"Chae! We're gonna be late!" I yelled from the living room. "Just give me one minute," Chaeyoung yelled back. She then walked down the stairs holding Hana by her hand. "Ah... Hana. You made mummy late again?" I asked when they reached me. The little girl just nodded and pouted.

Chaeyoung giggled and shook her head. "Let's go," she said and grabbed Hana's bag. We left our apartment and got into the lift. It's been 5 months since I was given another chance. We've been living together for the past 2 months. We would've moved in earlier, but Jimin didn't agree. After some persuading from Hana, he agreed.

"I can't wait for your birthday party today, appa!" Hana said as we got off. I smiled at her. She found out 2 weeks after Chaeyoung and I started 'dating'. And to say she was ecstatic about the news was an understatement.

"Me too! Mummy's planning it... I can't wait to see how it goes," I smirked at Chaeyoung who was blushing. She insisted that I have a party after finding out I didn't have a birthday party before. No matter how much I told her to not trouble herself, she insisted to do it. And we had a deal...

A deal Hana is too young to understand.

------------------------

"Where are you going?" I asked, breathlessly, to Chaeyoung. "Back to my table," she replied, looking for her bra. I smirked in response and chuckled, gaining her attention. "Looking for this?" I held up her bra by its straps. She gasped and tried grabbing it but failed instead.

"Don't go. It's my birthday! Keep me company," She groaned and roughly snatched her bra before putting it on. "Hana's about to come here. I don't want our daughter to see me like this," I laughed and put on my clothes. "You're right... a kiss before you go?" I pouted.

"Alright," she sighed with a frown. "Hey! Don't act like you don't like it," I said and pulled her towards me. She smiled and cupped my face. "Which is exactly why I agreed,"

She kissed me as I kissed her back. A knock on the door broke us apart in a startle. I groaned in annoyance and muttered. "This better be good," before I walked to open the door. "Hyung, Hana's here," Jungkook said and pointed downwards.

Hana ran in and jumped onto Chaeyoung. As I was about to close the door, Jungkook held my elbow. "We need to talk," he said before leaving the office. I told Chaeyoung and left the office to Jungkook, who was standing at Chaeyoung's table.

"I guess you won, huh?" Jungkook chuckled bitterly. I sighed and patted his shoulder. "Sorry for not telling you... I didn't find a good time to tell you," Jungkook just pursed his lips. "Well, treat her well, hyung. Because if you mess up again, I'll make sure she's mine,"

I smiled and hugged him, to which he returned. "I will, Kook. Thank you," He pulled away and smiled. "See you at the party," he said and left. I went back into the office to find Hana, sitting on my chair, amused that it can turn.

My eyebrows frowned. "Where's mummy, Hana?" Her tiny fingers pointed to the mini kitchen. I nodded and walked into the mini kitchen and found Chaeyoung putting Hana's lunch onto a plate. My hands snaked its way to waist and hugged her from behind to which she gasped. "Where's my lunch?" I muttered as I placed kisses on her collarbone.

"I can order it for you if you want," she replied, turning around and pulling me closer to her by my nape. I hummed. She then released herself from me before passing Hana's lunch to me. "Feed her?" she asked, with puppy eyes. I unconsciously nodded, mesmerized that Chaeyoung could do this to me. "Thanks," she pecked my lips and went out of the kitchen.

"Hana... be good to appa. I'll be right back," she said as I entered the office space again. "Where are you going?" I raised my brows. She laughed and answered. "To get our food. Be back," she waved and left the office.

I sighed and walked closer to Hana. She got off the chair before I sat on it, picking her up and placed her on my lap. "Do you like Rosie?" she asked all of a sudden. "Who's that?" I said and fed her a spoon of her meal.

"Rosie is mummy. That's her English name. So do you like Rosie?"

"Yes," I answered with no hesitation. "So why aren't you getting married?" she questioned as I gave her another spoonful of food. "It's not the right time yet, Hana," I sighed and wiped the side of her mouth. "Why?! Appa like Rosie and Rosie like appa! What's the problem?" she groaned and munch her food roughly.

