When a mysterious will written by some distant maternal relative whom Aidan has never met lands on his doorstep, accompanied by a letter and a land deed it is just the sign he is waiting for. He'd finished the last concert of his most recent world tour and already told his manager he was taking an extended break. He feels rundown, unsure, and itchy. He keeps having weird dreams of a homeland he's never visited. So, he packs his bags and prepares for an extended change of scenery. He plans to live in the manor and renovate it at the same time. He arrives and finds it almost uninhabitable and just a bit larger than the pictures made it seem. Within the first week, he meets the local inhabitant, a ghost. She isn't too friendly and doesn't seem to appreciate him being there, so he decides to call in someone who knows more about these things. Thomas, who, on the surface, is a reluctant ghost hunter comes to the rescue. Aidan is immediately drawn to this smaller, bumbling man with red hair, golden eyes, and a fiery temper. Little does he know, there's way more than meets the eye. Thomas is not exactly human and has been sent to oversee Aidan's transformation into what he's meant to be, someone who helps spirits on their journey to the next world. Sadly, he has no urge to be there and would rather be making music, but he is assigned to Aidan by his family and doesn't have much of a choice. It is his calling after all. Thomas does everything in his power to make Aidan disown him but has this inexplicable urge to be near him all the time to keep him safe, which is irritating. As Aidan gets further and further drawn into the ghost story playing out in his dreams that appear as waking reality, will Thomas be able to keep him safe? Will Aidan be able to lay his first spirits to rest? And amidst all the turmoil, will love bloom?"
