Abigail parked out in front of the middle school building and stood along the side of her car with Lauren. Kids ran around the lot looking for their parents and parents stood around bored as if picking up their child was the last thing they wanted to be doing. "There's Mr. Hearst. Do you think he'll recognize me?" Lauren pulled her shirt down ever so slightly in hopes it'd show her cleavage just enough. Abigail shook her head but laughed. She too found Mr. Hearst absolutely panty-dropping. All of the high school girls did. He was a young, single, attractive male. A few tattoos littered his arms and he had just enough muscles.

"I think, even if he did recognize you, you wouldn't have a chance. No one would. He is out of everyone's league." Abigail sighed as she watched him direct a child from his class to her mother. The mother only caring about being able to touch his bicep. Lauren shrugged.

"I think if anyone had a chance, it'd be either you or I. Definitely not one of these cougars. Gosh they can't even keep their paws off of him, how unprofessional!" Abigail giggled and looked at Lauren.

"Says the one who pulled her shirt down. Lauren, you look beautiful. Now, look. There's Mala. With Mr. Hearst. . ." Abigail trailed off as the male got closer to her. Her heart began beating faster. An uneasy and dangerous vibe weighing down on her. Lauren gripped her arm, also feeling something, but not the same thing as Abigail. Lauren felt his authority and it made her jittery. She couldn't remember the last time she was around so much authority unless she counted Lucifer, but she was thirteen and anyone older than her at that time was a God to her. Abigail also felt the authority but it did little to her as it did to Lauren. It was almost like a challenge to her. She felt a need to be the one in charge. Her eyes narrowed and a feeling of dominance forced its way out of her. She couldn't explain why it was happening.

"Mala, how was school?" Abigail bent down to the thirteen-year-old girl's level and pulled her into a hug. Mala was like Thomas and she knew who Abigail was to her, but Thomas had told her to never talk about it. She felt like a princess all because she was being hugged by a goddess. A literal queen. She smiled before hugging her back and letting the fire of her touch soak into her skin.

"It was good! Aside from being bad and chopping my hair, I had an overall good day. Mr. Hearst here taught me how to play the guitar in music class today!" Her smile was wide and she was missing a front tooth. Mala glanced at her teacher who was staring down at Abigail. An uneasy feeling settled in Malas's stomach. Lauren also noticed the intensity of his stare on her best friend. She narrowed her eyes, her gut was uneasy with the man before her now. She decided to get them away as fast as she could. If Lauren felt it, then she knew Abigail had most certainly felt it and Abigail was a ticking time bomb.

"Abbs, are you ready? We have to go and fetch everything for the weekend." Lauren put her hand on Abigail's shoulder bringing her out of her daze. She stood up and grabbed Malas's hand. That same dominant feeling inside her was peeled and it made her head dizzy. She felt powerful, but the dark and dangerous vibe that made her uncomfortable had vanished immediately after her surge.

"Yes, I'm ready. Come on, Mala. You're staying with us for the weekend. Girls night!" Mala felt excitement, but her stomach still didn't feel right. She felt the burning gaze of her teacher as she walked hand in hand with her queen.

The car was started and Mala closed the door as she climbed in staring out the heavily tinted window. Her eyes had not once left her teachers who had still been looking at Abigail in a hunger filled way. It chilled Mala to the bone and she knew it was something she would need to tell Thomas. He would always tell her to tell him what happens with Abigail.

"Mala, what did I tell you?" Thomas looked at his little sister who was bouncing on her heels in anticipation. She was going out for the day with Abigail to go dress shopping for the daddy-daughter dance. Abigail said she was buying the dress for her.

"If anything happened or were to happen to Abbs, I'm to report it to you immediately so you can tell Lucifer. No harm must come to our queen. Any uneasy feeling I get I must tell you." Her brown eyes looked up at her brother who nodded with a smile. Thomas adored his sister and he was glad that Abigail loved her too. He knew that Mala loved having the queen as a friend, whether she knew it or not. It was an honor all in itself.

"Good. Now have fun. And remember to never tell her about anything."

The memory faded as the car pulled away and trees began to pass. Mala glanced at Lauren who was speaking to Abigail in a hushed tone. She began to concentrate on what they were saying. "Something was off with Mr. Hearst."

