I hate chickens.
We had the oaf again for class today. Father still hasn't had him fired yet. Dumbledore's always making things difficult. The oaf was making a giant fool of himself as always, stumbling over his words like a dolt. The chicken was already eyeing me off like I was dinner. It was coming for me. So I stood at the back. I'll just use the Gryffindors as meat shields when the beast comes. I'm not scared of it.
But guess who was at the front of the paddock, stupid journal! Guess who just shows up everywhere lately— or I haven't noticed it before. Merlin, just when I had stopped thinking about her for more than twenty seconds! Stupid journal, I've realised I can't stop thinking about her. I think Potter has hexed me. [must go to library for counter curse]
Anyways, where was I? Oh yeah- staring, staring, staring until he bellowed like the uneducated twat he is. "Righ' who 'ant's to go ferst-?!" My eyes might as well have been quaffles. She was right on the paddock. Just smiling at the beast! She's an idiot I tell you! An idiot and nothing more! I shot down from the back as everyone was retreating, shoving people out of the way till I reached the back of her collar, yanking her back with the others. "Idiot! What are you thinking, those chickens are mad!" I hissed at her before I noticed the closeness.
She turned, almost pressed against me. Her mouth was in a little 'o' that I wanted to attack....with my mouth- why? "Oh! Thanks Malfoy!" She smiled. SHE. KNOWS. MY. NAME. I know Potter told her and all- but she said my name! My family name! And she thanked me! Something's definitely wrong here. She stood cramped against me, still watching the chickens- not that I minded until I noticed- her against my thigh. Now I know what it feels like to be petrified. I was afraid of moving. It was much better than Parkinson trying to slide up me desperately- I had to say- the Hufflepuff was soft. And smelt like cinnamon. WHICH IS DISGUSTING!
What was worse was that I wanted to say something. I wanted to talk to her- but I couldn't think of anything. Of course, I finally thought of something smooth: "Given up on hair-pulling have we?" Merlin I'm good- Her small hands flew up to her hair, embarrassed.
It was priceless-
I don't think she quite realises the effect she has on people- I mean I looked around at all the poor fools, jealous they were! It was as if I'd taken a new step above them just by being around her.
I'm sure you can imagine my smirk, stupid journal- the one that I heard that mudblood Parvarti blabbing on about. Said it was hot or something— of course I took the compliment! Speaking of taking- I was about to grab (l/n)'s hand and rub it in all their faces- especially Potter's! You should've seen his right-dumb mug, stupid journal-! He was furious! I thought he would've had half a mind to set the mudbloods on me-
Just when my fingertips grazed her palm- class was called off. Of course. I'm going to have to talk to father about there not being enough time in these mad classes. (Y/n) was quick to move away, scurrying away to whatever class her Merlin-sent ass had to sit down in. I wanted to follow. But why? I keep asking that stupid journal- you're not helping.

Visited library for counter curses to— whatever this was. There was nothing. I'll have to interrogate Zabini later about this- it can't be feelings, that's just wrong. I did find a most interesting potion though— Amortentia. It makes people fall in love with you- how stupid! It's not like I went looking for it, stupid journal! ...If I used some of that on (y/n)- Potter would be fuming!
Zabini's here. Time to interrogate.
(A.N: sorry for the slow update, my other account has been so busy ^^; let me know if you liked this chapter! More to come!)
