Why Run, When You Can Hide?

One Way Mirror

"Not real Jasper, not real" I tell myself, panting. I almost never dream, but when I do, it's always the same. I'm siting in a room, and the walls start closing in on me. I'm screaming, watching the mirror at the other end of the room, knowing it's the kind that they have at police stations. They can see you, you can't see them. I don't know who's watching me, but they're laughing.
I lift myself out of bed with shaky arms and look at the clock. 5am, just like always. Walking over to the mirror I appraising myself, pushing hair out of my face and rubbing the smudged eyeliner from under my eyes.
I wasn't really in the mood to start my day now, or at all for that matter, but it's not like I had a choice. I picked some clothes without looking at them and put them on roughly, jamming my arms into the sleeves. I sighed as I looked at what I was wearing, a black velvet skirt and a red long sleeve. Not too shabby, I thought to myself. I rushed out of my room and down the stairs, probably waking my mother. She had to work anyway, so who cares.
