At Jason and Sam's Penthouse
"Well I would say that was a pretty successful trip to see Santa." Sam said as they walked through the door. "Yeah, and this one behaved pretty well even though she doesn't really understand too much of what's going on yet." Jason said smiling softly as he looked down at Phoenix who was fast asleep in his arms. "Yeah, and just think about next year she'll be a year old and hopefully enjoy it even more." Sam said smiling softly at Jason and he smiled back at her. "You have a good time Danny?" Jason asked and Danny nodded. "Yeah I had a great time, I have a question though." He said and Sam and Jason looked at him. "What's up buddy?" Sam asked him. "Can we build a gingerbread house? You did promise Mom." Danny said. "I did promise you that didn't I, yes of course, I'm sure that Scout will want to help, right baby girl?" Sam asked looking at Emily who was in her arms. "Yeah!" She said happily and Sam smiled at her. "I'll be right down after I take Phoenix upstairs." Jason said and Sam nodded. "Okay sounds good, see you in a few minutes." She said. "Yeah." Jason said smiling softly at her before kissing her and then he kissed Emily's forehead and then he took Phoenix upstairs and Sam turned her attention back to Danny. "Okay buddy, let's go in the kitchen." She said walking towards the kitchen and Danny happily follows behind her.
At Spoby's House
Spencer and Toby were sitting on the couch together and his arm was wrapped around her and she was holding Marion and Maggie was lying on the floor by their feet.
"You know we were right." Spencer said looking at him. "About what?" Toby asked her. "Oh come on you know exactly what I'm talking about, last year when we said that it was our favorite Christmas Eve because it was the first one with just us in this house, and then you agreed with me but said that this year would top it." Spencer said. "Because we'd officially be a family of four, of course I remember." Toby said smiling at her. "And then I agreed with you, and this is definitely pretty perfect." Spencer said looking down at Marion who was staring at the Christmas tree. "Yeah, it's cute how much she likes the lights." Toby said smiling. "Yeah she does,and you know that I wish that we could stay like this all day but we do still have to bake the cookies for my parents house tomorrow." Spencer said. "Don't worry we will, but first let's just stay like this a little bit longer." Toby said. "Okay I can't say no to that." Spencer said before resting her head on his shoulder and he gently kissed the top of her head.
At GH
"I would say that this year's Christmas party for the kids was a success." Elizabeth said smiling as she and Aria walked back to the Nurse's Station. "Yeah it definitely is going pretty well isn't it? The looks on the kids' faces' as Monica was reading "The Night Before Christmas" was absolutely precious." Aria said smiling back at her mom. "You know that I really appreciate you helping out today, I know you had the day off like I was supposed to, but when your dad told me that he got called into the station and he'll be working late, I figured that I would just come into work, and Jake and Aiden wanted to come." Elizabeth said and Aria nodded. "Oh it's no problem, you know that I love helping out with the kids, I mean it is my job as an art therapy teacher, I'm also glad that Cameron decided to come and help out." Aria said. "Well it might've been because Trina's with her family and Joss and Oscar are with theirs, but it is nice having him here." Elizabeth said smiling softly. "Yeah I know, and I'm happy to be here too." Aria said. "Again I really do appreciate that, but what about Holden?" Elizabeth asked. "He understands, I told him I'd meet with him later." Aria said and Elizabeth nodded. "So, I guess you two haven't heard anything about the house yet?" She asked and Aria shook her head. "No not yet, and Lucy said that we probably won't hear anything until after the holidays." Aria said. "Well, as I said before, I'm sure that you'll get it." Elizabeth said. "Well I am hoping so, right now I'm just trying to focus on the holidays and then hopefully we'll get the good news." Aria said smiling softly. ""Hopefully, you wanna go check on your brothers?" Elizabeth asked and she nodded. "Yeah, let's get back to the party." She said smiling at her and Elizabeth smiled back and then they walked back down the hall.
