Two boys, a mute orphan atheist and an innocent faithful believer, are kidnapped by an army Captain who needs their emotion-based magic powers to help him track down and kill the leaders of an enemy nation.

Long Description -
Dowyr Mawkin has always been an ugly, mute orphan, overlooked by all except the church clergy who want nothing from him but his acceptance of Heaven and the rest of the divine Sentinels.

Everything changes when Dowyr gains the Emogic power of Boredom. Sent to the Academy of Emogic to learn how to harness his power, he meets an unlikely friend in the form of Weynon Rozbury, an innocent boy whose unwavering faith in Heaven is matched only by his Emogic power of Peace.

When war is declared against the nation, the boys are thrust into the heart of the conflict, and both are forced to question how they see the world.

Even teen evil queens need love. Right? (Or at least a handsome sword-fighting minion to do their bidding!) *** Bad things happen when Rowen is around and the worst part is, she has no idea why until a massive family secret sends her on a fantastical journey to fight her evil fate. Will Rowen fold into the forces of dark magic or honor her true self? *** On the surface, Rowen Keckilpenny-Brown seems like a normal teenage girl with normal teen problems-no boyfriend, overprotective parents, and no friends other than a three-legged cat. But her wild red hair, reptilian eyes, and legendary temper say otherwise. When Rowen accidentally blows up the school gym, she discovers a dark secret her fathers have kept from her-she's the heir to an evil queen's throne. The current evil queen, Petronella Grimshaw, is desperate to crown Rowan the new sovereign and blackmails her into traveling to the queendom. Rowen has one month to learn how to evil queen, and it's not easy because there are those in the castle who want her dead, witches are disappearing, and an annoyingly cute swordsman keeps distracting her. Worst of all, Rowan finds herself in a duel against her biggest enemy: herself. She must fight her true fate, in the process uncovering deep familial mysteries and perhaps the biggest secret ever...That maybe, just maybe, she deserves to be loved after all. Princess Diaries meets the School for Good & Evil with a touch of Wednesday Addams thrown in for bad luck. The best kind! Cover by @ClarissaNorth

Riverly trains as an apprentice healer. Every day, she works tirelessly to mend the broken and bloodied Imperial soldiers who protect the Empire from the vicious forces of a radical cleric. And, every day, the war chews up and spits out the lives of conscripts. When a soldier appears in need of saving, Riverly's skills and quick thinking are not enough. Exhausted and frustrated by yet another loss, she makes a rash decision that changes the trajectory of his and her fates: She accidentally resurrects him from the afterlife. The reward for her efforts? The soldier orders Riverly by sword-point to meet the man commanding the Imperial forces, the Lord High Commander, a man known for his cunning and brutal tactics. What Riverly finds in the mysterious commander, however, is something both familiar and treacherous. Where she can snatch life away from the grip of death, he can call upon the deadly shades of the netherworld to strip men of their souls. Riverly now must make a choice: Enter the Lord High Commander's service and win the war, while risking her humanity and freedom, or flee and allow the shadow of death to grow across the Empire and endanger everyone she loves. Essairyn had never felt truly alive on Earth. It felt like something was missing ever since she was born, but even after twenty years of mundane living, she could never pinpoint what this or the emptiness in her heart was. Suddenly, she awakens in a grandiose, primordial forest and encounters both demons and spirits in a parallel world called Sol'h'meyr. She befriends, in particular, a sassy fox-spirit named Akari who just reincarnated after three millennia. Essairyn is an abnormal human with elemental powers, and Akari is being chased by those of her dark past. Together, they set out on an adventure in a world of magic, danger, mystery, and intrigue. But this not a game. That simple adventure is actually the modest beginnings in a chain of disruptions that tear even the dimensional fabric of time and space. No one, not even Essairyn, was who she thought she was. And not even the gods can change the destiny of the universes... A single promise shook eternity's existence. - Fantasy || Adventure || Romance || Action || Mystery || Drama || Science Fiction - Expectations for this Story: Immersive adventuring experience inside an intricate, magical world. Vivid imagery and deep characterization. Quirky magic system with mysterious elements and history. An original spin on the classic portal fantasy/isekai/waking up in another world interweaved with a science fiction twist. Scattered allusions and easter eggs. Builds expectations of future events to then defy that prediction. Slow-burn romance and complex, realistic relationships. Seriousness with a dash of humor. What if Narnia's wardrobe was in a psych unit? Agatha Stone is not the chosen one--she's the last one. She's thirteen, mentally ill, and whiny, but she's all that's left. She's not what they were expecting, but she's all they have. Maybe with the help of an entire village of magical trainers, teachers, and mentors, she'll succeed. Ancient adversaries, blood feuds, and rivalries must set aside their wars and differences if this is to work. And make it work they must, or Earth will burn just like Ashra. 🔮 I'm on the run with the Grim Reaper, a carnivorous pegasus, and a deadly soldier. How am I supposed to save the world when I'm not strong, not brave, not smart, and not particularly good at most things? They were expecting me to be a Knight. The savior that's supposed to stop a war and prevent the invasion to Earth, but I'm not, and I don't know how to tell them. 🎖🏅🥇🥈🥉 🏆 1st Place Action/Adventure The Lilac Awards "The Story was quite amazing!" 🏆 Hall of Fame - Fantasy: Concealed Voices Awards 🏆 1st runner up Fantasy The Society Awards "This book instantly drew me into a whole new fantasy world, created perfectly by the writer." 🦄🐙🧚👸🧞🧝🧜🧙🤴
