I'm back again with a new chapter! Look forward for tons of actions between Jyin and Hisui. I don't own Soul Eater, just my OC's.
Currently, Jyin and Hisui are sparring in a local forest to prepare for the upcoming battle against the DWMA. However, the training turns serious as Hisui uses 'Hand Cannon' against Jyin which sends him fly across the forest. Jyin is not only trying to stay conscious, but also keeps his balance by swaying around and trying to feel for the ground. Eventually, Jyin's feet hits the ground and he begins to skid across the ground. After a few seconds, Jyin finally made a complete stop.
"I was sent quite a distance away." Jyin said as he took notice of the turned over ground from where he planted his feet on. "My front hurts a bit too."
As he walks forward, Jyin hears the faint sound of running ahead of him and he smiles. Hisui is coming and is now in Jyin's view.
"Well, if weapon abilities are allowed, I should use mine!" Jyin says as he slowly raises his arms.
Even from a distance, Hisui could see that Jyin's making his move. As Hisui runs forwards, she turns her forearms into jade in preparation for her opponent's counter attack. Once Hisui gets in range, Jyin let's swipes his arms.
"Horizontal Slash: Komori!"
Hisui knows this attack well and raises her arms. The attack was so strong, that it slices through the ground, the edge of the surrounding trees, and Hisui's unprotected legs. Still, Hisui didn't halt and is now inches away from Jyin. She raises her armored fist and aims it towards Jyin who's fist is raised as well.
"There's no way you can overpower my attack now!" Hisui yells.
BANG!
Jyin collides Hisui's armored punch with his own punch, but the difference between the two attacks is obvious. Upon impact, Jyin's knuckles bled immediately due to hitting Hisui's armor. Not only that, but the collision also fractures two of his fingers.
"Told you." Hisui said as she heard Jyin's knuckles crack.
Jyin growls and attacks Hisui with his knee which she catches in her other hand. Once she done so, Hisui realizes that the previous attack was just a fake to keep her opposite hand occupied, but it was too late.
"Don't underestimate me." Jyin growls. "Not that it matters from this point on."
Jyin raises his arm and slams his fist into Hisui's stomach. Once in contact, Hisui's strength softens and is sent to the ground along with Jyin's fist.
"You said weapon abilities are allowed, right?" Jyin asks as he looks down at Hisui. "I better not hear complaints from you from this point on."
Hisui jumps up from the ground and spits out the blood in her mouth.
"Just try and take me out." Hisui challenges as she turns her arms into armor.
Jyin jumps backwards and then pounces upwards and punches Hisui rapidly from above. Normally, a punch from a normal person wouldn't reach Hisui, but this isn't any ordinary barrage.
"Mach Missiles!"
"Jade Armament: Full Upper!"
From above Hisui, Jyin let loose an onslaught of punches which extends several feet then it should. Not only that, but the punches were launched so fast that it almost seem to multiply. Hisui decides to hold her ground by covering her upper body, like her forehead, shoulders, arms, and torso in jade armor. Despite Hisui's increased defense, the rapid fire punches wouldn't cease and slowly began to overwhelm her. Soon, the surrounding area was punched into and pieces of dirt and foliage were being thrown into the air. Eventually, Jyin stops and lands on the ground leaving him breathing heavily.
"How's that?" Jyin asks. "You still think you can beat me?"
Dust was still billowing from the ground and Hisui was somewhere in the dust cloud. All of the sudden, the dust blew away by Hisui with a sway of her arms. Jyin was taken aback, but knew that there is no way Hisui would be taken down that easily. Without an y hesitation, Hisui clears the distance between her and Jyin with a dash.
I still have a chance to get a good attack! Hisui thought as she raises her fist. My strength should be enough to break through...
"Snare."
Before she can get any closer, Hisui froze in place and lost momentum. It's Jyin's doing.
"You honestly thought a full throttle head on attack behind a smokescreen will catch me off guard?" Jyin asks as he slowly walks to Hisui. "You are well aware of how my weapon abilities work."
Hisui desperately tries to break free from Jyin's trap. Hisui manages to break one of her arms free much to Jyin's surprise and prepares to attack him. Before Hisui could continue any further, Jyin punches her in the face with great power.
Hisui tumbles away, but still manages to keep her composure and stood up quickly. Still, the punch was strong enough to make her nose bleed despite her sturdy body. Hisui wipes the blood off her nose and stared at Jyin who's standing strong.
"Ahh, I forgot.🎵" Hisui said with a desperate smile. "Close combat is your specialty."
"That's you excuse?" Jyin asks in a threatening tone. "You better take this seriously cause this is where I won't go easy on you."
Hisui raises her fists and glares.
"It wouldn't be proper training if we don't give it out our all." Hisui said.
"Wonderful."
~Meanwhile, back at the DWMA...
"Ragnorok...what happened to you?"