"Hana," I chuckled. "Marriage... is not that easy. I really want to marry Rosie, I will. Just, not now," Hana huffed before getting off my lap, making me panic. "Hana, baby. What's wrong?" I set the spoon on the table before running to her.

"Mummy said she loves you," she said. I crouched to her level and hugged her. "I know. And I love her too,"

"Then why won't you propose?"

"Baby... it's too soon. We've been together for only 5 months,"

"Fine!" she cried. "Don't cry when someone takes Rosie away," she said. I furrowed my brows. "What do you mean?" Hana stayed silent before walking back to my chair. "Hana! What do you mean?" I asked when I reached the desk.

She looked scared, but I'm sure she wasn't scared of me. "Hana... you can trust appa, you know that, right?" she nodded. "So, tell me. What did you mean by that?"

"Jimin samchon said that mummy will get married," Hana started. "A guy came a few months back when mummy was working. Samchon said his name was Baekhyun samchon. Jimin samchon said that he'll be my new dad by the end of August,"

"And next week is the beginning of August,"

------------------------

"Who's Baekhyun?" I asked through gritted teeth to Jimin. I left the office right after lunch, telling Chaeyoung that it was a personal meeting. "Who?" Jimin gulped. I slammed the table of his office desk in the cafe. "Don't play dumb, Park Jimin! Hana told me everything!"

"Gosh... I told her not to tell anyone," he muttered. "So? Who the fuck is Baekhyun?!"

"He's no one," he said. I grabbed him by his collar. "Don't fucking test my patience, Jimin. Tell me. Or else," I roughly pushed him.

"Baekhyun is my friend. He liked Chaeyoung for a while now... before you met her," he started, holding his neck. "He was always around Chaeyoung, wherever and whenever. Chaeyoung liked him too, at that time," I hissed inwardly at that. "Then you happened. She was devastated, avoiding Baekhyun and me. We didn't know why, but one day she came home crying. Baekhyun was the first one to calm her down and she told us everything. He said to tell you about it because you were the father. And the rest is history, Tae," he finished.

"In any way possible, it was Baekhyun who called dibs on her first," Jimin scoffed. "He left to Busan after the accident, but he kept checking on her often. Whether it was secretly or through me. He stilled loved her after all this while. He came a few months back when Chaeyoung wasn't around to meet Hana. He spent his time with her and she enjoyed it. If only Chaeyoung didn't remember, Baekhyun would have been Chaeyoung's husband and Hana's father,"

I punched Jimin in the face before grabbing him again. "Whether she remembered or not... I'm still her husband and Hana's father," Jimin pushed me off him. "You may be right about being Hana's father... but you are definitely wrong about being Chaeyoung's husband. You're not married to her... and you never will be," he hissed.

He's right. I'm only with Chaeyoung as Hana's father, not her husband. If anything, that's all she could be seeing me as. Hana's father. Not that it's a bad thing, but she might only stick with me because of that label only.

"I need to meet Baekhyun," I whispered, still deep in my thoughts. "What?! No way! You're gonna kill him-"

"I need to know how he is so I can let them go,"

------------------------

Baekhyun is in front of me. Sitting while staring at his cup of coffee. I was doing the same when he spoke up. "What do you want?" he sighed. "I have work,"

"Do you love Chaeyoung?" I asked, the words tasting bitter in my mouth. "What?" he scoffed.

"Do. You. Love. Chaeyoung?" I asked, stressing each word. Baekhyun simply nodded and sighed. "I do... really much. But it doesn't matter-"

"What about Hana? Are you willing to treat her like your own?" I cut him off. "Yes," he replied almost immediately. "But it doesn't matter," he said.

"I'll let them go," I told him. Baekhyun's jaw dropped as he stuttered. "Yo-you're kidding, ri-rig-right?" I shook my head in response and sighed. "I'll tell them tomorrow... after that, they're yours," I stood up before my tears dropped. I quickly walked to my car and got in. My tears fell, one after another. In a few seconds, I was already a sobbing mess.

