——Sam—-
I spend the next few weeks healing. I hate the waiting that seems to come with my mutant abilities. It seems like I spend more time in a hospital bed then on a battlefield. Logan stuck around for a few days then he was somehow convinced I'm safe here and has returned to New York.
He's going to come back to visit with the other X-men when I'm back to normal. Normal, the concept is almost laughable nothing about my life is normal. I live with Norse gods and wield a hammer forged in Niðavellir. I fight aliens, summon daggers from thin air, and heal people. Normal no longer exists.
While I'm stuck in bed Loki's been teaching me more magic. Now that I have Mjölnir I can do the clothes changing spell we had talked about. I'm working on something special for our next mission I haven't let Loki see it yet.
Logan had given me his phone number. I'm a gen z girl I never bothered to memorize phone numbers, something I'd regretted when I was kidnapped though I never had the chance to make a phone call anyway. I'm planning to ask if Peter can tag along with the X-men when they come visit it's almost his summer break and I should be better by then. Peter's wanted to come but hasn't had the time to come visit New Asgard yet.
I'd also like to see if any of my old clothes fit. I have some normal clothes but most of my closet is Asgardian clothing meaning dresses, I need more pants and T-shirts.

Finally I'm feeling better the wound has fully healed leaving a scar I don't really mind it though it makes me look like a badass. The X-men are on their way a suitcase full of my clothes and a wall crawler from Queens in tow.
Not a day too late either because I'm behind on laundry and don't feel like wearing a dress to show everyone around Tønsberg. I already have an outfit in mind I just need to have it here to add it to the roster of clothes I can change into with the spell.
I'm bubbling with excitement to see my family after so long. I had gotten to see some of them but it had been a short interaction and there hadn't been time to talk. They'll be here before noon and will probably be jet lagged but that's ok. The only thing I want today is to see everybody. They can go straight to bed after that.
I look through my closet trying to find a dress to meet them in. I just got a text that they're about an hour out. I find something acceptable, a black half sleve dress that comes down to the knee, and rush to get ready. I put the dress on then rush into the bathroom leaving the door open and looking at myself in the mirror.
"Ok hair, what should I do with my hair?"
I brush it out. I can't help but want to look my best I hadn't seen some of them in five years and I wanted to look good.
"I wish I could get my hands on some makeup around here."
"I see no need for such alterations."
I blush, Loki stands in the doorway giving me that smile. I stutter.
"It's, uh more just for fun. Lo'."
He nods. How does he have such an extreme affect on me? I both hate and love it when he flirts, I hate it because it takes me off guard and I never really know how to flirt back, but love it in every other way.
"What should I do with this?"
I gesture to my hair.
"Stop fretting Sam, you look beautiful."
I stop repositioning it nervously in the mirror.
"Oh?"
I'm pretty sure my blush becomes three shades redder.
"Yes, now how many people did you say were coming?"
I started thinking through all of them in my head it had been tough to hear but while I was gone Jean had passed away and the professor had gone missing. I was never really close with Jean but I know It must have killed Logan. I'm trying to reserve my feelings about the professor being gone.
Realistically I think he's probably dead, he's wheelchair bound and his plane went missing while flying over Antarctica but part of me doesn't want to accept that. So those were two people who weren't coming. Who was coming was pretty much a buss full. Logan, Laura, Ororo, Domino, Bobby, Scott, Remmy, Rogue, Jubilee, Kurt, Piotr,... screw it too many.
"More than a dozen."
Luckily there's a big guesthouse they can stay in.
"Popular aren't we?"
Loki teases. I channel my inner Tony Stark. (We all have that don't we?)
"Duh! Who wouldn't love me?"
He smiles and rolls his eyes at me. I slip on a pair of black sandals and we head out to the open field near the cliff side just outside of Tønsberg we had decided this would be a good landing spot for the Blackbird. Thor's also waiting there. We look to the sky and see a black spec in the distance getting larger.
