Maybe this was a calling.... like this was supposed to happen. After all, he can't run a show forever.. So maybe taking care of kids will be something fun and exciting for him. And with others assisting him, he can maybe make a new life for not only himself, but his contestants as well. Balloon was kicked out of the hotel due to unexpected complaints about him. Due to this, Balloon was homeless, cold, and alone. Yet there was a place that he went to for safety, Meeple. In the pouring rain, he took a hot air balloon and arrived at Meeple with nothing but anxiety on his shoulders. Cobs, however, wasn't happy with this idea, but due to pity, he allowed Balloon to stay under his roof if Balloon worked for him.

This is a Steve cobs angst story because, why not? Also, the main plot of this story is basically a au where cobs was not blown up, instead he was kidnapped by Mephone4 and was now being tormented. Basically Mephone4 now manipulates and gaslights cobs into doing anything he says while also reminding him over and over about his wrong doings until it drives him insane