At Sonny and Carly's House
"Okay I finally got Donna to go down for her nap." Carly said as she walked down the stairs and over to the couch where Sonny, Emily, and Josslyn were sitting. "Someone's probably excited for her first visit from Santa." Josslyn said smiling. "Yeah probably, wow I can't believe that it's already her first Christmas." Emily said. "Yeah us either, this year really has flown by hasn't it." Sonny said. "Yeah, that's for sure." Carly said as she sat down next to him and he smiled at her before kissing her and Emily smiled softly watching them. "Okay so what's the plan for today?" Josslyn asked.
"Well Morgan is out with Darby right now but he said he'd be home later, I was hoping to recruit you and your sister in helping me finish wrapping Avery's presents." Carly said. "Yeah sure Mom, of course we can help you with that, right Joss?" Emily said looking at her sister who nodded. "Yeah of course." Joss said. "You okay Joss?" Carly asked her and she nodded. "Me? Yeah I'm fine, I was just thinking about last Christmas, not even knowing if Oscar would be here this year…" She said looking down at the floor and Emily grabbed her hand comfortingly. "But he is, he's here and he's alive and he's going to be here tomorrow." She said and Joss nodded. "Yeah I know, it'll be a great Christmas." She said smiling softly. "That's the plan." Sonny said smiling at Carly and she smiled back at him.
At Nathan and Maxie's Apartment
"I can't believe it's already Christmas Eve, I feel like this year has just flown by." Hanna said. "Yeah I know exactly what you mean, and we've gotta get the next issue of Crimson ready but obviously that can wait until after the New Year." Maxie said and Hanna nodded. "Yeah that's a good plan, I can't believe that this is already Meghan's second Christmas." Hanna said smiling softly at her baby sister who was in Nathan's arms and he was sitting next to Maxie on the couch. "Yeah us either, or that next year she'll be two, like where did the time go?" Maxie asked. "I don't know, I mean it's already Marion's first Christmas and before too long she'll be a year old." Hanna said. "Yeah I can't believe it either, Spence and Toby have quite the little family and I think they've been doing a great job, which doesn't surprise me at all." Maxie said. "Yeah me either." Hanna said. "So are you and Caleb going to be getting together with the others tomorrow evening like you did last year?" Maxie asked.
"I'm not a hundred percent sure about that yet, I'll have to double check with Spence because I know that she wanted to try and get us all together like last year but this is Marion's first Christmas and of course we wouldn't blame them if they just wanted to have some private family time." Hanna said and Maxie nodded. "Yeah that's completely understandable if they decide to do that." She said. "Yeah, okay I should probably go check on Georgie." Hanna said standing up. "Yeah good idea, she's been in her room for quite a while, she's probably just busy playing with her toys but I'm sure she'd love to play with her big sister." Nathan said. "Yeah, I'll be right back." Hanna said before walking to her little sister's bedroom and Maxie smiled to herself before looking back at Nathan. "You know I think that tomorrow is going to be another great Christmas." She said and he nodded in agreement. "You know I think that you're right about that." He said before kissing her forehead gently and she kissed him back.
Back at Jason and Sam's Penthouse
"I think this looks pretty good, if I do say so myself." Sam said as she put another piece of candy on the gingerbread house, her and Emily Scout were decorating one side and Jason and Danny were decorating the other.
"Our side's looking pretty good too." Jason said. "Yeah, but I think that Sad could use some lessons on his decorating skills." Danny said. "Hey you know that. Not very good at this stuff." Jason said and Sam laughed. "Oh we know." She said and Jason looked at her. "Well thank you for that." He said sarcastically and they both laughed. "Okay Danny do you want me to help you out? At least some extra supervision?" Sam asked. "Hey I'm supervising pretty well over here." Jason said. "I'm not denying that I was just checking." Sam asked and Emily laughed. "Oh you think this is funny baby girl?" Jason asked. "Well it kinda is." Sam said laughing and Jason playfully rolled his eyes. "A little help over here couldn't hurt." Danny said. "Yeah he isn't wrong." Jason said laughing a little. "Okay hang on a second, we're just about finished over here anyway." Sam said before putting the finishing touches on her side and then she stood up and walked over to the boys' side and handed Emily to Jason and then started to help Danny and Jason couldn't help but smile watching them.
