Nachdem Trunks, Cell in seiner Zeit besiegt hatte, war seine Zukunft endlich wieder  sicher und er konnte sich ein eigenes Leben aufbauen, bis er dieses allerdings beginnen wollte, wollte er seinen Vorfahren nacheifern und im Weltall umherfliegen. 

Nach einigen Abenteuern und nachdem er wieder nach Hause zurückkehren wollte, geriet er schließlich in einen gefährlichen Weltraumsturm, der ihn durch ein schwarzes Loch zurück zur Erde schleuderte. 

Er freute sich schon alles überstanden zu haben und wähnte sich in seiner sicheren Heimat, allerdings stellte er auf der Erde gelandet fest, dass dort alles anders war, als er es kannte und er sogar in der Vergangenheit gelandet war.
