- Y/n grew up in a small village in a small forest with her parents and her older brother. Her father and brother would go out to chop firewood and she would help her mum with the small stall they own, which sells the vegetables they grow. In her free time, she would run her regular route around the village, or beg her brother to show her how to swing an axe.
- Soon, her mother got ill and got sent away to the nearest town doctor, just to only die along the way. Her father was sad of course, but stayed strong for his kids. Y/n took up the role of a mother and carried the family with housework and farming.
- Soon, a demon attacked the village and soon came for them. Their father stayed behind to fight off the demon, while she and her brother ran into the forest. However, the demon caught up with them and her brother urges her to run far away from here while he fights the demon. She fought to stay with him by was pushed him.
- So she ran as quickly as her legs could, she ran up the mountain near her village and never looked back. She was then faced with another demon in the mountains. She couldn't take it anymore and threw rocks at the demon, knocking it down. She then proceed to smash its head with a stone as tears flow down her cheeks. Sunrise soon came, and she cried on her knees, hugging a tree, shouting her brother's name. Soon enough, Kagaya Ubuyashiki's wife found you, took you to Oyakata, who offered to take you under his wing and provided you with a trainer.

''Y/n.'' Amane Ubuyashiki said. ''Yes?'' Y/n answered, looking up from her book. ''Would you like to follow me? I'm heading to a woods to find a potential swordsmen,'' she suggested. ''Yes please.'' y/n smiled, she closed her book in excitement and ran up to Amane's side. She smiled at the little girl's behaviour and proceed to walk. Y/n followed closely behind her, eager to see where they're headed. It has been a long time since y/n have exited the Mansion and was glad she could finally return to the outside work for a while.
Kagaya and Amane sees her as their own child, they taught her the history of the demon slayers corps' history together with their children. They feed her and took her in as their own. Y/n was the closest to Kiriya Ubuyashiki since their age was the closest (let's pretend he is older than he is) ( and that she finds the other siblings a little creepy). Nonetheless, she loves them all and considers them her own siblings.
An hour later, they reached a small woods next to a village. '' Amane-san? Is this where the swordsmen you're looking for lives?'' Y/n asked curiously as she peers into the woods. ''That's right Y/n,'' Amane stated before walking into the woods. y/n was hesitant but swiftly followed her in.
After walking for a few minutes, they approached a little hut in the middle of the woods. Y/n surveys the area and glanced at two small graves beside the hut. She looked at it with pity in her eyes. ''They must be out chopping wood,'' Amane stated, looking at a small pile of chopped firewood. Looking at the pile, Y/n feels a wave of memories washing into her. Tears threatened to escape through her violet eyes, however, she held it in, her past isn't something to cry about anymore.
''Yuii-chan! Wait for me!'' a cry rang from within the woods. The pair turned to face the direction the sound came from and waited. Soon enough, a young boy, slightly shorter in size of Y/n, emerged. He wore a frown and stern mint eyes. His gaze met Amane and Y/n. Shocked, he continued to wear his frown on his face, pointing at them, he shouted. ''You again??? I told you to leave us alone!''
Y/n frowned at his disrespect towards Amane, wanting to tell him off. However, Amane's calm expression and aura told her not too, thus Y/n hed her tongue. Amane bowed before him before stating ''I'm sorry to disturb you, but I was hoping you did change your minds.'' The stood there angrily as he place the pile of wood he was carrying onto the ground.
''Yuii-chan!'' A small voice rang from behind the boy. Slowly, a small figure emerged from behind the boy. ''Yuiichirou?? She's here again?'' The other boy stated. Y/n observed the other two. They looked the same, twins perhaps?
''Yes Muichiriou...And I have told her to get the fuck lost but now she's back..and she brought a girl.'' The older one state, glaring daggers at Y/n, making her frown at his language. ''Yuiichirou...'' The smaller boy called, placing his own pile of wood down as he stares at the two women. ''Maybe they just want to talk-'' the smaller boy continue but was rudely cut off by his brother.
''Talk? I already told her no! There is no way we're becoming swordsmen! Get the hell out of here lady! Don't ever come back and bother us!'' The older boy scolded before storming off into the hut. Y/n returned daggers at the older boy as she stared at his form, not noticing the smaller boy approaching the two.
''I'm sorry for my brother's behaviour.'' he apologised before bowing. Amane smiles gratefully and nodded. As the boy returned to his standing form, his mint eyes met y/n violet ones. They remain eye contact for another second before y/n broke it by turning her gaze to the grass beneath her. ''We should be heading back,'' Amane smiled, ''I wish you two safety.'' she continued before nodding and walking off. Y/n stood rooted for a while, debating whether to talk to the boy.
''Y/n,'' Amane called. ''Yes!'' Y/n answered before running after her.

The rest was a blurry, a few days later, Kagaya informed the family that something happened to the two brothers in the woods. Immediately, Amane, Y/n and two of his daughters hurried over to the small hut with medical supplies. The sight was unbearable, there was blood all over the floor, the body of the brothers were too covered in blood.
The four started to patch the brothers up, however, they knew that the older one didn't make it. Y/n turned her focus to the smaller boy who was barely holding onto life. She knew it was a demon attack, the aura in the hut was filled with it. Slowly, a single tear drips down her cheeks.