Back at Spoby's House
"You know I'm really proud of you Tobes." Spencer said as she as she put the tray of chocolate chip cookies into the oven. "And why's that?" Toby asked her curiously. "Oh I think you know, because you have managed not to eat any of the gingerbread cookies." Spencer said as she walked over to him and sat down on the stool next to him. "Again, that was only one time that I accidentally ate all of them, I do have self control you know." Toby said and Spencer nodded. "Of course I know that, I know that you can wait until tomorrow to actually eat some." She said smiling softly at him and he smiled back at her. "You know that I really do enjoy helping you make Christmas cookies every year, and not just because sometimes you need a taste tester." Toby said and Spencer laughed.
"I enjoy you helping me, and you know I was thinking about something." She said. "What's that?" Toby asked her curiously. "That eventually Marion will be able to help us and it'll be our special Christmas Eve tradition." Spencer said smiling at him. "You know I love the sound of that." Toby said smiling back at her. "Me too, you know I'm surprised that she's actually still napping and letting us have the time to finish these cookies." Spencer said laughing softly. "Yeah me too, but she's a good girl, just like her mother." Toby said and Spencer blushed. "I love you." She said smiling at him. "I love you more." Toby said smiling softly at her before kissing her and Spencer happily kissed him back, until the timer on the oven went off.
"Seriously that was terrible timing." Spencer said sighing and Toby laughed. "Yes it was, but still you should probably go get those out of the oven." He said and she nodded. "Yeah, hold that thought though." Spencer said smirking at him before getting up and going over to get the chocolate chip cookies out of the oven and Toby smiled softly to himself watching her.
Later That Night
At Lulu and Dante's House
Lulu, Dante, Ali, Chase, Valerie, Charlotte and Rocco we're all in the living room.
"I for one am glad that you didn't have to work today." Ali said smiling at Chase. "Well of course not, Val and I both got the day off because it's Christmas Eve." Chase said. "Yeah but my Uncle Lucky had to go in today." Ali said. "Which is a shake for Elizabeth and the kids, but I'm glad that your dad didn't have to go in today either." Lulu said smiling at Dante. "Well you know I always make sure that I get the holiday off, even though crime doesn't really take a break for the holidays, they must've needed an extra detective to come in and work instead because you know that Anna wouldn't have asked Lucky to come in otherwise with it being Christmas Eve." Dante said and Lulu nodded. "Yeah I know that, well I'm just glad that we're all here together right now." She said smiling at him and he smiled back at her. "I couldn't agree with you more." Ali said smiling at her parents. "And we're glad that you could make it Valerie." Lulu said smiling softly at her. "Of course, you guys are basically the only family that I have here in Port Charles and there isn't anywhere else I'd rather be right now." Valerie said happily.
"You know I think Rocco and Charlotte are enjoying their presents." Ali said smiling at her siblings who were playing with their new toys. "Yeah, and I know that they wish that they could open another present but they know the rules." Lulu said. "Only one Present on Christmas Eve." Charlotte said looking over at them before turning back to her present. "Exactly." Lulu said smiling at her daughter. "Well just think how happy they're going to be tomorrow." Valerie said. "Yeah I know, you know sometimes I kiss when Ali was that age but she's grown into a beautiful and smart young woman." Lulu said smiling at Ali. "Well thank you Mom, who you think I got that from?" Ali said smiling back at her. "You know your mom's right though, you are very beautiful." Chase said and Ali blushed a little. "Well thank you for that, handsome." She said smiling at him before kissing him and he wrapped his arms around her and kissed her back and Lulu smiled softly watching the happy couple.
