"This way."
The sound of the undead could be heard making their way around the barren and empty streets. On each side of the street going all the way down to the exit, multiple cars that had been abandoned on each side of the road, many of the cars had been severely damaged and left open. Some of the cars had exploded prior to the Takashi and Saya arriving on the scene.
Takashi could not help but pick up on blood smears he could visibly see coming from the car a mere few metres from him.
The lamppost that the car had crashed into, continued to flick as it highlighted the remains of a decomposing body that looked almost unrecognisable to Takashi or Saya. Takashi let out a breath as he realized that the result of the man or woman being unrecognisable was due to what the 'zombies' had done to him. Takashi began to analyse the street like a predator as he watched for any signs of life, or zombies.
"Jeez... Why did you decide that we should go on foot in the midst of the night?" Saya whispered as she began to feel annoyed at her friend. Takashi smirked slightly and leaned to peek into the street as he waited to make the next move.
"Because, it's harder to see at night and we really need supplies while we are staying at Kohta's place." Takashi stood up straight and signalled for her to follow him as he began to walk down the lonely street. Saya trailed down slightly as she crossed her arms and narrowly looked at with Takashi with a stern expression.
"...Right." Saya rolled her eyes used the palm of her hands to wipe the confused and annoyed expression "So out of me, Shizuka, Rei, Saeko and Kohta you decided to choose me because.?" Saya walked forward in-front of Takashi and leaned in towards him. Takashi averted his eyes as he saw the big bouncy breasts of Saya bounce right in front of his eye line.
"I chose you because we haven't gotten to talk properly since all of this kicked off... I figured that we can discuss what the future is going to be like from now on." Takashi faintly blushed as he stared anywhere but at his friend. Saya analysed Takashi for a few moments before backing off and turning around continuing back down the road.
"If that was the case you could have just said from the beginning instead of dragging me along whilst I was preoccupied with reading..." Saya placed her arms behind the back of her head as she stretched her arms to the best of her ability.
Takashi closed his eyes for a moment before re-opening them and following Saya towards the end of the street.
"Sorry..." Takashi scratched the back of his head as he realized how rude he came off by dragging his friend into the mission. "I was getting slightly worried about the limited resources we had back there so I figured we should have more than necessary." Takashi looked to his right as he noticed the chaos that had been endured within the street.
To the right of Takashi, a car that had been left open with nothing but human remains of someone who had been ripped apart by one of the zombie's days prior. Takashi stopped in his track and paid full attention what was in the car as he noticed something in particular, however, Takashi did not know what he was looking at.
(The hell is that? Is that... Steel? Why would the owner of this car have something that is steel in the car?)
Takashi felt slightly dumb for asking himself in his own thoughts such a dumb question. Unbeknown st to Takashi, Saya had stopped in her tracks when she saw Takashi looking into a car from the side.
"Takashi? What are you looking at?" Saya walked closer to her friend as she was curious to see what he was looking at.
"I think... that's a pistol?" Takashi leaned in as he wanted to get a closer look at the weapon. Takashi's eyes began to widen as he realized that his suspicions were indeed correct. "The hell? Why is there a pistol in a random car that we happen to walk past?" Takashi felt slightly confused as he leaned into the passenger side of the car to grab the weapon.
"I don't know? Why don't you ask the dead guy right In-front of you?" Saya rolled her eyes and crossed her arms as she waited for Takashi to grab the weapon. Takashi moved himself out of the passenger seat and stood up straight and turned around showed Saya.
"If I'm remembering correctly, Kohta called this type of pistol a 9mm handgun?" Takashi analysed the pistol as he made sure that the pistol had ammo within the weapon. "Here, whilst I like using pistols, I think you should have this one." Takashi smiled and handed Saya the pistol with the magazines in his other hand.
"Are you certain that you want to give this to me Takashi?" Saya asked with a surprised expression written across her face. "I mean I appreciate it but... "Before Saya could finish what she was saying, Takashi forced the pistol into her hand and backed off slightly.
