Well, here it is, the day I had been dreading.
The first task.
I was standing with Hermione, in the Quidditch Stand where the first task was to take place.
"BETS, PLACE YOUR BETS!" I heard some one shout for somewhere above us.
"Is that...?" I asked but was immediately cut of by a second voice.
"BETS TAKEN! BETS TAKEN HERE!"
In a fit a rage I stomped to the red haired twin and glared at them.
When the noticed me they stopped.
"Oh Aura, my young friend, care to make a bet on young Harry?" Fred grinned, stepping forward and wrapped an arm around my shoulder.
"You listen to me and listen good. I'm sure by now Ron has told you what happened, who may dad is and what I can do."
"You mean how your dad is Sirius Black?" George spoke up.
"And how you can turn into a dog?" Fred finished.
"Exactly. So, by now, you should know, I'm not someone you want to piss off. So I suggest you take your betting crap away from me before I do something you'll regret." I growled. Both boys nodded and gave me a sad smile.
"Nervous about Harry?" Fred asked and I let out a sigh.
"How'd you guess?" I chuckled softly.
"The murder threat." He shrugged, making me smile a little.
"Don't worry Ro, your boyfriend is one tough kid. He faced Voldemort, twice and a mass murder." George spoke.
"Falsely accused Mass Murder." I corrected.
"The point is, if Harry can do that, he can sure as hell do this." Fred smiled, wrapping an arm around my shoulder.
"The difference being, when he defeated Voldemort, he had Ron, Hermione and I to help him, both times and there was never actually any danger when it came to facing my dad."
"Yeah, just the Werewolf, Dementors and Snape." George spoke.
"Shush up." I huffed, pushing ghim alittle making the boys laugh.
"Just, have faith in him Aura, he's a great wizard, everybody knows it, why do you think Hufflepuff have taken his entering into the cup so hard. They know he's got this in the bag."
With that they both left and I wondered back to Hermione.
"I'm going to the champions tent to see Harry, you coming?" I asked her and she nodded.
At the tent we found a gap in the wall, so I peaked though, searching for Harry's head of messy hair.
"Psst" I called out when I saw he was close enough to us.
"Harry, is that you?" Hermione whispered as he pressed up to the gap.
"Yeah."
"How are you feeling, you OK?" Hermione asked making me roll my eyes. It was quite before she spoke again.
"The key is to concentrate, after that, you just have too..."
"Battle A Dragon." Harry and I both spoke.
I saw a hand reach around the wall and I grabbed it only to be immediately pulled into a tight hug.
I let a few tears fall before I pulled away and wiped them clear, looming up at my boyfriend who looked nervous as hell.
"You're gonna go great baby and I'm gonna be right in the stands watching, cheering you on."
"I really love you, I hope you know that." Harry sighed, pulling me close and planting kiss on lips.
"I love you too idiot. Now, kick some dragon ass for me." I grin.
After I pulled away Hermione immediately pulled Harry into a death grip of a hug, which was interrupted by a flash and a snotty looking blonde woman walked into the tent with a camera man.
"Younger love. How.... stirring." she smiled, pointing at a quick quote quill, the float through the air.
"If everything goes unfortunately today, you two may even make front page." The woman busted excitedly, looking at Harry and Hermione.
Before Harry, Hermione or I could say a word, a voice at the back of the tent spoke up, drawing her attention away.
"You have now business here. This tent is for champions and friends." Viktor Krum insisted, as he walked over.
"And you sure as hell ain't Harry' friend, otherwise you'd know Harry and Hermione are just friends." I snapped at the woman who glared at me.
"No matter, we got what we wanted." She grinned, wiping her quill across Krums chin and sauntered out, as the camera man flashed one last photo.
Once the two were gone I turned back to Harry and smiled.
"Ignore her, no one believes that rubbish anyway." I assured him, taking his hand in mine.
Before any one could say anything Dumbledore, the other headmaster/mistresse and Barty Crouch walked in.
"Good day Champions, gather round please." Dumbledore called out as the four champions, Hermione and I stood by him.
"Now, you've waited, you've wondered and at last, the moment has arrived." He insisted, looking around the group, not yet noticing Hermione and I.
"A moment only four of you can fully appreciate." He finished, the stopped, looking at Hermione and I.
"Miss, Granger, Miss Lupin-Black, what are doing here?" He asked, although the look he gave me made me think he had already guessed.
"Wishing my boyfriend good luck head master." I smiled kindly at the man.
"Sorry, sir, we'll go." Hermione replied awkwardly, taking my hand and pulling me away.
I gave Harry a quick kiss on the cheek and called out,
"Good luck baby, good luck everyone." Before I was pulled out of the tent.
With a huff, I followed Hermione back to the stand where we watched each of the champions go, one by one, each facing their Dragon and each claiming their golden egg.
