N/A: I am so sorry that this part is late. Like super super super late. This part of the date is why I had to split it in two (a butthole) parts. I couldn't figure out what to do for the second half of Demus side, and procrastination came into play. Also let's see how many references you can find.
Dee was waiting for Roman at the restaurant. It's been ten minutes. He felt uneasy about this. Roman's never been late to his classes, if anything he's early. 'Is he even not coming?' Dee thought.
The waitress comes over. Her name tag read Karen. "Hello um.... Sir? Are you ready to take your order?" She felt uncomfortable because of Dee's face.
"No... I'm waiting for my date. If even even shows up." Dee mumbled that last part.
The waitress snorted. "Hah! Who would like you? You're so ugly, I bet your "date" stood you up and only said yes because they felt bad."
"Au contraire!" Dee looked up and saw Remus, in a suit. He looked at bit confused until the look in Remus's eyes said to just go with it.
"Uh, see? He's my date." He felt relief as his lying came in handy for once.
The waitress was sputtering. "But... But he's hot, and you're... Not!"
'You must have bad taste if you think I'm hot-' Remus thought.
"Oh shut up you crusty dusty dinosaur, I bet all your lovers left you because you're a bag of dicks in the personality." He spat as he sat down.
The waitress shrieked. "You heathen! My manager will hear about this!" She storms away with a red face.
Remus and Dee laugh to themselves. Dee hasn't laughed like that in a while. Dee smiled at Remus for a bit.
"Thank you, for doing that... "
"Anything for a friend" Remus died on the inside while saying that.
Dee looks down. "So... Is Roman coming?"
Remus frowns. "I'm sorry. I left before he did, getting ready for my own date. What a coincidence it would also be here. But I haven't seen him enter as I've waited. My date was an asshole, so I dumped wine on him and went to see if I could find you. I didn't want you to be alone."
"Oh.. " Dee frowns. Of course Roman didn't actually like him. 'I am so smart. Why would he like me?' He felt Remus grab his hand and he looked at him.
"Hey, don't be upset. At least I'm here for you." Remus gave him a lopsided smile.
Dee slowly smiled. "I guess you're right." He stood up. "Hey, that waitress was a mega bitch, why not just go somewhere else to eat tomorrow?"
Remus melted on the inside. He didn't think this was going to work, he didn't think Dee would stay. He needed to thank Virgil. "Of course."
They got up together and walked out of the restaurant, flipping off the bitchy waitress, who made offended noises.
As the two walked, Remus tried to hold Dee's hand, but he got too nervous so he pulled away. Dee looks up at the night sky.
"The stars are disgusting."
"Yeah.. They are."
"Just like Roman's eyes." Remus frowns and looks away from him. He makes no comment. However, he looked back at him when he felt his hand being grabbed. "But I shouldn't focus on him, when I have you right next to me."
Remus felt a blush creep on his face. "Dee.... That.... That's exceptionally cheesy of you." He chuckled.
"Yeah, yeah" Dee chuckled along with him.
"Dork." 'Though I wish he was my dork... '
The two talked to each other about miscellaneous things as they walked. They made fun of all their friends at one point.
"No way!"
"Yes way, I swear if you catch him at the right time, he looks like a creature straight out of a horror movie in the morning."
To that, Dee chuckled. "Oh you don't have to send me a picture of that."
"I don't have to, check it out!" Remus pulls out his phone and shows it to Dee.
Dee tries to hold back in his laughter as he sees a dead inside Roman. He fails to do so, and he laughs even more. Remus couldn't hold it in either and joined with Dee in laughter. Just two dorks laughing under the moonlight. They got vacant stares from the others walking in the street but the two didn't care.
Once they calmed down, Remus put his phone away and realized that he was still holding Dee's hand. He flushed and looked away.
"Remus?"
"Yeah?"
"Why is your face so blue?"
Remus couldn't just tell Dee his feelings. Not now at least. "It's just a bit cold outside."
".... It's June."
That caused him to flush even more. "Well it's cold to me!" He was slightly cold, but not enough to turn red. However, he felt significantly warmer when he felt something put on him. He looked at Dee to see him without his suit jacket.
"Well, I think you should wear it if you're hot." He smiled at his buddy.
Remus's heated face remains as he fully puts on the jacket, unfortunately letting go of Dee's hand. He held it again once he got the jacket on.
"I see a good place to eat up ahead. Wanna go there?" Once Dee nodded, they both continued their path to the restaurant.
Beatty's was the name. The lore behind it says that it used to be a small coffee shop but it grew into a huge business. It's now the home of good food and singing waitresses.
The two were inside and they soon got their table. They talked for a bit before getting bothered by a bothered waitress. Her name tag read as Emma.
"Evening, I'm your server gal
What would you like today~"
She looked like she did not want to do this. Remus knew what Dee wanted so he spoke. "Just two plates of spaghetti." He did not like spaghetti one bit. But he wants to appear normal.
