Damon's pov
3 months that's 90 days and 2190 hours that have gone by without waking up to the beautiful girl that I have fallen in love with. I missed Nora so much I mistook Bonnie as her once. And I know for sure that Bon Bon isn't gonna ever forget that incident so let's not go into that.
Surprisingly Bonnie and I talk a lot and when she wasn't annoying me with the sound of her of witchy voice, she is actually a very good listener. The only thing I ever spoke about was Nora. Leaving her in that crypt was the hardest thing I ever had to do in a long, long time. Seeing her break and cry in front of me broke me. Never once did it occur to me that I would fall for someone who is not Katherine or Elena. But this stranger had managed to completely sweep me off my feet till our last moment together.
Even though we stayed in my home, it didn't even feel like home to me. Her kisses were home for me, a place I always wanted but never knew. The way she went up on her toes and how her arms went around my neck into my hair to play with it, as I cupped her jaw with one hand and the other hand holding her waist pulling her closer. Each kiss warmed my heart. They were like a blanket needed to keep me warm on a chilly night, yet they were cold like an icy pole on a hot summer day.
Her hugs were the same, her head buried in the crook of neck and her arms around my neck, and me caressing her head and and kissing her softly on her head. The hugs were like a slow morning with the sun steadily rising outside the window and the cold floor beneath our feet. They made me feel safe, secured and most of all loved.
Staring at the sunset from the yard my mind takes me back to a few days before everything happened.

Flashback
"Nora" I call as I walk into my room only to see the back of her head. Her deep brown hair tied into a low and loose pony and the blanket was tucked neatly under her chin just how she likes it. I sit near her on the edge of the bed and watch her slowly peel her green eyes open "Hmm?"
And from the sound of it she is still not over her hangover. I always had to keep an eye on her every time we went out for drinks considering she never controls herself when it comes to drinking. "How you feeling?" I ask as I tuck a strand of her hair that had fallen from her pony. I pick up the moist cloth from the tray on the night stand and place it on her forehead. "I am hungry." She moans and closes her eyes again making me smile at her childlike behavior. One of the reasons I fell in love with her was because she never holds back her childishness when it comes to me.
"You get some more sleep baby I'll bring you some healthy food." I say and plant a firm kiss on her warm and flushed cheeks. I am about to get up and leave when she says "Damon? Your amazing. I love you." And buries her head into my pillow.

I smile at the memory and head back inside to help Bonnie find a way out of this place.