"Three of our champions have completed the first task and shall proceed to the next challenge. Now our fourth and final contestant."
I watched anxiously as Harry walked into the arena, looking around nervously. His eyes met mine and I forced a smile towards him.
If Harry didn't die in the task, I sure would.
At first, there was no sign of the Dragon, but as soon as Harry stepped out of the tunnel type thing, the dragon appeared, whipping it's tail and almost hitting Harry
It shot out a powerful spurt of fire towards Harry which he dodged, barely.
I let out a squeak as I watched Harry dive and dodge every hit the Dragon threw his way.
It was swinging it's tail, thrashing it's claws and spitting fire.
"Your wand Harry!" Hermione yelled.
"Use your wand Harry!" I yelled out with her, although we knew he couldn't hear us.
"Accio Firebolt!" He yelled and it went quiet, the dragon closing in on Harry and I held my breath.
Until suddenly his firebolt flew through the stand and he jumped on it, flying through the air, narrowly missing the flames the Dragon shot at him.
The crowd let out a cheer as he flew around the arena, trying to capture the egg.
However, the dragon too took flight, fighting against it's chains.
If followed after Harry who sped off, trying to outrun it.
He flew over the teachers, causing the Dragon to almost take them all out when his tail destroyed their stand.
"Yeah!" The crowd cheered.
"Yeah, well done Dragon!" Fred and George yelled exactly.
I shot them a glare, but let my eyes wonder the skys, looking for Harry.
"It had been almost 10 minutes, where is he?" I wondered out loud.
"There, look!" Ron called out as Harry appeared from the other side of the stand, right infront of us.
"YES!" Hermione cheered excitedly but I felt tears run down my face.
"Aura, he's OK." Ginny chuckled as he pulled me into a hug as we both watched Harry fly back over, passed where we sat and the whole crowd erupted into cheers once again.
I let out a breath of relief as Harry grabbed his golden egg.
That was it, the task was over, he had done it.
Thank Merlin.
After the task, what seems like everyone in Gryffindor and a few others, were stood in the Gryffindor common room, all gathered around Harry who had a tight grip around my waist as he held up his golden egg, triumphantly as we all cheered him.
He turned to me and grinned.
"You did amazingly baby, I'm so proud of you." I told him, not being able to stop the smile on my face or the happy tears in my eye.
He lent down and kissed me, making the crowd around us yell and wolf whistle as we pulled away blushing.
Fred and George ran over and lifted Harry up onto their shoulders as they praised him excitedly.
"We knew you wouldn't die Harry."
"Lose a leg."
"Or an arm."
"But pack it in altogether?"
"NEVER!" They finished together, making me laugh as I walked and stood over by Hermione.
"Go on Harry, let see what the clue for the next task is." Seamus called up, holding Harry's egg up to him.
"Who wants me to open it?" Harry asked, obviously loving that he had the house back on his side again.
The house let out a cheer and I smiled up at my boyfriend who opened the egg.
It let out an awful screeching sound that caused everyone to block their ears until the egg was silent again after Harry closed it.
"What the Bloody hell was that?" A new voice asked over the quiet.
Everyone turned to see Ron stood in the entrance of the common room, looking a little nervous.
"Alright everyone, go back to your knitting." Fred called out after a minute of awkward silence.
"This is going to be uncomfortable enough without all you nosy sods listening in." George finished.
The crowd dispersed while Hermione and I stayed close enough incase a fight started.
"I reckon you'd have be mad to put your own name in the Goblet Of Fire." Ron admitted, looking at Harry nervously.
"Caught on have you? Took you long enough." Harry sassed, not letting Ron off that easily.
"I wasn't the only one who thought you'd done it." Ron tried to defend himself, but it was a ridiculous defence and he knew it. "Everyone was saying it behind your back."
"Brilliant, that makes me feel loads better."
"Least I warned you about the dragons." Ron smiled a nervously.
"Hagrid warned me about the Dragons." Harry replied.
"No, no, no, I did. Don't you remember I told Hermione, to tell you, that Seamus told me, that parvati told dean that Hagrid was looking for you. Seamus never actually told me anything, so it was really me all along." Ron explained.
Harry looked just as confused as I felt as he looked at Ron who was, once again, looking at his feet.
"I thought we'd be all right. You know after you'd figured that out."
"Who... who could possibly figure that out?" Harry asked, dumbfounded his friend had thought that was so simple. "That's completely mental."
"Yeah, I suppose I was a bit distraught." Ron answered, still looking awkward as hell.
"Boys" Hermione and I whispered to each other, not believing the mess we had just witnessed.
I looked over my shoulder to see Ginny who was rolling her eyes at her brother.
"Idiots, the both of you." I huffed as I stalked over and grabbed both boys, pulled them into a hug, Hermione following after and the whole house cheered once again.