"You are a very valuable asset to the group Saya, of course I want to give you something to defend yourself in these very strange times?" Takashi rhetorically asked as he chuckled at his own question when he thought about it.
"Has anyone ever told you that you are weird?" Saya narrowed her eyebrows as she became unamused at Takashi. "Not just like weird, but really weird...because you are very weird. In fact, I think you are the weirdest guy I have ever met Takashi." Saya placed her hands on her waist as she tried to get her point across.
Takashi chuckled slightly before waving her off and walking in-front of her towards the local store in-front of them.
"I've been told a few times that I can be a little weird Saya." Takashi decided to play along with Saya. The two were now very close to their destination as they realized that the local store had bars surrounding the exterior. "Great... we are going to have to find another way in... let's try the back." Takashi whispered slightly as he wanted to keep the noise down. Saya nodded and followed her friend as they walked down a dark alley with a grey door on the side.
"If they are smart enough to lock up the front of the store Takashi, I'm sure they are smart enough to lock the back at least." Saya whispered before Takashi tried the back entrance. To Saya's shock and Takashi's surprise, the door opened as the two didn't know what to think.
"What were you saying Saya?" Takashi laughed quietly, Saya in response punched her friend in the shoulder. "Ow... Ow! Saya!" Takashi exclaimed as quietly as he could, the punch left a mark on Takashi's right shoulder. Saya walked ahead of Takashi and into the back of the store. The pair walked into a small room that was filled with nothing but darkness that welcomed them as they closed the door behind them.
"Saya, turn the torch on." Takashi commanded his friend as he struggled what to make out what was in-front of them. All Takashi could see was the outline of the objects around the room. Saya fiddled about with the hems of her skirt as she tried to pull out the torch that was in her pockets.
"I am... I am..." Saya turned the flashlight on. "This room is smaller than I expected. Is that a locked cabinet?" Saya noticed a cabinet that had a keypad on the front of it next to a desk a few feet away from the pair.
"Yes, that's a locked cabinet... we can come back to it later on; it won't hurt to check this place out first." Takashi looked around and got a feel for the room that he stood in currently, to his left was another door leading into the main part of the store. Takashi walked over towards the and stood in-front of it as he signalled to Saya that he was about to enter.
"Saya we came here for supplies for our temporarily home for now, if you can find anything else that can be useful for us put it on that desk behind you and we will see what would be best to bring back." Takashi pointed behind her towards the desk that she stood in-front of. Saya without saying a word, nodded as she waited patiently for her friend to open the door slowly but surely.
Takashi opened the door as quietly as he could until the door was open enough for the two to be able to continue to walk in and walk out without making too much noise. Takashi noticed the flickering light next to one of the aisles as soon as he began to take notice of his surroundings. Takashi eyes lit up as he noticed the number of supplies on in-front of him, Saya also picked up on this and looked towards Takashi as she waited for him to look at her back, it did not take long for Takashi to pick up on Saya looking at him. Without needing to say anything, Takashi nodded as the pair both began to split up in their separate directions as they began to get a closer look at their newly found supplies.
(This place is full of supplies! How did we ever get so lucky? Man... we are going to need to come back here before we relocate.)
Takashi took the bag off of his back and began opening it as he started grabbing different supplies that we could come in handy such as different cans of food, water bottles, batteries for flashlights and snacks.
Luckily for Takashi, the bag he was using had a copious amount of room to fit many supplies that he alone had gathered up from the back aisle of the store.
Looking to his right, Takashi could see Saya walking back and forward as she brought supplies into another bag in the room they had used to get into the store. Saya caught Takashi looking at her and looked at him with a confused expression, a wry smile appeared on Takashi as nodded appreciatively to his friend. Takashi began to go to the middle of the aisle that split all the different sections of items that the store held before picking a random aisle to go down.
Takashi noticed the label in-front of the section which read 'equipment'.
