Also! I tried not to find pictures for what I thought my own character would look like because I'd like for everyone to have a unique experience with the character, but I found a few I liked, this being one of them. Except I imagine her to have a bit more of a masc. body/some features and all? if that makes sense! but that's a rough idea :D

Cw/tw:Panic attack, some not very friendly thoughts. Please do not read if you are uncomfortable or feel like you will be uncomfortable with this, It'll be okay :)

―――――――――――

After patching up the rest of the wounds, the trio left the bruised girl to rest. The stitches George had created weren't the cleanest, but with enough time and occasional healing potions, she would probably be good to start moving around. They group didn't know when their friend would Until then, she was lost in a state of tranquility.

―――――――――――

If it was up to her, Cypress would have stayed asleep for so much longer. Something in her body seemed to snap, which led to her eyes blinking open, soft groans coming from her mouth. For some reason, the masked man had been in the room with her, almost immediately moving over to check if she was okay. He found it odd how weird the girl made him feel, he had stayed up late several nights reading old books to the sleeping woman. It was the least he could do, he had never felt remotely guilty ever, but now seeing how he had left her in a weakened state made his heart hurt.

Cypress slowly tried to sit up, one of her eyes squinted in pain. She wanted to shower, to stand up for a while, to walk. She needed something to eat as well. Even without seeing herself, she knew she had lost muscle and weight. Her vision was still fuzzy, but she felt hands on her shoulders, gently pressing her back into the soft, feathered pillows. She gave it a few seconds to allow her vision to finally adjust. The first thing she saw was the lime green hoodie, as well as the man behind the mask frantically tying it back to his head.

"So,"She paused, gently rubbing her sunken in eyes,"How are you?"She asked carefully, Dream seemed startled, his shoulders were tensed."You know, you should loosen up, being so tense gives you neck and back pain."She advised, turning her head to the elaborate ceiling above her.
In only a few seconds, a large crash was heard in the room over, she could hear the pitter patter of boots running, only for the rooms darkened oak door to burst open. There Eret was, sweat trailing down his forehead, his eyebrows knitted in worry. He made a dash to the bedridden woman. She gave him a small smile, although some of the kindness and warmth faded from it. She looked exhausted.

"I'd like to get up."She spoke again, after realizing Dream hadn't answered or responded to her words. The two males in the room made no movement to stop her, so she swung her legs off the bed, attempting to get used to the foreign feeling. They felt like jello. Cypress breathed deeply and rocked for a few seconds before throwing herself forward and hoping for the best. She managed to stay on her feet for a few seconds, before her weak knees finally gave out underneath her. Dream and Eret grabbed her arms last second, letting the shorter woman use their elbows as a crutch.

"This is so infuriating."She seethed, taking a few wobbly steps to the door with assistance from the men. They both looked to be in complete shock, they wouldn't even tell her why and it was starting to piss the young woman off. Hearing the commotion, Sapnap and George joined the party in her room. As soon as they saw the woman out of bed, they froze. Georges gaze fell down to her abdomen, looking to shell shocked to speak. She looked down once she realized they wouldn't say anything, before her eyes widened. in place of the bloodied and burnt skin was a large, pink scar. The skin around it still looked decently burnt, but more of a sunburn type of burn. She carefully let go of Dream's elbow, gently feeling the tattered and stretched out skin. It wasn't at all pretty, but she expected a gaping hole in her side.

"How is it gone."Cypress asked, slowly loosening her tight grip on the white eyed man beside her. Seeing as there was a mirror to the left of her room, she finally got a good look at herself. Thankfully some of her muscle was still there, but in general she looked weak. Her body was pale and stained with what looked like bruises and small cuts. Her eyes were sunken in, despite being asleep for a few days, her body looked drained. She blinked, slowly letting go of the two men, quickly stumbling over to the mirror. She had almost fallen over a few times, but she gripped onto the wall to keep her steady. The four men in the room were silent, almost as if they were giving her a second.

"How long was I asleep?"She asked, calmer than she expected her voice to come out. Sapnap was the one to answer, the only one who would actually have a conversation with her, like nothing had changed. Like she wasn't weak and pathetic.

