Twenty-something fledgling fashion designer Nia Walker is spicy-brained, foul-mouthed and tough. Well, that's what she'd have you believe. Really, she's just trying to survive living in a world peopled by equally colourful characters - from her secret slightly loopy Scottish fashion doyen grandmother, to her purple-haired godmother and her fashion-forward, permanently glittered and smokey-eyed rock god, fashion-model connoisseur best friend Matty "Nia darling it's Mathieu" Wifman. The pair finish each other's sentences, he loves more feminine clothes - Nia has never met a pair of tartan pants she didn't buy or make, and they've been friends forever (if forever is six years). But when Mathieu meets the supermodel of his dreams Nia starts to realise things are going to change forever and it's time to stop playing around and work out what she really wants to do with her life.
