I woke up and panicked, the last I remembered was being sat on the bench, completely pissed at my dad, not for starting a new relationship, but for not telling me and for the possible infidelity against my mother. My mother had left me, but not because she'd cheated on my dad, because she left for an amazing job doing something supposedly amazing abroad. I always describe the unknown as amazing because it could be terrible but I wouldn't know until I saw it for myself.

I sat up clutching the side of my head as a shoot of pain sent pressure to behind my ear. I was in my room, but who brought me here? It must have been my dad, but I couldn't grasp an ounce of memory to recall what happened last night.

I swung my feet over my bed forgetting the pain in my head I ran to the door of my room, swinging it open, the mirror at the end of the landing presented someone who looked like me, but had gotten into a serious fight. This scared me I don't care how angry I was at my dad I needed to find him, maybe he knew how I got these marks, I ran back into my room getting changed as fast as I could, but then I saw my legs, I don't know how I hadn't realised when I woke up, but I stared at them as they were covered in bruises and one had a large bandage with the faintest of blood stains. Not wanting to look any longer I threw on a pair of skinny jeans, and a dusty old Ramones Tshirt and went to find my dad, I checked downstairs but no one was in and the house was freezing, as I walked to switch on the heating, a limp from my bandaged leg was becoming ever more prominent.

I made it up the stairs and pushed the door open to my dads bedroom, maybe he was asleep? But his bed was clear, his wardrobes empty... he'd done a runner, there was no note, not even a text he'd just packed up and left. I assumed with the guilt he'd run off to spend the night with Tamara. I couldn't focus, I just couldn't think about what was going on, the pain in my head became a dull throb, I rubbed my head. This isn't my life, This isn't my life I repeated it in my head hoping if I said it enough times I might believe myself. I called my dads number he could at least answer me. It rang for what seemed like forever, then a sudden robotic woman spoke I'm sorry but this number is no longer available... her words continued but the reality was sinking in, he'd cut all ties, gone without leaving a trace.

I wanted to cry but right now that wasn't important. I needed to get to the hospital maybe they were the ones who applied the bandage they might know what had happened to me. I didn't know how to get anywhere, I had no car, no bike (I'd not been able to save up enough of the peanuts they were paying me at a diner downtown) I had to call someone, the only taxi firm I had was a little company who had about 3 cars, they weren't very well known so the chance of getting a taxi was pretty good, I rang the number and after 2 rings the calming voice of George spoke "Lilypad I recognise your number what's up?" George was a middle aged man who had a daughter around the same age, she hated him though and instead opted to live with her mother, Georges ex-wife, George was very kind and treated me like a member of the family. "Hey George, can I have a taxi please from my house?" "Sure I'll come and get you I'll be there in about ... 10 minutes?"
"That's fine, thanks George" I ended the call, I hated the thought of George seeing me like this, I hated myself like this but I needed answers and Georges car was the only way.

Just then my phone bleep 3 times simultaneously, of course it was Joe, Melody and Sarah, I forgot I was meant to be at college today! They wanted to know where I was. Instead I left the messages for later when I knew the answers myself. The next 10 minutes passed by like hours, I paced the house checking what had been taken and what hadn't. I packed a bag within 30 seconds grabbing the basics, purse, keys and phone. I couldn't imagine needing anything else.

I heard the beep of the car horn calling me so I grabbed my bag turned the lights off, locked up and stumbled my way across the doorstep. Limping down the driveway George turned to look at me horror in his eyes he got out of the car to help me "Lily what happened to you!? Where's your dad?" "It doesn't matter George can you take me to the hospital?" I couldn't tell him for the sake of not knowing how this happened and who had done it
"Of course I can" The nearest hospital to us was a 20 minute drive away, the whole time was spent sat in silence, every now and then George would open his mouth to say something but I knew his conscience stopped him every time. He sloped the car up to the entrance of A&E as I fumbled in my bag to get money from my purse "stop" George said, his tone changed to the sound of an upset child, I knew he cared for me like a daughter. "put your money away Lilypad I'll come in to the hospital with you"                                                                                                                                               "you don't have to George"                                                                                                                                   "Don't question it Lil' you're like a daughter to me I'm not leaving you alone like this"

George parked up and he grabbed a wheelchair and told me to sit in it. "I don't need a wheel chair George" I said with a small smile "Have you seen your limp? I think you do" He wheeled me in to the reception area it wasn't very busy being 9am on a Tuesday morning. I stared down the hallway as George spoke to the receptionist suddenly my headache came on so painful it was like a knife had impaled me through my head. I screamed out in pain and fell from the wheelchair to the floor I couldn't move, stand or talk, I could just see. I saw the fear in Georges eyes, the people in A&E staring at me and I saw the doctors and nurses swarm me to help me onto a bed. I heard shouting all around me and the sting of a needle into my arm "Don't worry" the nurse cooed "This will make you feel better" seconds later I began to feel drowsy, the nurse had given me anaesethic, damnit I tried to fight it but soon sleep took me over.

Well that escalated quickly don't ya think? quite a long chapter too, not as long as the first but still a chunky piece of writing. Hope you enjoy it! Who do you think has hurt Lily? And what do you think will happen to her? leave me some comments with your answers and I'll update as soon as I get these stupid college assignments over with! I have the determination just not the motivation. Xxx