Without thinking about it, Takashi noticed he was standing under the flickering light. However, it wasn't enough to stop Takashi from seeing the items on shelves separately. Takashi's eyes spotted a hand axe that had a leathery texture for a handle, the rest of the axe was an ominous orange colour. Takashi picked up the hand axe and allowed himself a few moments to get comfortable with wielding such a weapon.
(This definitely can hurt somebody very badly, could be handy to use as an emergency weapon in case of danger...heck I could use this as some sort of tomahawk? I'll keep one for now and see what the others tell the others later.)
Takashi grabbed the hand axe and placed it within one of his pockets of his school blazer.
Feeling accomplished, Takashi made his mind up to check on what Saya was doing. Takashi quickly left the aisle and made his way back to the back parts of the store where Saya was currently occupying with her own supply gatherings. Walking into the room, Takashi could see Saya looking over the items she had spread out on the desk a mere few feet away from the entrance where they entered from. Saya leant over the desk as she looked at the supplies she had picked out from her own aisle before she noticed Takashi standing at the door.
"Don't just stand there, come on and help." Saya said with an aggressive tone lacing within her tone of voice. Takashi smiled wearily at his friend and walked over towards the desk that sat in the light of Saya's own flashlight.
"Did you find anything that will be useful for us?" Takashi crossed his arms as he came into view range of the supplies. "Change of plans, you also got some very good supplies yourself... Meals for the next few weeks is looking very bright, Magazines...Magazines? Where did you get gun magazines from?" Takashi wore a confused expression as he waited for an answer from his friend.
"I got them from the front of the store, they were sat under the checkout next to the desk. I also found some medical supplies alongside the tinned cans of food that you pointed out..." Saya brushed a few strands of her hair out of her face and faced her friend with a composed expression. Takashi nodded as he was happy enough with everything Saya had gotten so far on their 'mission'.
"Were there any weapons at the front?" Takashi picked up the magazine and inspected it from head to toe. Saya continued putting the last remaining supplies into the bag in-front of the two.
"No, there was only a till full of money and what appeared to be an ID card at the front, reading whoever was last working here before the world became like this." Saya zipped the bag up and turned around to face Takashi with a blank expression. Takashi looked at the ground and nodded as he thought about a time before the collapse.
(It feels like it's been so long since the end of the world began... I wonder how many days or weeks have passed since that day occurred?)
Takashi's expression turned sour as he began to think about the horror's that have occurred.
"Takashi? Takashi...? Hey! Takashi!" Saya continued to call her friends name repeatedly until he snapped out of his stupor. Takashi backed up slightly as he was taken back by Saya being so close to him. Saya had her hands on her hips as she leaned in slightly towards Takashi.
"Sorry... I was in deep thought about our supplies..." Takashi lightly blushed and pushed past Saya as he checked the supplies in the bag. "I just realized... Did you get any clothing for you or the other girls back at our home?" Takashi turned to his friend as he tried to steer the away the conversation from getting worse.
"No...? I didn't realize that we were also here for clothing also..." Saya replied as she couldn't meet Takashi's eyes. "You didn't say anything about that you stupid idiot! Idiot!" Saya repeated herself as she punched Takashi in the shoulder and brushed past him and walked back into the main section of the store.
Takashi shook his head as he held a smirk across his face as he turned around to watch his friend begin collecting various different clothing items. Takashi couldn't help notice how tight Saya's shorts were around her waist. Takashi's eyes widened as he could see the slender waist of Saya's slim body as she leaned up to grab various amounts of items from a shelve in the aisle that she could not reach without help.
(No Takashi... we are not some pervert who gets a rod because a girl showed their body once!) Takashi mentally screamed at himself to stop thinking lewdly.
Takashi snapped himself out of his thoughts and walked into the room right behind Saya whom was still struggling to reach a piece of clothing on a shelve she could not reach. Takashi took the initiative instead of seeing his friend struggle, he reached up for the item for her and handed it to a surprised Saya.
