My castle was bustling servants on the move all over the place packing what we needed. It wasn't like we couldn't come back but just in case we all wanted to live there indefinitely it was appropriate to take what we wanted now.
The best part is River could use her magic to move objects to any unknow location without a portal, but she could do living things. So as we gathered what we wanted, needed, and placed it in the large living area of the main castle halls she sent it to the location Nick had given her.
Sending a messenger days earlier we could trust to arrive just before we sent everything over making this long-awaited departure run smoothly.
Simoes had seen the babies this morning and appointed two trust worth maids to care for them along the journey, but I also appointed to guards to each woman in the off case they rebelled it be their heads. or if anyone else tried to harm the babies it would be there last day on earth.
Either way, I was not allow our children to travel unprotected. What no one knew but I was that there were going to be guards on the guards assuring things would go safely.
Simoes and I hadn't really spent to much time together as I was busy preparing my disconnection spell so I could go with everyone, Nick was busy making sure the path we took was well secretive and the rest manned up the task at hand.
Drogo and Sebastian were the ones that we're able to check in on her more since Peter found himself busy with his duties as well.
This day was looking to be a very exhausting one and it was just getting started.
" I'm not traveling separate from my babies, We have already been over this RIVER don't ask again" Simoes voice almost shouted out from behind our bedroom door
"but my lady it was a request of the lord that we keep you and the babies apart for your safety,"
"my safety comes second to none over my kids, Thank you but I will speak to him alone on the matter you may leave for and attend to whatever you need to before we depart" Simoes voiced out as kindly as she could.
I had made a suggestion about keeping the kids in one cargo transport while Simoes was in another so if someone wanted her she wasn't with the babes if found, but I guess this was not going to sit well with my love. Entering the room as River walked passed me nodding a bow to me as she did. She said nothing.
"Baby, you alright in here," I asked already knowing the answer
"No, VIctor I'm not which one of you suggested I separate from the kids on this trip" she growled out a bit asking me.
"I did" I commanded standing before her watching her eyes widen in wonderment.
"WHY" her anger was clear
"because if some was looking for you, and succussed you would be found with our babies in hand putting them in even more danger then being apart and hidden for now from others outside our castle "
"Okay, but did you think to ask me or discuss it with me" her hands on her hips standing before me waiting for my reply.
" I apologize love it wasn't to spite you, I was just thinking ahead of things. Perhaps we can say you will ride apart so no one knows but you can have the babies ride with you as will the rest of us"
her brow rose, listening to my her face and body slowly began to calm down, her shoulders softening.
"I guess we could do that, it would still allow for anyone who was a traitor to be revealed if there was any at all"
I nodded she got it, approaching her I took her hips in my hands pulling her in closer to me.
"I didn't mean to upset you today"
" I know, but I haven't' been with them because I was resting and now they, we are moving back home and well I can't let them do that alone without me"
"back home hmm!"
"Victor I didn't mean that this isn't our home, I just mean" she paused looking at me
"I'm sorry we have been insensitive to you and all this, this is your castle and home now it's ours too, I guess maybe this can be our winter home and Nick's is our Summer home"
she smiled trying to lighten the mood.
"Love, I don't care where you want to live as long as I'm with you but yes this castle is a timepiece for me and living it isn't as easy as I thought it was, but nor do I want to take all the things I'd like to have some here so when we come back it wouldn't be empty or cold"
"of course I love this place the longer we are here the more I find and love, I wouldn't expect you to want to never return nor I, when we get to Nick's we can talk about sharing the castle as one"
holding her near we embraced holding each other for a moment taking this time to enjoy it since it had been a long while.
"hey are you guy ready to get going, we shouldn't wait for any longer or the sun will begin to shine hotter"
"yes, Peter we are almost ready" Simoes linked us both us. Sensing something was off Peter entered approaching us coming to stand behind her wrapping his one arm around her waist as her arms rested on my neck.
hmm! she hummed her body was drawing from us, taking the energy we sent her to soothe her.
"well, well not one sent us a memo" Drogo chuckled as he entered followed by Sebastian
chuckling she hid her face in my chest taking in my scent.
Seb and Drogo gathered around as well just as Nicolae's entered. all of us standing in the middle of our bedroom touching our girl letting her know we were all safe as one. Nicolae's joined us. Simoes stepping back letting us all hold her hands, or hug her even kiss her letting us all a moment with her before we all came in for a group hug.
the flower of this dangerous garden hidden beneath us protected.
she began to purr! something she has never done before the vibration echoing through us all as we all felt her energy repowering us as we did her. this was something we needed, we all needed to have an intimate moment with her as her mates and we had no time for anything more than this moment right here, right at this moment.
"Sweetheart we need to get going" Sebastian Linked us all
"just a moment longer" she linked us back
hmm! a low growl left each one of us to her request as we allowed her the few more moments.
slowly like a blooming flower we opened up letting her out of the middle of us all, each of us lifting her up kissing those lips we love so much before setting her back down for the next to take her in his arms and do the same.
Sebastian, Peter, Drogo, Me, and Nick all enjoyed her before she walked out of the room with us heading to the stables along with the maid who would carry the babies to safety.
the horses were ready the carriage was ready and the guards required to protect us. We even had servants who wanted to try and live in the warmer climates packed and ready to head out with us lined up and waiting. everyone who was living was ready and willing.
my heart and head felt heavy something didn't sit right but nothing also felt like it was going to go wrong.
If it did we were ready, even Simoes was at the ready for anything. loading up Peter helped Simoes on her horse as I leaped onto mine the stood next to hers. We were on the way within the minute that River showed up all packed and ready getting on her horse as well.
"My lords, my Lady, shall we" she smiled
River led the way with Peter and a few guards to ensure we weren't going to have any surprises.
Turning I growled " Keep him close we need him for a few things" I commanded the guards watching over king Cyrus. a rope around his neck his hands tied pulled at the back of a horse he would walk the distance for now.
"ahh, Victor is that my father" Simoes voice gasped
"yes, we weren't about to leave him unattended here"
she nodded looking away taking her eyes off him and looking right ahead.
"love" I began but she cut in before I could say anything else
"its already Vic, we need him and can't trust him I guess I just didn't want him to be part of the journey with us. "
"nither did we but this was the only way to know he would stay a prisoner"
" yes, of course, I know but it doesn't make it any easier"
She was right taking him was stupid when we should have killed him already but if her mother was alive we would need him for a bit. nothing set well with me about this trip but I have to trust we would make it safely.