"She loves him and he loves her. I shouldn't come in between," I thought and drove off to the company.

I entered the office to find Hana and Chaeyoung asleep on the couch by the coffee desk. My dried eyes started watering again. "I'm sorry," I whispered.

"I really am,"

------------------------

It was already the next day. The party was amazing and fun, but I couldn't help thinking about letting them go. It really has come to this, huh. I called Jungkook to ask him to take Chaeyoung's and Hana's things out of my apartment and send it to Jimin's house. Jungkook was surprised and didn't bother hiding his disappointment before ending the call.

"Appa!" Hana ran towards me with arms stretched out. I ignored her and continued working. "Appa?" she pouted. With everything going on in my mind, I couldn't help but snap.

"What?! You're such a spoiled brat! Can't you see that I'm busy?! Get out!" Hana's eyes filled with tears as she ran out screaming for her mother. That's when I realized the grave of the situation. I couldn't help but run outside for Hana to find her with Chaeyoung.

"Hana... it's okay. Everything's gonna be fine. Promise," she tried consoling her crying daughter. Hana's cries echoed through the whole floor as some employees were looking at Hana. "Hana," I softly called. She flinched away and hid from me.

I was shocked and I could tell Chaeyoung was as well when her eyes were wide open. "Hana?" I couldn't help the tiny crack in my voice as I called my daughter. "I don't want to see you now!" she screamed. My heart clenched and broke.

I just walked back into the office with my head down. I broke down. It's hard that I have to let them go- although it was my choice- and now Hana hates me. I cried and cried, hoping that the pain will subside, but it didn't.

"Why does this hurt when it is my choice to do this?"

------------------------

"You wanted to see me?" Chaeyoung asked as she entered the room. "How's Hana?" I asked, almost immediately. "She's shocked, but she's doing fine now,"

"Look... I need to tell you something," I licked my lips and swallowed my saliva. "I'm listening," she said and sat across from me. I took a deep breath before I exhaled sharply.

"I don't think this is working out... we should end this," I spoke. Chaeyoung just stared at me blankly. "Umm... is this a joke? Because if it is, it's not funny," she laughed, dryly before seeing my expressionless face.

"It's not a joke. I think we should end us. I'm gonna hurt you and Hana... and I can't risk it," I said. "What? Of course you're gonna hurt us. You're not perfect, no one is. You can't give up on us just because of that!" her eyes that were bright now filled with tears.

"I've already asked Jungkook to clear your things from my apartment. Your things are at Jimin's now. I'm sorry, but we were never meant to be," She scoffed and slapped me across the face. "This is what I get for not listening to my brother and giving you a second chance!"

"I'm gonna ask you one last time... because I will not give you another chance anymore. Are you really done with us?" Chaeyoung asked as she stood by the door. "I'm done. I'm sorry, but I can't keep doing this," I sighed.

"Goodbye, Kim Taehyung," she walked out and slammed the door. I rubbed my face with my hands and groaned. "It's for the best... it's for the best... it's for the best..." I kept chanting in my head. "It's not for the best," I cried out as I slumped to the ground. "It's definitely not the best. I just lost them...

... and I can never get them back,"

------------------------

"This is Chaeyoung's resignation letter," Jungkook said, monotonously and bowed, leaving the room. Deja vu. It's been a few months since we broke up and she showed up until today. She didn't bring Hana to the office anymore and the space in the room seems too big for one person.

I miss them~

I placed the resignation letter on the desk and took out my phone. I've been stalking Baekhyun's social media to see if he had proposed or not... I mean it's just been a few months, right? When I was scrolling through his posts, one particular post caught my attention.

A picture of their intertwined hands with matching rings and a caption:

The best thing to hold onto all my life is your hand.

I should have known... he have waited for almost 6 years. Of course he would take the first step before someone takes her again.