Abigail glanced away from the road and looked at Lauren with a frown before nodding her head slightly. "Yea, I'm not sure what, but I felt it. I also felt this sudden need for dominance and I got dizzy. It went away now that we left, but my body was on overdrive back in the parking lot. I wanted to explode on him." Lauren hummed in response before thinking of another conversation to have. Abigail's phone began to buzz and Lauren looked to see who it was. She huffed when Abigail declined it once again.

"So you're really not going to call him? He's called you twice already. Do you think he'll be mad?" Lauren sounded curious as she asked Abigail about talking to Lucifer.

Mala bit her lip. Abbs wasn't calling Lucifer? She could already imagine the anger that emitted from the King. That was a side she had never wanted to see and the thought of it made her shiver. She looked at the human girl that she called Queen and wondered how such a simple being could calm such a powerful and angry creature. Then again, she wasn't even sure Abigail was a human. "I don't always have to talk to him, Lauren. I told you. I'm seventeen years old. I want to go out and have fun! I want to go to a party for once in my life. I haven't even had my first kiss! I want to do all of that. I can't when I'm wasting my time talking to him. I'll see him when he comes home. In the meantime, I'm going to live my life how I want too. Like a normal high school girl." Abigail was agitated. She didn't want to tie her life down and do nothing. She wanted to experience things.

"Abbs, you've never wanted to do this before. You're rebelling so quickly. Okay, I will support it. How about next weekend? Landon Greene is having a party up at his lake house and the whole school was practically invited. Granted he is from our rival school, it'll be fun. Let's go!" Abigail thought about it before she smiled and agreed. "We'll get you your first kiss next Friday."

Kiss? Mala thought to herself. What exactly was a kiss? Her gut and mind told her she needed to tell Thomas what Abigail and Lauren were saying, but her heart didn't want her too. She saw a young girl who wanted to experience life. Even though she was thirteen herself, beings like Mala matured faster. It was in their DNA. The car pulled up at Abigail's house and all three of the girls rushed out of the car and into the door of the house. It was quiet, meaning her mom wasn't home yet.

"Mala, Lauren, and I are going to run upstairs and grab a few things for the weekend. You can wait in the living room!" Abigail yelled as she and Lauren raced up the stairs, taking two at a time. Mala listened to them giggle and then the sound of a door closing. She pulled out her phone and called her brother.

"Mala, what's up? Did the girls get you?" His voice was quiet and husky. She realized that he must have been napping.

"I'm fine, they got me. Thomas, something weird happened. . ." She heard the sound of shuffling and then the sound of a computer call happening. She sighed, knowing he was bringing Lucifer into this.

This had better be good. I'm pissed off as it is, Thomas. Why the fuck isn't she answering me? Mala cringed. Lucifer's voice was deep and scary. She squeaked slightly. Mala? Do you have your sister on this call?

Thomas sighed into the phone. "Lucifer, she has information on Abigail. She's with her right now. We've only got so much time before she needs to hang up." Lucifer huffed but let Mala speak.

"My teacher, Mr. Hearst was staring at her today when she came to pick me up. It was a hungry stare, and it sent chills down my spine. Something wasn't right. I can't explain what it was, but he was weird with her. I never sensed anything with him before, but as soon as he saw her, it was like something in him snapped. And then in the car, I overheard her say to Lauren that she had a weird feeling about him and the sudden surge of dominance overcame her, but it had gone away almost immediately after getting away from him. Also, what is so special about a first kiss?" Thomas inhaled sharply. He began to feel very sick at the mere question.

Please tell me that it was directed as a question for your brother and not for me, child. Lucifer's blood began to boil and every little thing that could happen to Abigail ran through his head. Mala shifted on her feet.

"No, I'm afraid it was just a general question. Abigail said she wanted to live her last year as a normal fun senior girl and experience everything." The sound of giggles echoed at the top of the stairs and mala began to panic. "I have to go, she's coming!"

She wants to wha- Mala ended the call and sat down fast. Her eyes on her phone, pretending like she was texting. When Lauren entered the room she looked up. "Hey, we ready?"

