"Langston can you take me to work, please?" Rebel asked him walking into the living room.
He looked up from the television, looking her over before giving his response. "No."
"May I ask why?"
"No reason. Just don't feel like leaving the house." He responded looking back at the tv.
Nodding her head, Rebel turned around to leave. Stopping in her tracks she turned back around and eyed him. "So how am I supposed to get to work?"
Langston shrugged his shoulders. "Call Romell. Better yet, call Lianna."
Scoffing she turned around leaving the room.
"The hell is his problem?" He heard her mumble.
He was upset with her for the stunt she pulled at Thanksgiving dinner, and had been her the cold shoulder ever since. It was hard for him to ignore his baby sister, but to him what she did was unacceptable.
His grandma gave him a long speech about having babies with different women and out of wedlock. Seemed like he couldn't win for losing. Plus, with Lianna still not speaking to he was trying to figure out how to get back into her good graces.
"My ride's here. I'm going back to Mama's for the week, so don't wait up." She told him sniffling.
Langston looked up to see tears running down Rebel's face. Now he was starting to feel like shit for making her cry.
"Whatchu crying for Jianna?" He asked calling her by her middle name."
She rolled her eyes, trying to calm down. "Because you're being an asshole."
He sighed before pulling her into a hug. "I'm sorry, aight. But what you did was unacceptable." He told her.
Waving him off, Rebel tried walking to the door. Langston pulled her back gently.
"I'm sorry JoJo. Now can I leave you're making me late."
Pulling her into another hug, he walked her outside. Seeing Lianna's car outside, he went to speak.
"Just so you know, Romell's my favorite sibling now." She told him.
"Aight."
"And I'm still going to Mama's house, until you get yourself together.
He opened the door her, before replying. He looked at Lianna taking in her attire.
"Wassup Lianna."
"Hi Langston." She spoke looking at him.
After grabbing Lehlanii out of the back seat, after throwing a tantrum. He said his goodbyes to them before going inside.
"Wassup Bug?"
"Hi Daddy." She said smiling.
Chuckling he sat down on the couch, turning on something for her to keep her occupied. Checking his phone for emails.

After waking up from their nap, Langston took Lehlanii to get something to eat since he didn't feel like cooking. While he was out, he decided to go check on Miara.
Knocking on her door. He waited for her to answer. Lehlanii stood next to him, sipping her orange Hi-C. Opening the door Miara came into view eyeing him.
"Hi." She greeted with a smile.
He responded by pecking her lips, making sure that his daughter walked in before him. She made sure to stay near him, glaring at Miara.
"I see you brought a guest with you."
"Yea. This Lehlanii."
"Hi Lehlanii."
Lehlanii stared at her blankly, before sending a dry wave her way. Continuing to sip her juice, she made herself comfortable on the couch. Langston stood there shaking his head at her behavior. It wasn't like her to act that way towards people.
"I'm sorry about that." He apologized.
Waving it off, she turned on Disney Channel for her so that she wouldn't be bored. Miara took a seat in her recliner, before turning to look at Langston.
"What brings you by?"
He sat down next to his daughter. Making sure she was okay before answering her. "Just wanted to check up on you. You've been kind of distant since Thanksgiving." He told her.
Sighing Miara looked down at the painted toes, not wanting to have this conversation in front of Lehlanii. The couple had barely spoken to one another, the only time they communicated was if it was about the baby. She had been trying to avoid him for obvious reasons.
"I'm fine." She told him.
Langston stared at her trying to figure out if she was being truthful with him. He could tell that she was lying, but decided not to press the issue.
"When's your next appointment?" He asked.
"This Friday." She mumbled leaving it at that.

It was a little after nine o' clock when Langston brought Lehlanii back to her mother's house. He had an early business meeting in the morning so she couldn't stay the night with him. And with Rebel staying at their grandma's house, he knew that was out of the question.
Knocking on the door, he patiently waited for Lianna to appear. She opened the door, allowing him to step inside. He put Lehlanii down on her feet, causing her to sprint towards her bedroom. Leaving her mother and father in an awkward silence.
He cleared his throat, before making eye contact with her.
"How've you been?"
"I've been okay. You?"
He looked away feeling uncomfortable under her stare. "Straight." He responded.
She nodded before taking a seat on the couch. "You can have a seat." She offered.
He eyed her before sitting on the ottoman across from her. Langston wondered why she was being so nice to him all of a sudden.
"So. How's Miara?"
"Good I guess."
Lianna nodded her head once again. "That's good. That's good."
"What's up witchu?" He asked.
"What do you mean?"
"Why're you being so nice to me?"
She chuckled. "Just trying to talk up with you. Is that a problem?" She asked innocently.
He side eyed her, thinking she was being sarcastic. But surprisingly she meant it. Lianna had finally came to terms that Langston would be having another child with someone that wasn't her.
"Nah." He replied checking the time on his phone.
"I'm happy for you. Even if you don't believe me." She blurted, causing him to look up at her.
Taken back by her statement Langston didn't respond right away. "U-um thank you."
He stood up getting ready to leave, causing Lianna to stand up as well.
"I'll see you later."
"Later."
