An 'Urgent' Letter from Professor Egadd brings Starlow and the Mario Brothers to the Bean Bean Kingdom to his Coffee Shop. Upon arriving they are greeted by Stuffwell, Mario and Luigi's old Companion. They Meet with Egadd who is confused as why they all came so suddenly. Starlow  explains  how urgent sounding the letter was, but the professor shook it off and explained why he gathered them there. 

He begins to explain he's possibly created something that could bring about the Future of all the Kingdom's in the region, but there were some Bugs, Glitches, Etc and needed the Mario Brothers Help to tend to them.

When Mario and Luigi insisted they didn't know how to work with Technology, Egadd introduced Mario and Reintroduced Luigi to 'The Pixelater' (Introduced in Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon). A device that would allow Mario and Luigi to enter the Digital world and take the Bugs out at their sources.

Bummed out but understanding, Mario awkwardly holds his question for when she comes back. Then it further escalates to a bigger problem -- Peach's family is wanting to permanently move to the location of their vacation. Mario becomes devastated and tries to talk things out with Peach in order for her to not leave him because she means everything to him. Will Peach be able to stay or will things take a turn for the worse for the poor plumber?

As the SMG4 gang stumble and find themselves lost inside of a mysterious forest, they discover a glowing cave that holds a sacred crystal that is said to grant good fortune and power, but also dangerous consequences. To the groups surprise, the crystal gives each and one of them a special power. Except for SMG4. When they realize what kind of power the crystal really holds, SMG4 decides to take it back to the Showgrounds for further inspection and safety. Not just for that... but to also figure out why all of his friends have something special within them, but he doesn't. But what he doesn't realize is that power is hungrier than the people who want it. ("Episode" in the title basically means that it's an episode length instead of the usual novel or "movie" length.) He tried to find Peach and his brother in their rooms, but no one was there. Helen came out of the elevator and showed Luigi what she has done to his friends and brother. Helen was about to trap Luigi into the painting, but Luigi ran for his life. He went down the laundry chute. (I think that's how you spell it idk.) He was woken up by Polterpup licking his face. Luigi got up and wandered around, looking for a Plotergeist. But while he was in the laundry room, he found his old pal, King Boo. But instead of trying to capture him, King Boo was willing to help Luigi. Luigi was confused, but they both felt something for each other... Except Four, of course. SMG4 had originally planned to stay with Mario, but at the last minute he backed out of the offer, not wanting to impose on Luigi. Back to square one, it seemed... until his old rival decided to help him out, just this once. For some weird reason.
