"now are either of you under the influence, or in possession of any narcotics?" one of the officers asked us.
"no, sir." finn said.
as we were being interrogated, another officer was going through finn's car, checking to see if we had anything.

finn and y/n had spent hours laying on the blanket, talking. this meaning that haven't slept in almost eighteen hours, they gotten tired and found everything that the other said hilarious. they were laughing, loud. loud enough for the wandering officers a few minutes away to hear them.
given that it was almost four in the morning and they were sitting on a hill laughing, it looked suspicious to the officers.
"excuse me," finn and y/n turned from away from each other and saw the two officers approaching them.
"finn-"
"relax." finn whispered, squeezing y/n's had.
police made y/n nervous, finn knew that.

"you two have a good night." the officer that had interrogated us said.
"thank you." finn smiled, putting his window back up.
"jesus finn." i put my hand to my head.
"what?" he laughed. "how's this my fault?"
"you had me out there laughing like a dumbass." i chuckled.
"to be fair it is almost five, people usually get all loopy right now." finn yawned.
"oh my- finn." i turned to him.
"y/n." he said, mimicking my tone.
"my sisters going to kill me." i groaned. "I was supposed to be home by ten."
"relax, no ones dying." he started the car, laughing.
"aren't your parents worried about where you are?" i asked.
"they know i never come home on time," he said, nonchalantly. "i just text them when im on my way home."
finn was the strangest person id met. he lived a carefree life that just seemed to workout in his favor. he ran across busy streets with no crosswalks, ate the most random food combinations and did what he wanted. he was fun, just weird.
