time I saw her.
"Forget about it. Can we go home... I want to go home."
"Alrrrready?"
"Mia, I'm drenched, I'm cold, I'm humiliated and most of all exposed... I want to go home."
"Okay, I totallyyyy understand. Let's gooo." She said while she tried to get of Jason's lap. But Jason pulled her back.
"No way Mia, you are going nowhere." He said. "Listen Isabella, I'm sorry for what happened, but Mia is too drunk to stand on her legs let alone walk all the way home with you. She's staying with me tonight, I live here." Jason said on a friendly tone.
"Jason, I rrrreally should go with herrrrr!" Mia said but Jason was right she was too drunk to walk home with me and I'm not strong enough to carry her if she passes out along the way.
"It's fine Mia, I'll just go. See you tomorrow before class, okay?"
"Be safe Bella. Text me when you'rrrrre home."
"Will do." I said before turning on my heel and walking towards the door. I finally could leave this stupid party and go back to my peaceful apartment without loud music, silly games and jerks pouring drinks over me. Just me a hot shower and my fluffy pajamas.
When I walkout out on the street I heard someone calling my name, but I decided not to turn around. I was done with this frat house and all the people in it. But after a few steps the voice caught up to my pace and a hand took my wrist.
"Where are you going?" Drew said while looking at me with sadness on his face.
"Home." I snapped.
"Alone?"
"Yeah, Mia is too drunk to walk with me and I also want to be alone Drew. " I tried to avoid looking at his face but be he gently took my chin and pushed it in his direction. When our eyes met I looked down at our feet.
"Hey, What did I do wrong?" Drew said and I could hear by the tone of his voice he was hurt because I was acting so distant.
"Nothing, you have done nothing wrong Drew. You have been a gentlemen to me tonight." I said looking up to meet his brown eyes again.
"Then let me walk you home? If anything happens to you when you're out on the streets alone, I wouldn't be able to live with myself." Drew said while caressing my cheek with his thumb.
"Alright, you can w-" Before I could finish my sentence someone tall stood between us, facing Drew.
"She is going nowhere with you!" The person snarled at Drew. I know this voice. Uurhhg Lukas again.
"I can decide for myself asshole." I said while pushing Lukas's back making him stumble forward. "I'm going with Drew." Sadly Lukas didn't fall forward. Instead he turned around and took my arm before dragging me away from Drew without even saying a word. When I looked down to his hand on my arm I noticed his finger tattoos for the first time. He had a ring tattooed on his thumb and some tribal symbols covered his other fingers. "Let go of my arm." I yelled while trying to yank away my arm from his grip, but failing to do so. "I said let go." I smacked his shoulder but he didn't even budge an inch.
"Stop being difficult! I'm giving you a ride home. You can thank me later." Lukas
"Hey dude, Let her go!" Drew yelled while pushing at Lukas's shoulder almost knocking meover.
"It's fine Drew I can handle this!" I said while succeeding to yank my arm to freedom. I turned to Lukas and pushed him away with both hands on his chest. "Why Lukas? Why do youwant to give mea ride home!? All you have been doing is humiliating me, saying mean things to me, pouring drinks over me. You have been acting awful. So, why would you care if or how I got home."
"Because my sister told me she was too drunk to walk you home and it's my fault she got drunk. She can't handle shots. So, that makes you my responsibility and if something happens to you she will kill me." Lukas growled.
"Aahw look at that, Badass Lukas is afraid of his little sister. I'm fine! Drew will walk me home." I hissed at him and he cocked a brow at me.
"You are not going with him Isabella!" He took my wrist and pulled me towards a parked car at the end of the street with Drew following us. I knew there was nothing I could do to convince Lukas to change his mind, so I gave in. Mia knew I was with him and if he tried to kill me at least I would get justice because I'm sure Mia would skin him alive.
"Drew, it's okay. I'll see you tomorrow! Take me out on a date or something?" I yelled in his direction. I'm pretty sure that last lit up his face.
"You sure?" He yelled before smiling from ear to ear.
"Yeah." I said and he stopped in his tracks before turning around and heading back to the party. I, on the other hand, was heading to the other direction. I was going to get in a car with my sworn enemy.