I turned off my phone. Keeping it in the drawer, I just continued working.

However, the thought of them engaged has me feeling some kind of things. Sadness? Regret? Anger? Jealously? I don't know. Just then, Namjoon barged into the office.

"Why aren't you picking up your fucking phone?!" he yelled.

"What do you want?"

"Is it true? Byun Baekhyun, founder of Bae Gaze, is getting married to Park Chaeyoung? The mother of your child?!"

I nodded, unable to speak. So they're actually getting married, huh? "What happened this time?" Namjoon sighed. I dropped my pen with force.

"I let her go, okay?" I huffed. Namjoon's eyes widened. "Wha- why?!" he practically screamed. "She doesn't want to be with me. She's only with me because of Hana... she loves Baekhyun and I took her away from him by getting her pregnant," I cried, tears streaming down my cheeks like a waterfall.

"Did she say that?" he asked. I shook my head in response. "Then how the fuck did you come up with that theory?!" Namjoon was fuming as he grabbed me by the collar. "Jimin told me. He said that Chaeyoung liked Baekhyun before she met me,"

"You're such a fucktard!" he pushed me away. "Jimin's right! She liked Baekhyun before she met you. What about now?" I stayed silent, absorbing whatever he's telling me.

"She could have a change of heart, right?" he sighed and sat down next to me. "She got back her memories... she remembers everything... so she remembers Baekhyun, but she still gave you a chance. Why?" I hid my face in my palms. "She liked Baekhyun, Tae. But she loves you," Namjoon softly said and stood up. "It's your call now. I'm leaving," the door slammed shut right after.

I just sat there, thinking about what Namjoon just told me.

"Chaeyoung liked him too, at that time,"

"Gosh! I messed up big time!" I groaned as I recalled what Jimin said at the cafe. I slapped myself multiple times. She just liked him before I showed up... why was I too dumb to read his subtle hints?!

Without thinking twice, I ran out of the office, bumping into some employees. I spammed the down button on the lift, but ran down the stairs because it was too slow. (A/N: I'm getting deja vu writing this)

As soon as I reached the lobby, I sprinted to my car and hopped in eagerly. Starting the engine, I pressed the gas and drove off to the cafe.

I got down and barged into the cafe, finding Chaeyoung and Hana with Baekhyun. My breath hitched, watching Hana laughing happily with him. Chaeyoung was smiling watching the two interact.

I quickly walked to their table and cleared my throat, gaining their attention. Their eyes were masked with confusion as they stared at me. "Can I talk to Chaeyoung for a moment, please?" I asked Baekhyun. I could've just pulled her with me, but that's her fiance. Oh gosh, I'm about to puke.

Fortunately, he nodded and Chaeyoung walked out of the cafe, waiting for me. "What do you want?" she asked as I stood in front of her. "I- I  realized something today..."

"What?"

"That you don't like Baekhyun. You did before, but not now," She panicked, shock painting her face. "T-that's not t-true," I smiled softly. "Then why are you stuttering?"

She didn't answer me and asked. "What does it matter to you anyway? You don't want me and Hana in your life anymore," she scoffed as I sighed. "I made a mistake. When Jimin told me that I'm just Hana's father... I kinda thought you were with me just because of that," I started.

"Then he talked about Baekhyun. Said that you liked him before I took you away from him. I thought that you liked him more so, I gave you up... but I realized that you don't like him anymore," I held her hand and lucky for me, she didn't mind.

"The office is too big now... too quiet for my own sanity. It doesn't have the liveliness touch that you and Hana brought in anymore. I missed you guys. Don't tell me you didn't, cause I can't handle it,"

"What makes you so sure that I don't like Baekhyun?" she questioned which caught me off guard. I simply smiled and said.

"Because the smile you gave him can't compare to the smile you give me,"

A/N: This is not the end! I kinda lied when I said this is the last chapter... NOW! I'm gonna ask you guys a question... Who do you want Chaeyoung to end up with?
