After realizing that someone from the kingdom that attacked her home was within the group Mira was extremely tense while she observed the last and most important member of the group. Corvo was a middle aged man that had a muscular body with a tan. He had brown hair that had streaks of dark red within it. His face was set in a stern look, however if someone was to look into his brown eyes then they would see a gentle kindness. While Mira was observing everyone, they were also observing her. The immediately noticed how she tensed her body when she looked at Zara. Seeing as the children originated from the Daybloom, they assumed that the reason for the negative reaction was because her kingdom was enemies with the Nightfall Kingdom. Since Zara looked like a Nightfall citizen they could only assume that was the reason for the child's uneasiness.

In order to sooth the child Zara spoke up saying, "Please child, calm down. My heritage is that of the Nightfall Kingdom, but I am not from there." Seeing that Mira was confused Zara explained further, "My mother was a citizen of the Nightfall Kingdom, but she didn't agree with what the Kingdom was doing. She fled from the Kingdom while she was pregnant with me. I was raised in the Dawn Kingdom and stayed there until I joined this caravan."

After Mira heard the explanation she began to relax. Corvo finally spoke up and asked, "Now on to business. May we know your name? We can't keep thinking of you as child."

Shyly Mira answered, "My name is Mira." She didn't think that they would know who she was from her name because there were many people with the name of Mira.

"What is the name of this little angel?" Linda cooed as she wiggled her fingers at Niella. Mira had been so distracted while observing everyone that she didn't notice that Niella had woken up. Niella was curiously looking at anything that came into her view. She was fascinated by the wiggling fingers and began to try to grab the fingers with her chubby fingers.

Mira replied, "Her name is Ella." Mira wasn't able to use Niella's real name because it was so unique that people would instantly know who she was. She decided to use the nickname that their family had given her.

Linda reached out her arms while asking, "May I hold her?"

Seeing the desire within her eyes, Mira agreed and gently passed Niella over to Linda. Linda began to coo and play with Niella while still listening to the conversation that was happening around her. Corvo asked Mira, "Why did you sneak into our caravan?" His tone was stern and let Mira know that he expected nothing but the truth.

"Corvo! Don't you dare use that tone towards a child! She must have had a reason to hide in our caravan. She was most likely in danger and desperate to escape. Why else would a child of her age do something so dangerous?" Linda started to scold her husband when he began to use a stern tone to question Mira.

Looking contrite Corvo said, "Yes dear." Turning to Mira he said, "I'm sorry for using that tone child. It just didn't sit well with me that two children were on their own." He apologized sincerely and Mira could see the sincerity within his eyes. She smiled at him in order to calm him down.

Mira said, "It's alright. Mrs. Linda was right with what she said. The soldiers from the Nightfall Kingdom attacked my family while they attacked the castle. I was lucky to be playing in the garden with Ella. I ran with Ella in order to protect her."

"Did your parents work in the castle?" Lee asked, jumping into the discussion after Mira had finished explaining.

Deciding to go with the story that her parents were servants within the castle Mira responded, "That's correct. My parents were most likely killed during the attack. I don't know what happened to my other siblings." After speaking Mira began to sob knowing that she would never see her parents again.

Handing Niella over to Corvo, Linda gathered Mira into her arms while softly saying, "Shh. Let it all out child. You're safe now. Both of you are." While Linda was soothing Mira, Corvo was soothing Niella who began to cry when she heard her sister sobbing. After a while both children calmed down from their crying. Both children had exhausted themselves. Corvo picked Mira up while Linda took Niella. Everyone decided that they would talk tomorrow. The couple took the children into their tent and put the girls to bed.

Author's note: This chapter is going to be slightly shorter than the other chapters I think.