Dee leaned over to her and whispers. "You don't have to sing if you don't want to"
The waitress looked relieved. "Oh thank god. I'll make the meal half price if I don't get caught. Deal?"
"Deal!" Remus was upset that he didn't get to hear her singing. But hey, half price is close to a free meal right?
"I'll get your spaghetti soon." She walked off, leaving the two to discuss more important things.
"So how's school treating you Dee?"
They don't really go to a school. It's just a place where they learn one specific thing that they want to be good at. Because Dee didn't pick one, he just got stuck with lying. He's trying to change but the school won't let him.
"They're fucking me over-"
"Ain't that the truth?"
"And I'm sick of it!"
"Amen!"
Dee chuckled. "I love the school admins. Totally not bitches."
"And insane! Who names a printer? And Percy of all names?! If it were up to me, its name would be Prince. It's similar to print so-"
"Remus Crown, you are a fucking idiot!" Dee smiled.
Remus blushed a bit as the waitress came back. "Here's your meal. Unfortunately, another waitress broke most of the plates. So we can only give you one plate to share. Is that fine?"
Dee nodded. He didn't mind sharing with his best bud.
"Good." The waitress looked behind her and frowned. Then she forced herself a smile. "Enjoy your meal you two, I'll off myself now don't mind if I do~" She quickly walked off.
"As much as I want to feel bad for her, that's just me on a daily basis."
Remus frowned. "Dee, no. You're an amazing guy, the best I know. I wouldn't want to replace you with any one. And I love you."
Dee smiled. "Aww. I love you too. You're the worst best friend I've ever had."
Ouch. That stung Remus a bit, but he knew it would of been too soon. He just has to wait to until Dee gets over Roman. He forced a smile onto his face. "Hah, yeah. Best friend. Because that's what we are. Friends."
"You are acting weirder that usual. Eat up Remus, the food would get hot." Dee began to eat their shared spaghetti. His friend was being weird but that's normal. Besides, it's not like he would lie to him.
Remus began to eat the dinner. 'Just suck it up, don't think about it.' It was nothing good. He hated every bite but he had to do it.
As they ate, they felt one noodle become persistent in not wanting to be eaten. They both tried to slurp it up but only met each other's faces, inches away from meeting their lips. Remus flushed, Dee found it amusing. Dee connected their lips, just to get more of the noodle. Remus felt heat rise more in his face. Dee pulled away, chuckling as he finished his noodle.
Remus still needed to calm his face. "D-Dee! That was your first kiss."
"I do mind my first kiss being with my best friend." Dee smiled.
That smile made Remus melt on the inside. He was a mess when it came to Dee. He'd be flirting flawlessly with someone he had no interest in, but Dee comes along and Remus falls apart.
"And I most certainly do not mind having my first kiss with you."
The two went back to eating. They finished and got their bill. That nice waitress Emma kept her promise and they paid half price. The two stepped out of the restaurant to find it pouring rain.
"Damn, what now?"
Remus checked his phone to find a text from Virgil. "We can find shelter in a moment, let me respond to this text"

TrashMan: Got it.
Remus put away his phone and looked at the guy who made him go crazy. "Why don't we take a nice walk in the park?"
Dee thought about it and nodded. He grabbed Remus's hand, making the trash man blush, as they walked to a nearby park.
The two just walked. As soon as they got to the park, Remus began to dance in the rain. Dee snorted.
"What are you doing?"
"I'm dancing!" Remus laughed. "And you can't stop me cause I'm the Queen of the castle! Get down you dirty rascal"
Dee shook his head smiling. "Idiot, you wont catch a virus."
"Join me, and we'll be sick together!" Remus stuck his tongue out.
Dee rolled his eyes and went up to Remus. Remus instinctively grabbed Dee's hands and spun him around. Dee began to laugh and joined him in dancing.
"Get down babe!" Remus laughed. "Getting down and dirty, does the high and mighty Dee"
Dee snorts. "Haha, shut up!"
The two continued to dance for hours. They never realized what time it was until Remus began to sneeze. Once he did, Dee checked the time.
"I told you you'd get sick" Dee mumbled, taking Remus's hand and walking with him.
"Sorry not sorry. I just wanted to have some fun." Re giggled.
Dee rolled his eyes and smiled. "Come on, I'm taking you home. We can risk anything."
Remus blushed a bit. 'God I'm so in love. Too bad he likes my brother.'
The two walked and talked. They were two dorks walking in the rain. The rain, however, had stopped once the two reached Remus and Roman's home.
"Thank you, for tonight." Dee said.
"No problem. And hey, you made my night better." Remus quickly hugged the soaking wet Dee. "Night!" He stepped into his house and closed the door.
Re checked out the window to see Dee walking away. He sighed happily before texting Virgil that Dee is on his way home.
"Today was perfect... And Dee might be mine"