Thomas sat on his bed holding his stomach. He could feel his lunch beginning to come up as he stared at the computer screen. Lucifer was sat at his desk, fuming. "She wants to do what? Tell me I didn't hear that right." His voice was deathly low. His once green eyes were now a red so bright that they glowed in the darkroom that he sat in. Thomas was scared. He didn't want to repeat what was said. "Repeat it, Thomas. What. Did your sister. Say?"

"Abigail wants to experience normal high school luxuries. Parties, boys, kissing, must I go on? Really? I would assume that's why she isn't calling you. It's girls night and she doesn't want to waste time so she thinks, talking to you when she could be enjoying herself." Thomas spoke fast and shyly looked up at the screen. Lucifer was leaned back in his seat, his sleeves rolled up to his elbows and his top button was popped open. "What do you want me to do, sir? I tried to convince her to call you. She shook her head. Lately she's been feeling rebellious. I think it has to do with what's going on at home."

Lucifer sat his ankle over his knee, his black dress pants pulling up slightly at the movement. "You mean the men her skank of a mother keeps bringing home? I'm aware. Why would she rebel against that though? She has everything she needs. I give her everything." He rubbed his jaw a little before looking back at Thomas who was quaking in his spot.

Thomas shrugged. "What should we do about Mr. Hearst? Mala's teacher? Abigail is feeling her powers and she isn't even in tune with her true self yet. You guys aren't bonded completely, which means he's a serious threat if she felt her dominance push through." Lucifer leaned forward and put his feet firmly on the ground.

"I want you to order me a ticket for first thing tomorrow morning. I'm on a plane headed straight home." The call ended and Thomas immediately bought a plane ticket and sent it to Lucifer. Glancing at the clock, he realized that Lucifer would be boarding a plane in three hours his time. Fear raked Thomas' body at the thought of being close to him again. His four-year vacation from his boss was coming to a dreadful end.

Abigail sat on the couch and watched as Mala tried to braid Lauren's hair. She knew it would be hard for the girl, but not as hard as she was making it seem. "Mala, three strands. Go under the middle then repeat the other side. It's a pattern." Lauren was getting anxious as she sat there and watched her redo the braid for the up-tenth time. "Abbs, you're phone is ringing. It looks like Thomas." Abigail stood up and grabbed her phone before stepping outside to answer the call.

"Hello?" The cool night air pricked her skin and shivers raked her body. She glanced at her watch, noticing that it was already four in the morning. How had she lost track of time so easily?

"Abigail? I wasn't sure if you'd be awake." She gave a breathless laugh before sitting on the porch swing. The stars giving off light that danced with her as she swung.

"The other two are doing each other's hair. And you know I can't sleep without him. What are you doing awake at four in the morning?" She heard him sigh. She knew he wasn't much of a sleeper and neither was she. It was one of the many reasons that they were so close. Abigail hardly ever slept. It was nearly impossible for her to fall asleep without having Lucifer around. That was something that was always true, even when they were young.

"Stressing. I've got to be honest with you, Abbs. Lucifer boarded a plane at three in the morning his time. It's nine in London right now, which means he left six hours ago. That leaves two more hours until he lands in New York. And you know he'll fly down from New York which will only be maybe thirty minutes at the maximum. He's coming here and he isn't happy at all." Abigail sat up slowly, her eyes on a man that stood at the end of the driveway. The street light creating a shadow on his face.

She had heard everything Thomas had said and chills ran through her body at the thought of Lucifer, but fear laced through her bones as she watched the unmoving man. "Abigail you there?" She felt a cold feeling envelope her body.

The man watched her as she sat still. Her free hand gripping a knife that Lucifer had gifted her on her sixteenth birthday. She kept it on her at all times. It was sent from London and apparently very deadly, now useful if she were to use it. "Thomas-" she whispered. "There's a man watching me." Thomas became quiet and his instincts took over. His house was down the street from Lauren's, but his demon was released when his queen was in a threatening state and he found himself stood quietly behind the light pool. Red was all he saw as he watched the man slowly make his way towards Abigail who stood still. Eyes glowing a bright blue. Her gaze flickered towards Thomas, a gasp leaving her mouth, but he wasted no time in launching himself at the man and overpowering his opponent.