After being released from bed rest, Crona was trying his best to bring out Ragnorok. He tried summoning the Demon Sword, self harm from either cutting himself or beating his backside, and Stien even let loose some Soul Force attacks. No matter what though, it was all but in vail. He just wasn't responding. However, Soul told him about a certain technique that might be able to contact Ragnorok through the soul.
"Ever since Soul was infected with black blood, he was able to enter a place where he calls the 'Black Room'." Crona said out loud. "If I could concentrate and focus, maybe I can create something similar and meet Ragnorok.
Crona sits one the ground in his room and begins to focus.
Focus on harmonizing your soul. Crona tells himself. A sound soul resides in a sound mind and a sound body.
After a few minutes of nothing happening Crona, finally gave up.
"Guess I'll try...something...else.."
When Crona stood up, he found himself in a wooden paneled room similar to a basement. There's cobwebs, old western furniture, toddler toys covered in dust and a single window covered with black blotches. Crona continues to look around and sees a figure he thought he would have never see again.
"Hello Crona."
Crona turns around to see Ragnorok as he was in his original form. Ragnorok stood tall and towers over anyone in the DWMA. Since he was connected, to Crona, he had no visible lower region. Now, he has a spiked black and white belt with black spandex pants with shows off his muscular legs and spikes biker boots. Unlike most in humans, Ragnorok's legs are proportional to his upper body which makes him stand about 10 feet tall if not taller. Crona looks at Ragnorok with a mix of fear and worry.
"Long time no see." Crona said.
Ragnorok walks up to Crona and noogies him roughly.
"It's been so damn long since I could do something like this! How nostalgic!" Ragnorok laughs.
"I miss this too for some reason." Crona said trying to push Ragnorok away.
Ragnorok steps back and a large black and white throne rose from the shadow on the floor. Once the throne finished coming out of the ground, Ragnorok sits on it and smiles.
"Crona, welcome to my chambers." Ragnorok said as he creates a chair behind Crona with the surrounding shadows. "I know why your here so have I seat."
With no option, Crona accepts and sit on the chair. As soon as he done so, a old wooden dining table rose from the floor with tea and candies on top of it.
"Why not enjoy yourself?" Ragnorok asks. "You came all the way here so you might as well enjoy your stay."
At first Crona was hesitant due to Ragnorok's sudden change in attitude, but he has nothing to loose so he accepts his offer and ate some candy. Crona tries the tea, but it tastes terrible. There's an awkward silence between the two.
"Is this about the Devil Weapon?" Ragnorok asks as he sips his tea.
"Yeah, I need to know why your not responding." Crona said. "Tell me Ragnorok, why aren't you appearing?"
Ragnorok stays silent for a bit and eats some candy. Then he holds up two fingers.
"Two reasons." Ragnorok begins. "Number one: You and I are not in sync and cannot respond due to an unbalance wavelength."
Crona nods in response.
"The second reason I can only tell you if figure out number 1." Ragnorok said with a smile. "Unfortunately, this s a situation we need to find common ground on."
Crona is silent.
"There's no reason why I shouldn't be able to summon you." Crona said. "It's your fault for not responding to me."
All of the sudden, Ragnorok stands up and reaches out across the table and grabs Crona by the collar. Then, he gets in Crona's face fumes.
"Don't act all high and mighty here Crona." Ragnorok threatens. "This is MY space and you have no intention in telling me off."
Crona stands up and bump his head against Ragnork's in anger.
"I'm trying to get back up on my feet and yet your here living life as if nothing happens." Crona yells back. "When the Devil Weapon defeated you, you did nothing afterwards!"
In fury, Ragnorok lifts Crona up by the neck and smashes him into the table. Crona grips Ragnork's wrist in an attempt to break free, but Ragnorok is true strong.
"I'm part of you twerp." Ragnorok reminds Crona. "Don't blame me for losing!"
Crona couldn't respond because of his desperate attempt to break free of Ragnork's grip.
"Don't think your the only one affected by this." Ragnorok said. "My pride as a demon sword is crushed! I was grabbed by the head and smashed into the ground. Me!"
Crona begins to listen and loosens his grip.
"Do you think this fight is my fault?" Ragnorok asks. "How about you? How do you feel about facing him? I'm always ready for a rematch are you?"
Ragnorok lets go of Crona and sits back down. Crona didn't bother giving up and just stayed on top of the table listening to clock tick away.
"I'm scared."
Ragnorok turns to look at Crona.
"When I faced him, I felt a sense of dread." Crona said. "No, that's not the right word. It's the same feeling I had with Medusa."
Ragnorok nods. "I felt the same, but it's nothing but irritation."
"What happened to me?" Crona asks Ragnorok.
"Isn't it obvious? You lost your will to fight." Ragnorok answers. "We were training with those death scythes and it was all to lose to a random nobody."
Crona couldn't say anything. Ragnorok knows him better than anyone.
