Loud music blasted on the mansion like house, surrounded by big trees and a lonely forest. Lights flashed, bodies danced and the smell of alcohol seemed to intoxicate the air even more. Everyone one was having the night of their life as it was the biggest party of the year. Disco balls hung on the ceiling, twirling flashily.

Thee crowd was massive, most of it draped in red and white. The chill of winter didn't do anything to lessen the overgrowing heat of the big hall. Everyone was chilling, dancing and drinking their heart out.

Those who did not like to get wasted around these sweaty bodies, sat near the food stalls, bar counters, secretly appreciating these mouth watering foods and drinks.

For Casie Winston, she'd definitely choose the first one. She's not the one to sit around and do nothing.

Dancing was something she adored from childhood. Rather it be some loud party or just by herself, she never missed the chance to dance her heart out.

Every beat started with new steps, new moves which led her dug deep in the a world where there was none but her and a bright spotlight. She was the star of her own little world. Eyes shut close, lips grazed in a smile, she let her body move with the music. She flowed like the water, swayed like the wind and burned like the fire.

Keep dancing

With your body, soul and heart

I'll be watching you

From afar, siting in the dark

A sweetened smile rose on her painted yet dry lips as her eyes averted on the dark haired boy, who was smiling at her with soft charcoal eyes.

Mason was sitting at a corner, away from the crowd with glass of wine on his hand. His heart warmed to see her enjoying after a long time. These few years have been so hard for her, yet she tried to stay strong, and smile despite of bearing a heart full of agony.

I'll keep loving you

Even when we fall apart

I'll be there for you

Till the end as I was from the start

Casie motioned him to join her, her hands already waving him to come but he shook his head negatively. His smirk deepen when his eyes fell on someone behind her.

Confusion crept on her delicate features when she noticed him staring at someone. She turned back and her breath hitched when her eyes landed on the boy in front her.

Travis...

His dark attire stood out like a sour thumb yet he seemed to be blend in the crowd like a cloud of the midnight sky but that was not her concern right now. He was always the center of the attention for his tall and masculine appearance but mostly for those dark enigmatic eyes. She had to look up as he was a head taller than her. Her heart thumped faster when she felt him staring at her with those dark blue eyes.

Emotion masked under strong features, he stood their, head held high like a king.

What are you?

My heart or my home?

Tell me again

Though I already know

Her dancing stopped as shock appeared on her face. Brown eyes squinted as a frown appeared on her lips. Her shoulder tensed as he moved towards her. A thousand emotions flowed through her body when she felt him taking her slender hand into his and swaying in the slow beat.

Where are you?

In my mind or in my soul?

Tell me a thousand times

Don't want to to let you go

Heat crept on her cheeks as she felt his rough finger tips gazing her smooth skin. Instinctively she tried to pried her self from his hold but his voice stopped her.

"Don't." He snaked his arms around her waist and tugged her closer. "He is the reason for this. Don't disappoint your dear friend."

She raised an eyebrow at him. "Disappoint him or disappoint you?"

He snorted at her comment." I already told him that you won't. But he keeps dreaming impossible things. I can't let him down now can I?"

She sighed audibly. Her hands rested on his chest as they kept moving at the slow music. She almost could feel his heart beat.

They kept moving on the incredibly slow beat which was never meant to be there yet they didn't mind it at all.

She could smell the scent of black current mixed with a masculine scent of his own. It was oddly relaxing. But now's not the time to relax and dance the night away. It's the time to take the challenge and complete it.

Stupid wish of his.

There was no way to deny it. And both of them knew it.

But will she able to do it? It was just an act, right? No feelings, no emotions will be present here. But still, it was Travis Xander who she's talking about.

What do you see?

Blazing sun or the midnight star?

Don't know why,

You're standing so close yet so far

There was no doubt that he was highly attractive. From his chiseled sandy hair with naturally highlighted spikes to his strong jaw, defined cheekbones, sharp aristocratic nose but most importantly, those Tanzanite eyes, he was the example of perfection.

Any girl would die to get his mere gaze but she couldn't care less. The thing she despised most was his mysterious character. His emotions were always hidden behind a wall that was almost impossible to climb.

His aura was dark, his words were hushed. His posture spoke of power and authority. And his stare, it was blazing. Hot as the fire, captivating as a spell.

He was like the dark night with starry skies. Bright yet so dark.

He was like a rainy day with stormy clouds. Beautiful yet so dangerous.

Once you look at those deep pools of blue, you'll loose the power to avert your gaze. They were that dark, filled with haunted past, untold secrets.

Well, she forgot.

Secrets were meant to be untold.

But, mysteries are created to be solved

Wetting her dry matted lips, she tilted her head upwards finding him already staring at her. His face void of any emotions but his gaze heated enough to melt the ice.