"Woah! What are you doing so close?! You idiot!" Saya's face began go a tinted pink as she began to become embarrassed at Takashi invading her private space. Takashi saw this and stepped back and scratched the back of his head with a wry expression.
"Sorry..." Takashi's eyes refused to meet Saya's eyes as he also began to feel embarrassed for the same reason Saya was. "I think we should get going before we get overloaded with zombies. I have no doubt that making this amount of noise will cause them to be here if we stay here.
"... Good point..." Saya admitted as she looked down at the ground. Takashi turned his around to check the exit which they came through. Saya a few moments later looked up at Takashi and noticed him staring at the exit. "What is it? Takashi?" Saya asked with a confused tone lacing in her voice.
"The door has been unlocked this whole time, right?" Takashi turned to his friend for a moment before watching the door in-front of the two with a stern expression.
"Yes? It has been open this whole time, we came inside when we found it was open and now, we are leaving with the door being open... Why?" Saya took a few moments to get the words out of her mouth. Takashi nodded and turned towards the desk and continued to put the rest of the supplies into the bag.
"Don't you think it's odd that the door is able to be opened by anyone?" Takashi finished putting the supplies into the backpack and turned to face Saya. "Think about it... the front has bars protecting the outside and a metal door to go along with its protection...Maybe we are being watched." Takashi made a joke to Saya with a wry smile to go along with his tone. Takashi handed Saya the backpack before looking around the darkly lit room.
Takashi looked for any camera's that the two had missed prior to coming into the back of the store. Saya unwillingly put the backpack on that Takashi gave her. Takashi for no avail, could not see any camera's to open eye.
"I think you are looking into it too much." Saya adjusted the straps of the backpack to make it more comfortable. "I think we got lucky when we found out that we were able to loot this place, besides it'd be creepy if there was something watching us." Saya was now ready to get leaving the store that they had just finished raiding, Takashi met Saya's eyes for a few moments before changing his expression from a watchful one to an amused expression.
"You are probably right..." Takashi scratched the back of his head before walking towards their exit before turning to Saya. "Well... we are good for supplies for now, you got a mixture of stuff that we needed and so did I."
Takashi continued, Takashi opened the door to reveal the cold and dark sky beaming down to the two who were currently lingering in the back room of a store. Saya raised her eyebrows at Takashi.
"Ladies first?" Takashi chuckled slightly before showing her the way.
"Whatever..." Saya rolled her eyes and walked outside with Takashi following behind.
"Remind me to never treat you like a lady again..." Takashi mumbled under his breath. Unfortunately for Takashi, Saya turned around instantly and looked at him with an annoyed expression.
"What did you say?!" Saya exclaimed with her fist tensed as she waited for a reply off of her friend. Seeing this, Takashi began to become worried and quickly walked ahead of Saya.
"Nothing!" Takashi exclaimed back.
"Hey wait!" Saya realized how much of a gap that Takashi had created between them and tried to catch up quickly as possible.
With that the two continued into the scary night within the city that they had resided in their whole lives. Even with the zombie apocalypse affecting the world, the core of life within the city could never be destroyed. For Takashi and the group, it was one of the first 'Scary Nights' that they were going to witness. Things can only become scarier as each passing day went.
A watchful eye continued to watch Takashi and Saya make their way home to their home within the madness that is known as the 'zombie apocalypse'.
'How Interesting... the pair go to the school that she teaches at.'
The watchful person analysed as the pair talked to each other on their own way home through the city.
'Looks like I did not have to look too far for answers after all then.'
Takashi and Saya failed to notice the shadow watching them from the dark corners of the street.

"Uhhhhh..."
The groggy feeling of waking up began to take a toll on Takashi as he felt no energy coming from his tired and overworked body. Takashi was slouched on the sofa with his back leaned back and his head tilted to the side. Takashi used his right hand to wipe the tiredness out of his eyes as he began to get a grip on the surroundings around him. After rubbing his eye and letting out a yawn, Takashi dropped his arm.
"Hyah!"
