I am a practicing physician and author living in central Vermont with my lovely wife Lisa and our four kids. Nine years ago, I picked up a pencil on a Saturday night and started writing a novel on an old college notebook I found underneath the sofa. Most of the manuscript ended up in the filter of my sister-in-law's pool the following spring--true story--but it was too late for me; I needed to keep writing. Nine years and three manuscripts later, I have a real, live literary agent (the wonderful Liz Kracht of Kimberley Cameron & Associates) and we are currently in the process of submitting to publishers.