"Are you ready?" She whispered .

"It's nothing to me. All I'm worrying about you. Don't dwell yourself on it or think that it means anything. I never cared for you nor I ever will. I am doing it because I want him to win this stupid bet and have something for himself. Nothing else."

"Good. I don't even expect anything from someone like you, so don't worry."

The corner of his lips tugged upwards. He was certainly amused.

But what will gonna happen next, will certainly be something more than just an amusement.

She breathed out when he dipped his head to her level, his hot breath fanning on her face. His azure eyes traveled from her nervous eyes to her red lips. She was biting them, those soft plump lips.

Her grip on his shirt tightened when his hand hovered over her jaw, her face, softly taking the hold of her chin in the next moment.

At this distant he could see those heavy, thick lashes of her eyes which almost seemed fake if you don't analyze them from close. They seemed to tangle at the end and curve upwards. The black line of kohl made her brown eyes spark like a dimmed star.

Maybe it was her taste of sarcasm or the childish innocence she held made her different from other girls.

She was sweet as the spring, feisty as the summer as well as chilled as the winter.

What made her perfect?

He did not know.

Her head tipped upwards, skin shivering at his touch. His thumb grazed the corner of her lips as he drew his full attention to her eyes into a hypnotic gaze.

Her breathing hitched when he tugged her even closer. Their nose touched ever so slightly causing her to gasp against her wish.

Baby I know, we are nothing

So don't bother to hold my heart

Baby we know what will happen next,

You will just tear it apart

Her eyes fluttered closed when he closed the distant between them. Lips met together, molding against each other.

Her hands were trembling unconsciously but did not go out of his notice.

He gave her the time to adjust, to breath in because the simple pressure of his mouth was not enough.

The bet was to continue this at least for one freaking minute. And if just stand there just pressing your lips to someone's mouth for one minute it will definitely feel awkward.

His lips moved against her, slowly, softly . She responded a few moments after, tilting her head to get better access.

And this wasn't bad like he expected. Though he could note out her lack of experience in this kind of act, she was a fast learner.

And the things he enjoyed most through out this kiss is the feeling of her soft lips and he almost had to repress the urge to bite them . The taste of her mouth... She strangely tasted of the chocolate cake she ate a while ago. He never liked sweet things let alone a cake flavored and iced in chocolate . But he did not mind this sweetness at all.

The girls he kissed was either too busy to get him on the bed or too dazed to return the kiss. He even can't recall their name properly.

And this one, she's been there from the beginning but he never even held her hand. She was the friend of his friend yet the stubbornness her gaze held was something to look yet.

But she was too bright and colorful for his grey vision. He hated bright things and she was not out of it. But this wasn't your usual type of loathness, it was just... something annoying.. something out of his system.

He is not used to strong headed girls. Yet, he was used to her.

But, it's just a kiss, right? Why is he thinking too much?

For her, she only knew one thing, if he didn't hold her by the waist, she would've fallen on the floor by now.

Heat kept warming her cheeks, her neck, her ears, her belly, everywhere. This kiss not was not like any other kiss she had before.

This kiss was not sweet of filled with pent up emotions or things you never dared to say to the person you love. Neither it was the outcome of lust.

But people usually kiss the person they love, right? But he's not the person she loves neither she is to him.

Kisses were meant to be special and this kiss was meant to be just an act. Maybe for her, it was something more.

This kiss was heated, framed in a thin line of passion. The way his lips moved, the way hand clasped her head closer, deepening the kiss made her shiver to the bones.

He tasted like hot wine. His lips felt hot, experienced and out of this world.

But all of this was an act right?

Maybe, maybe not.

His other hand traveled from her waist all the way up to her head to keep her still. Every touch of his hand left a trail of sensation on her body.

You are the poison I want

The pain I desire

You are the heat I need

Burning me like a fire

But the need of air made her whimper . Sixty seconds never seemed this long. She needs to breath.

He immediately broke the kiss so that she could breath in, his eyes never living her flustered features, her wet lips..her red cheeks..

Greedily sucking the air, she tried to control her hammering heart, her trembling body.. , resting her temple against his chest without her conscious.

"I still hate you." She breathed out.

"Me too." He stared at certain a smirking boy, returning the gesture.

The dark haired boy with charcoal eyes felt like he was on top of the earth. The tension between these two was choking him since they hit puberty.

Well, it feels like a heavy weight has been lifted from his chest. And, he was enjoying to play the role of the cupid.

But he wondered one thing, when will be the day when these two idiots will confess their true feelings. He just had to wait and see..

He knows what will happen next

The even will come after the odd

Maybe he will be there to see it,

Maybe he will not .