Hearing the noise, Takashi quickly looked down to see where it came from. Takashi's face went completely blank when he realised where the voice was coming from. Seeing the sleeping face of one of his friends that he cared about, surprised him greatly. Takashi's eyes began to widen when he began to take notice of everything around him.
'Uhhhh... What's... happening right now? I could have sworn that I fell asleep alone on this couch...'
Takashi began to feel the significant weight resting on different parts of his body. Rubbing his eyes, Takashi took notice of the girls that surrounded him on each different side.
Shizuka rested on his right shoulder, Rei rested on his left shoulder all whilst Takashi was sat up straight against the couch. Takashi felt the irritating sensation of sleeping whilst sitting up straight, Takashi decided to not let it get to him as he took in the situation, he was in.
Looking around became difficult for Takashi as his eyes had to adjust to the impending darkness that lurked in the room. Although surprisingly for Takashi, he was just about able to make out the figure of two other people resting on the floor with blankets resting over them. The only source of light that made it any easier for Takashi to see was the moon shining through the small gap between the curtains.
Realizing how difficult it would be to get out of the uncomfortable position, Takashi sank back into the back of the couch in defeat. Closing his eyes, Takashi allowed himself think.
'Tomorrow is going to be an important day for us, if we can find Rei's mother and father, we can increase our chances of survival... and just maybe... find somewhere new to live.'
The idea of getting away to safety was enough for Takashi to smile slightly as he thought about the different locations, they could explore in-depth. Playing zombie games before, allowed Takashi to have a level of understanding on how they should go from their situation currently.
'The girls and Kohta are relying on me as their leader to get them through this as best as I can... I need to start thinking about the future for all of us.'
Takashi looked towards Shizuka whom was resting on his right shoulder. Takashi couldn't help but smile when he saw the cute expression of Shizuka as she nuzzled into his shoulder. Takashi moved his arm slightly as he wrapped his arm around Shizuka and let her rest on his chest instead. Turning to his left, Rei also seemed to make herself comfy whilst resting on Takashi's shoulder, Takashi did the same and wrapped his arm around Rei and let her rest on his chest instead.
Leaning back slightly, Takashi began to look at the ceiling that was looming above him as his mind began to drift off slowly as he became deeper and deeper in thought. For once, Takashi felt at peace for the first time in a long time.
'Surely there must be some sort of safe haven out there... somewhere that's not here. Wherever it is, it sure feels like a long way from here.'
"Hmmm..."
Takashi's eyes opened when he heard the muffle of one of his friends wake up slowly but surely. Takashi's eyes scanned and analysed each of his friend's facial expressions as he tried to figure out where the noise came from.
"Takashi?
Feeling the odd movements coming from Shizuka nuzzling herself into his chest more, Takashi's attention was quickly drawn to Shizuka whom wore a sleepy expression on her face as she began to wake up slowly but surely. Takashi could see the tiredness on Shizuka's face as he analysed her facial expressions, Takashi adjust his arm slightly and stroked the back of her head as gentle as he could.
"Hmmmm... that feels really... good." Takashi felt Shizuka move slightly as she readjusted herself to get more comfortable.
"I didn't think you would wake up... so late in the night?" Takashi checked the clock as he realized he got his prediction of it being night completely right. Shizuka's eyes opened up for a few moments before closing and opening a few times.
"hmmm... I've been drifting in and out of sleep since... you got back with Saya from that raid earlier..." Takashi nodded blankly as he continued to stare into the ceiling above him. "I never got to ask... how did the raid for supplies go?" Takashi's looked down from the ceiling and towards his busty teacher, instead of making eye contact with his sleepy friend, Takashi made eye contact with her perky breasts before looking away.
"Uhhh... It went well! I think you were fast asleep alongside Saeko when we got back... but to put it in a summary... Me and Saya managed to find a store that hadn't been looted... although it felt odd that all that free stuff was just left there without anyone attempting to take the supplies... we took as much as we could and made our way back without many hiccups on the way." Takashi explained briefly to the ditzy sleepy teacher. Shizuka looked at her student in admiration as her eyes widened slightly.