"Around four or five days."He answered, moving over to his friend, gently placing a hand on her shoulder, like she was fragile. She wasn't. God she wasn't fragile. Perhaps she was in this sort of panicked and snippy mood due to how she was living a constant nightmare for what felt like months. The four or five days she was asleep were more unbearable than the memories she held while she was awake.

"Hey, Cy, are you okay?"Sapnap asked, growing more concerned with the distant look in her eyes, she seemed to be struggling returning to her reality. George and Eret had left, leaving Dream and Sapnap with the young woman."Do you want to shower?"He decided to change the subject, hoping his friend would slowly start coming back to reality. The pale, almost grey, looking girl gave a small nod, letting Sapnap, with Dream following, lead her to the bathroom attached to her room. Sapnap, being as brother-like and protective as possible, slammed the door on dreams face, before running warm water into the bath. He thought of Cypress as an almost sister, and didn't exactly trust her showing all alone, especially standing.

"George and Eret are going to be getting food for you, I heard that it was fresh caught."He tried, allowing the girl to undress into her undergarments. He didn't think anything of it, and helped her into the tub. Sapnap had no trust in Dream or George to help her properly without making a big deal about it, Eret maybe, but even he might be a sore subject. Despite his best efforts, he couldn't keep his eyes lingering down her back. From where the back of her hair line ended, showing a shaved undercut, to the numerous scars etched into her pale skin.

He found it weird, there were many more than he originally thought, silvery and pink hued skin tangling themselves together. They almost looked like a design, of course with some outliers. The one dream had given her had gone straight through her abdomen, the scar was somewhat clean, but it was out of place.

He heard Cypress sigh, and lean against his hands, which were gently untangling her unruly black locks. He was careful around her skull, taking one of his own combs to gently pull out the kinks and knots. He massaged her skull, making sure to be as gentle as possible.

Cypress' Pov

I wasn't really paying much attention to Sapnap's fingers untangling my hair, it was definitely appreciated though. My own mind was lost in its thoughts, my nightmares concerned my old kingdom, especially the old friend who taught me how to fight. Knowing that Dream thought I was worthy enough to fight him made my heart warm. My friend, I haven't seen him in so long. His kingdom of sorts, wasn't really a kingdom. It was like a private fight club, you fought your way to the top whenever you pleased. Being a friend of the now ruler had always had its perks, I was allowed to dine on sweet and fresh cooked salmon, as well as being given the finest wine you could ever imagine. Thinking about it made my mouth water. His old shtick was being a god, how weak gods were worshipped with flowers, food and wine. While actual gods were worshipped in blood. Despite all these wonderful things, I couldn't shake the fuzzy feeling from my head. I felt numb, static even. It all felt like too much.

I turned down to look at my hand, even it was fuzzy from my vision. I could see the bones creating deep cavities in my hands, the veins being more prominent than ever. I began to cough wildly, letting out a scream into my forearm, causing the man behind me to hug me into his chest, despite being soaking wet. I was crying, all I could see was the blood on my hands. My soft begs echoed through my head. I couldn't hear anything. I was pathetic. Dream probably should've killed me when he could right? At least then I wouldn't have to go through all of this.
I felt water being splashed on my head, Dream was there. He was in the tub with me, asking to focus on his face, his mask.

I grow more convinced he doesn't have a face. I must've been speaking out loud, Sapnap had left after a small 'I love you', leaving us alone. Dream breathed out a shaky breath, reaching behind his head to pull of the fabric that held his mask on.

"Cypress focus on me okay? on my face, on my voice, me. Im here."He reassured, sitting down in the tub, pulling me into him. I was panting. It felt like I couldn't breath.
"Cy, it'll be okay, breath with me okay? Just breath."The dirty blond coached me through breathing exercises, squeezing my hand every so often to remind me he was still real.

"Im s-sorry."I choked out, my own voice hoarse, he shh'd me slightly, gently rocking up both back and forth, his clothes, as well as me, clinging to his skin.

"It's okay Cypress, im here, you're here. You're okay."