At Elizabeth and Lucky's House
Elizabeth was in the living room tidying up a little bit when the front door opened and she turned around and was pleasantly surprised to see Lucky standing there, she smiled softly at him and he smiled back at her.
"You're home." Elizabeth said happily before running into his arms and he happily hugged her back. "Yeah I'm home, how was the Christmas party for the kids at GH?" Lucky asked her as they pulled apart from each other. "It was good, and the boys had a good time and Aria and Cam helped out." Elizabeth said. "Didn't Aria have the day off like you did?" Lucky asked. "She did, but she decided to come help out." Elizabeth said. "Well that was nice of her." Lucky said. "Yeah it was a good day, but I'm really glad that you're home, I missed you." Elizabeth said smiling at him. "I missed you too." Lucky said before kissing her forehead. "I know that the kids will be happy to see you." Elizabeth said. "Where are they?" Lucky asked. "Upstairs." Elizabeth said. "Well then let's go upstairs." Lucky said smiling at her. "Yeah let's go." Elizabeth said smiling back at him and he grabbed her hand and then they walked upstairs together.
Back at Jason and Sam's Penthouse
"You know today was pretty close to perfect." Sam said as she walked down the stairs with Jason. "Yeah it was." Jason said as they walked over to the couch and sat down. "But you know tomorrow will be even better." Sam said looking at him. "Because Spence, Toby, Marion and Maggie will be here." Jason said and Sam nodded. "Of course, and this will be our granddaughter's first Christmas." She said smiling. "Yeah, I can't believe how fast the time has gone, I mean before we know it it'll be March and then she'll be one." Jason said.
"Yeah, I just can't stop thinking about how proud I am of Spence, her and Toby are definitely great parents." Sam said. "Well of course, who do you think they got it from?" Jason said smiling softly at her and she smiled back at him. "Okay I was thinking since we managed to get all the presents wrapped ahead of time this year and since the kids are all sleeping that maybe we could watch a movie or something." Sam said and Jason nodded. "Yeah I think that sounds perfect." He said and she smiled at him before kissing his cheek and then she grabbed the TV remote and turned the TV on and then he wrapped his arms around her pulling her closer to him and she laid her head on his chest and he kissed her forehead gently and she smiled up at him.
Back at Spoby's House
In Their Bedroom
Spencer was laying in bed reading a book and waiting for Toby to come back from putting Marion in her crib and Maggie was curled up in a ball by her feet, she smiled softly to herself as she thought about how wonderful of a Father Toby is. A few minutes later the door to the bedroom opened and Spencer put her book on her nightstand and then she looked at Toby who had just walked back in the room, and he was holding Marion in his arms who smiled at her. "Someone wants to sleep in here with us tonight." Toby said smiling softly at her. "Yeah I can see that." Spencer said smiling at them and Toby walked over to his side of the bed and he laid next to Spencer and Marion happily curled up on his chest and then reached her little hand out to Spencer. "Hi my baby girl," she said as she put her finger out so Marion could grab it. "You definitely have your daddy wrapped around your finger don't you." She said smiling as she kissed her forehead. "And I'm not complaining about it." Toby said smiling and Spencer laughed softly. "I'm not either, it's pretty adorable." She said. "Yeah, and you know moments like these are my favorite." Toby said smiling at her. "Yeah mine too." Spencer said happily. "Tomorrow is going to be perfect." Toby said. "Yeah it is, our baby girl's first Christmas." Spencer said smiling. "Yeah, seriously where did the time go?" Toby said. "I have no idea, I know I've said this about a million times but I don't care, I just want you to know how much I treasure this family, our family and I wouldn't trade it for anything else in the world." Spencer said as she stroked his cheek with her thumb and he smiled at her. "I know that, and I wouldn't either." He said before kissing her forehead.
"I love you so much Tobes." Spencer said.
"I love you so much more baby girl." Toby said smiling at her before kissing the top of her head and Spencer smiled at him and then they both looked down at Marion who had happily fallen asleep on Toby's chest and then they both looked back at each other and smiled.
