"Jan!" Evan called.
Sweat covered my palms. My breath was quick and heavy. Evan sat up hovering over me, with worry in his eyes.
"Wha-What?" I sat up.
His green eyes met mine.
"Babe, you were screaming and crying in your sleep." His sighed.
"I-I had a nightmare." I let the tears fall freely down my face. I kept shaking vigorously. "I just want someone to listen to me!"
Sweat and tears dripped down my face. Evan took my hand.
"Talk to me, baby."

Evan's P.O.V
"Fourth period. By the bench outside?" She asked again. Even though she's annoying, I love how cute she's being. At a time like this, she just needs comfort.
"Of course, Jan. I'll be there." My arms circled around her waist instinctively, pecking her cheek.
"Yay." She quietly cheered.
Amelia's P.O.V
I felt the smoky sensation fill my lungs and linger around in my chest.
This is the answer I've been looking for. Feeling depressed and lonely, doesn't happen anymore. I kicked my foot against the wall of the school, leaning against it, inhaling deeply.
I smiled.
Every chance I get, lighting a cigar is the first thing that pops into my mind. Ever since I started smoking, I've been feeling more.. care free. I haven't been home in a while, I haven't been eating. I'm hooked on these.
"Amelia, where have you been?" My mother would ask.
"Over at Jan's, finishing up some homework, that's all." I would respond, head outside, light one and do my thing, splash on some perfume, and do the same about every 30 minutes.
I don't know how my mother would react. My father died when I was 14, heart attack.
Not feeling pleased yet, I threw the cigarette on the ground.
Then, lit another one.
"Puff away..." My conscious me.
