"Alright Blackbeard," you hear Dave call out, "let's get going."
You pick up your bag and head out, as you head out the front door, you punch Dave in the arm.
"Keep going on like that and I'll keelhaul you," you grin.
"Alright Hook, calm down."
You roll your eyes as you make your way down, Dave right beside you. You really didn't feel like going to school, your eye was killing you and you got jack all sleep last night. You lean your head against Dave's shoulder, which he just let happen. You were grateful for that, because if he had shoved you off, you'd probably just collapse.
"Hey, you two!"
You turn your head to see Karkat, Jade, Rose and John walking towards you both.
"Good to see you're still up and running, (y/n)." John grins.
"Surprisingly I am."
The six of you begin to walk to school, chatting to one another.
"So, uh, (y/n)," Karkat begins, "I was wondering if you'd like to go out to that café after school."
"Yeah, I'd like that," you smile, nudging his side, "you're really excited to date a pirate, huh?"
"Ugh, yeah, whatever you say."
You grin, "well, that's good to hear."
You watch as Karkat's face reddens, his shoulder's going rigid. He lets out an angry growl before storming off into the school yard, probably to his class.
"Alright, I'll see you guys later." You wave.
The others say their goodbyes and head their own ways.
You head towards your home class, where you hoped Feferi and Eridan were.
Luckily, as soon as you enter the room, your eyes land on the pair.
Once Feferi sees you, she frowns, "(y/n), you really did hurt your eye."
"Yeah," you shrug, "but what can you do about it."
You take a seat in between Feferi and Eridan.
"Morning Eridan," you greet.
"Uh, yeah, mornin."
You could tell something was up from him from the get-go, but you leave it, not wanting to push it. You sit through the boring home class, keeping quiet and trying not to fall asleep.
Once the class finished you hoped up and got ready to head to your next class. Just before you could leave, Eridan walks up to you.
"After school we're going out, okay." And with that he walks off.
You try to catch up with him to tell him you'd already made plans, but he was already gone from your sight.
'Oh boy.'

You were waiting by the front of the school. During the day you had tried to find Eridan, but couldn't spot him anywhere. So when you see both of them heading towards you, you almost panic.
"Hey, you ready to go?"
"Hey (y/n)."
The pair looks at each other, both clearly confused.
"Okay, so I know this is confusing," you explain, "Karkat asked me to go out this morning and then shortly after that happened Eridan asked me out, so yeah... I'm sorry."
They stared at each other for what felt like eternity Karkat spoke up.
"Fine, we'll all go."
You were surprised by the response, but nod.
"Sounds good."
You were happy that they got along; you really didn't feel like arguing. You take each of their hands and begin to practically drag them along, excited to get to the café. For a moment you thought that they'd pull away, but both of them tighten their grip and keep pace with you.
"I hope they have a chocolate cake at the café," you hum, "I'm really craving it, I must admit."
"I just want a triple shot coffee." Karkat grumbles.
"I just hope the food tastes decent." Eridan sighs.
You nudge Eridan, "it tastes great, I promise."
"I sure hope so."
You just roll your eye playfully, a smile tugging on your lips.
You were happy to be going out with the pair, but honestly you were just really hungry.
The weather was nice, warm but the cool wind stopped you from overheating. Not many cars were driving past, so it was peaceful. The sweet scent of the nearby flowers filled your nose. The pain in your eye had eased up from this morning, so much that it was no longer a bother.
Today was such a nice day compared to yesterday, so maybe it was all of the good luck that was supposed to occur yesterday. It finally reached you, leading to today being the best day you've had in a while.
