Jeongguk sighed for the nth time that day, drinking his hot chocolate without actually tasting it. He looked out of the window, being met with the cars and the rain.
When was the last time he felt so sad because of someone? He couldn't quite remember that, actually. Maybe when a childhood friend of his moved out when he was just a kid, but he was still too young to actually feel the pain, the real sadness.
But now? Now that he was a grown man, now that his feelings were strong and clear? He felt like he was dead in the inside.
In the last few days, almost two weeks, he kept scrolling through Instagram, stopping on Taehyung's profile, opening his dms and then closing the app. He didn't know why, but he couldn't text him. He didn't know what to say, he wanted to apologize but also hear some apologies. He wanted to talk to Taehyung, so bad, he missed his voice and his face.
He finished his drink, still looking outside of the window of the cafè. He was supposed to be with Jin but the man had said he was busy at the last moment and the younger was now sad and also alone.
He was too focused on his own thoughts to hear the waiter greeting a new costumer who just came in.
The costumer said something and then started to walk. Jeongguk didn't pay attention to it, until someone stopped in front of his table.
Jeongguk frowned, looking at the man, but when he saw his face he suddenly frozed. Was it a dream?
- Ggukie, I'm so sorry -
Taehyung was clearly ready to talk for an hour or more, but fuck it. Jeongguk suddenly stood up, grabbed the boy's arm and tugged him into a hug. He held him tightly, closing his eyes and smiling weakly just when the body in his arms relaxed, hugging him back.
- I'm sorry - Taehyung repeated, hiding his face in the crook of Jeongguk's neck. The younger shook his head - it's fine, Tae, it's fine -
He knew they had a lot of stuff to talk about, but in that moment he just wanted to enjoy the heat that Tae's body radiated, smelling his nice scent and feeling is breath on the skin. God, how badly he missed him.
- When did you arrive? - Jeongguk asked, loosening a bit the embrace. The older smiled - an hour ago -
Jeongguk lowered his gaze and noticed the luggage left near the table.
Taehyung blushed - umh, I'll go to Jimin's to leave my stuff there later -
- Jimin? - the younger asked, frowning.
- Yeah, I guess I'll sleep there or... -
- Oh, shut up. You're sleeping at mine -
Taehyung shook his head - I can't, I guess you are still mad at me -
Jeongguk rolled his eyes - it's fine, Tae. We have stuff to talk about but there's no way you aren't sleeping at mine. We are ok, mh? -
Taehyung nodded and got out of Jeongguk's grip, blushing as he noticed the people staring at them.
- Ok then. Can we go and cuddle now? -
