Josh's POV
It has been almost two weeks since Justen came out of the hospital and today he was finally able to come back to school. As soon as he stepped through the door of the school, I welcomed him with open arms.
"Hi, Justen," I said, hugging him as soon as he stepped into the school.
"Hi, Josh," Justen said, hugging me back.
"How have you been?" I asked, releasing him from the hug.
"You already know," Justen chuckled. "I mean, you were the one who was texting me during school and in the middle of the night asking me if I was okay."
"I was worried about you," I said, a blush creeping across my face.
"I know," Justen said. "And, to answer your question, I am doing great."
"Really?" I asked.
Justen nodded. "Ever since I did what I did, I've realized that I was just being selfish and worrying about my problems."
"It's not selfish to worry about yourself every once in a while," I said.
"Okay," Justen said. "But it also made me realize how much I cared about everyone here and how I don't want to see them sad."
"You're mainly talking about me, aren't you?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
"You know it," Justen said.
"Okay," I said. "Are we able to meet up tonight?"
"I'll talk to my dad about it," Justen said. "He hasn't been letting me leave the house."
"Wait, are you actually going to talk to your dad?" I asked over dramatically.
"I know right?" Justen said, joining in on my sarcasm. "But seriously, my dad has changed and I think it's time I notice that he's changed and actually act like an adult and talk to him."
"Good for you," I said.
"How are things going with you?" Justen asked.
"Good," I said. "My mom and dad got a divorce and I've been living with my mom and Michael."
"What happened to your dad, if you don't mind me asking," Justen said.
"He went to jail and he has no rights to see me or Michael," I said.
"Are you going to be okay?" Justen asked.
"Yeah," I sighed.
"So, what has happened while I was gone?" Justen asked.
"Well, Holly and Nathan went on their first official date," I said.
"Seriously?!" Justen asked.
"Yeah," I smiled.
"My ship is sailing!!!" Justen said.
I laughed. "Bridget and Cameron are spending a lot more time together too, they're practically attached at the hip."
Justen laughed. "That's gonna cause Cameron some trouble."
"I know," I laughed.
"What about teachers?" Justen asked.
"Literally nothing," I said.
"Well that's boring," Justen said, rolling his eyes.
Just as he rolled his eyes, the bell for first hour rang.
"Well, it looks like we have to get to class," I said.
"Bye, I love you," Justen said.
"Bye, I love you and I might see you tonight?" I said.
"See you tonight," Justen smiled before walking to his first-hour class.
