Isabel is surprised when she is told to attend dinner with her father and brother. She did not eat with anyone but herself in years, she knows there has to be a reason for it. When she gets to know it it's more shocking than she could have ever imagined. She is to be sold off. Her father uses the word marriage but to Isabel being told that in 2 days she is to be shipped to a land far away and left to the mercy of a stranger is nothing but being sold. Soon Isabel finds out why her father and brother made such a quick decision, because of the money. She has to wonder what kind of man would pay for a wife he never even saw. Usually the bride is the one to bring a midgift not the husband.
