"Uhm... what were you guys doing?" Gao asks us when we get downstairs. Everyone stared at us and I felt so cornered.
"We were fucking Maya," Lea said. "Yeah. That," Didi smiled. "Oh. Okay," Gao said and everyone continued doing what they were doing.

'Later that night, Didi and I took a walk to the tennis court and just watched the sky.
"You're so beautiful," she tells me. "I am?" I ask. "You are," she says.
We walked back to the pool where our friends were gathered and getting high.
Didi went to speak to Gao about only God knows what. Mpumi came and stood next to me. Shocking.
"Maya, I still love you," she said and leaned closer. I resisted but she just wouldn't stop moving closer and closer.
Her hands pulled my waist and she pressed her lips against mine. I pulled away from the kiss and my hand hit her cheek.
Everyone stared at us and Didi walked closer. "What the fuck?" Mpumi yelled. "I'm trying to show you how much I love you," she said.
"Leave me the fuck alone," I said to her. "Maya, listen," she said. "Hey, leave her alone," Didi said.
Mpumi turned to Didi and punched her. What th- no. Didi didn't hesitate to throw hands back and the two studs just keep hitting each other.
Mayra pulled Didi and Lesego pulled Mpumi trying to break up the fight. Melo stood between the two and pushed them away from each other.
"I swear on my life, I'm gonna kill you," Mpumi yelled. "Oh yeah? Do it now, pussy," Didi said clearly provoking her.
Mpumi pulled out a gun from her jeans and pointed it to Didi. "Okay, so we're acting gangster now?" Didi asked and also pulled out a gun.
What the fuck is going on? Didi has a gun? Mpumi has a gun? Who else here has a gun?
"Didi, no," I say to her. Her eyes lock with mine and I walk closer to her.
"Don't. It's not worth it," I say. She lowers the gun and places it in my hand. "Keep it away from me or I swear I'll kill her," Didi says.
Her face was red. I could see how angry she was. "Goodnight guys," I say and take Didi's hand.
She sat on the bed quietly as I cleaned up her face. Her lip was bleeding and so was her nose.
"Are you okay?" I ask her. "No. I'm sorry you had to see that," she said. "I'm glad I did. Now I know that you'd do anything for me," I smiled.
"I was so close to shooting her," she chuckled. "I could tell," I laughed.
"Why do you even have a gun?" I ask. "My dad has enemies. I need to protect myself," she said. I can tell that she doesn't wanna talk about it so I'll just leave it.
"Okay baby. I love you," I say. "I love you," she responds.
We climb into the sheets and cuddle to sleep.'

'I opened my eyes and Didi was staring at the ceiling again. "Didi?" I say. "Hey baby," she smiles.
"You look better," I say. "I feel better," she said. "Are you sure?" I ask and she nods.
"Will you be able to stand Mpumi?" I ask. "I'll try," she says. "I'll hold onto your gun," I say and get up.
We take our shower and I decided to wear jeans with a baggy top to keep her gun on me.
Everyone was downstairs, including Mpumi. We sat down on the bench and Mpumi got up.
"Sorry for pointing a gun at you last night," she said. "It's whatever, man. I'm also sorry," Didi said.
"Now that that's over, I thought that you got rid of your gun last year, Mpumi," Lesedi said.
"I had to get a new one. They killed my sister and I'm tired of losing people I love," Mpumi said to her. Killed her sister?
"Plans for today?" Lebo asks. "We'll watch a movie downstairs. There's a candy wall and popcorn," Gomo said.
Didi's phone rang and she excused herself. It was her dad.
I waited for Didi while everyone went to the basement to choose a movie.
"What was that about?" I ask her. "Just business," she says and takes my hand.'