"The 'Devil Weapon'. When I first saw him, I took him as a runt." Ragnorok said. "However, for some reason, I felt a sense of danger as the fight continues. When he grabbed me, the black blood in me ran cold and I blacked out."
"That was a loss that I wasn't prepared for." Crona admits. "I studied and trained to prove myself, but I ended up being beaten around. Despite what everyone said, what happen was devastating."
"It's been awhile since I felt fear." Ragnorok said. "Still, I can't forgive that bastard and I'm willing to go again."
Crona looks at Ragnorok and is surprised in what he heard.
"How about you Crona? Do you have the will to fight?" Ragnork asks as he gets in his miester's face.
Crona looks down, but gives Ragnork a determined nod. Ragnorok gives a toothy grin, but something tells Crona that his weapon is up to something.
"Good. This comes to my second reason." Ragnork said. "I don't have my original strength. If I was at my former form, the outcome of the fight would be very different."
Crona nods his head in disagreement. "Me and you both know that the strength of the 'Devil Weapon' is comparable to those like Black Star and Professor Stien." He said. "The result in the fight would have remained the same."
Ragnork sat back in his throne and Crona looks at him with a sense of uncertainty.
"Are you planning to come back to us?" Crona asks Ragnorok.
"Fine, I'll come back." Ragnorok agrees. "However, you better not lose whatever fighting spirit you have left or I'll personally finish you."
Crona nods. "How do I get out?"
"That's the fun part."
All of the sudden the shadows of the ground quiver and slowly begin to take form. Like plants, they slowly sprouted from the ground and begin to surround Crona. Then, they suddenly grab Crona's limbs and neck causing him to yell in fear. Ragnorok looks at Crona and waves casually as the shadows drag Crona down into them.
"See you on the other side." Ragnorok cackles.
Eventually the shadows completely envelopes Crona and all he can see is darkness.
"Huh?!"
Crona opens his eyes and is relieved to see himself back in his room. He hears the sound of loud footsteps and the door to his room flung open.
"Are you ok?" asks a scared Marie. "I heard you scream."
Crona smiles and shakes his head.
"Just had a little meeting." Crona said which confuses Marie. Crona sighs and contemplates his time with Ragnork. The will to fight...
Meanwhile back at the forest...
BAM!
THUMP!
CRASH!
"How long can you last? Your endurance has a limit!"
"How about you? You must be tired after all those attacks!"
Jyin and Hisui have continued to fight and both are getting quite tired. Attacking, dodging, defending and focusing are all part of what they have been doing in the past 15 minutes or so. Both weapons are both tired and beaten with their clothes ripped. Since they are so focused on fighting, Jyin and Hisui have completely forgotten about holding back. Injuries varied to cuts, bruises, and fractured bones. Despite this, the childhood friends showed no ill will against each other.
"Let's end this." Jyin said as he sways his arms and curls his fingers.
"I agree." Hisui said as she raises her arms and transform them into jade. "Jade Armament: Arms."
The atmosphere froze and the only sounds left is the wind blowing and falling leaves. All of the sudden, the two weapons ran towards each other breaking the silence.
"Acyclic Slash: Orochi!" Jyin yells as he splays his fingers.
"Gemcutter!" Hisui yells thrusting her arms forward.
Each of the opponents respective attacks struck each other. Jyin's attack cut through Hisui's torso and limbs while Hisui's fist hit Jyin's face and chest. The impact of the two rumbles through the air and echos into the forest. Soon, both Jyin and Hisui were shot away from each other into the trees behind them causing collateral damage.
Both laid on the ground, bleeding and unconscious.
~Few minutes later...
"Ow...my head..."
Jyin slowly rose from the ground and tries to stand up. Unfortunately, getting up is harder than thought. Everything ached from his head to his toes. Jyin took a moment to look around and sees the ground turned over, smashed stone, damaged tree trunks and even a fallen tree.
"We should've held back a bit." Jyin said as clutched his side in pain. "Where's Hisui?"
Jyin made his away to the direction where Hisui was blown away to. Jyin finds Hisui who's still unconscious from the battle. Jyin sighs and heaves Hisui on his back.
"Damn. Taking this much damage before the fight wasn't a good idea." Jyin says as he moves Hisui to get in a comfortable position. "At the very least, we can say that we are at our peak."
Jyin smiles and wipes some of the blood off his lips and face.
"C'mon Hisui, wake up." Jyin said out loud as he made his way back to Death City. "The walk is a bit long."
~2 more days until the Jaded and Devil Weapon attack the DWMA.
This chapter definitely took more time than needed, but I did it! For those who actually the time to read this fanfic and be patient with me, thank you. There are two announcements I would like to make. One is that as of now, the Q&A is still ongoing so post any questions in the chapter mentioning it. The second announcement is that I'm working on an original story! I'm excited to start a brand new work that I can call my own with nothing to base off of like a normal fanfic. With that in mind, I won't be making drafts for any of my current fanfics and all will be on hiatus. Thanks for reading and please look forward to my new work. See you all later!