"Although, it still feels odd..." Takashi moved his hand to scratch his cheek before wryly smiling at Shizuka. "In the short time that we were out looting... not many zombies... no signs of life... nothing... it almost felt like that this part of the city had been separated and cleaned out." Takashi said his thoughts out loud.
"I am not too sure on whether that is possible." Shizuka moved a few strands of her golden hair out her face and sat up slightly. "I believe from the scenery that we have seen in this side of the city... we could be on the edge of the south side of the city. Maybe they haven't reached this part of the city yet?" Shizuka put a finger to her lips as she thought about the city so far.
"I think that they definitely have reached this part of the city by now..." Takashi chuckled slightly at Shizuka's optimism. "This might sound far-fetched for something that could have happened but... what about someone cleaning up the zombies in this area? It's possible... very possible." Takashi tried to think of the different amounts of ways to kill off the undead.
"Hmmmm... I'm sure there is a good reason there is a good reason why this part of the city is so empty compared to everywhere else." Shizuka thought about the idea of it being unusually quiet around south side of the city. Instead wanting to dwell on it any longer, Shizuka smiled innocently and instead drove herself into Takashi as she relaxed back on his chest.
"H-Hey! Shizuka! What are you doing?" Takashi whispered passive aggressively as he demanded answers from the busty teachers. Takashi felt the soft sensation of Shizuka's breasts pressing on his chest. This caused Takashi to go slightly red at the feeling.
"Hmmm... It's so late at night to be thinking about boring stuff like that! So, I thought I'd make things more interesting..." Shizuka giggled slightly before her hand wandered across her student's chest as she realized how defined Takashi was.
"What do you mean by 'Interesting'? Because there's various ways I can take that." Takashi moved Shizuka's hand from going anywhere her hand wasn't supposed to be. Instead of reacting to Shizuka's devious actions, Takashi refrained from having any lewd thoughts about the situation he was in.
"Well, I won't comment on that any further..." Shizuka eyed up Takashi like a slab of meat in a window. Resisting the urge to take the tension between the two any further, Shizuka looked away for a few moments.
"Speaking of which... how long have we been out?" Takashi questioned as he looked around the dark room for any signs of a clock within the room. Shizuka reached into the pocket of her shorts and grabbed her phone.
"It's still too late at night to be getting up..." Shizuka complained woefully as she showed Takashi the time on her phone. Takashi rolled his eyes in response to the busty teacher.
"I can agree with you that it is indeed too late in the night..." Takashi's mind raced as he tried to think of a valid reason to get up. "However, I think today will be a big day as I want to head into deeper into the city. Preferably the station as I want to look into what happened with Rei's parents..." Takashi looked at Rei for a few moments before making eye contact with Shizuka as his eyes filled with determination.
"You mentioned whilst we were on the road a few days ago Takashi." Shizuka smiled as she saw how much Takashi cared about his friend. "I must ask... whilst we are in the city, I wanted to check out my apartment to see if my friend has come back." Shizuka put her index finger to her lips as she thought about her flat mate.
"Of course, we can, I have a few ideas on what we should do from here." Takashi smiled awkwardly at Shizuka as he scratched his cheek. "After using these last two days of resting, I've come to the conclusion that we should continue to be on the move until we find a suitable home for us to set up our official home." Takashi mentioned his idea in mind vaguely.
"That's great!" Shizuka giggled and wrapped her arms around her student as she clung to him. Takashi blushed a light shade of red as he felt the bountiful breasts of Shizuka press against his chest.
"Ummmm... M-Miss Sh-Shizuka!" Takashi stuttered as he was embraced by the blonde bombshell.
"Hehehehehe."
With that, the scary night began to be washed away by the ever growing of the light impending into the city that the group resided in currently. What the group did not know was that this was the first step into endless adventures they were going to go through.
The End
Chapter three is coming between end of November and start of December.
